Sir, it's very nice video, but reason for +40 to response code is that strong enough to get convinced. well, let me explain. since we have OBD services request ids from 00 to 0F, it's positive responses will start from 40 hex to 4f due to the UDS services like request download(34), request upload, transfer data and transfer exit(37) so, UDS service responses are made to come after OBD responses to avoid collisions..
But for negative response also the 6th bit is 1. Can you please explain both the scenario? If only the 6th bit is changed then in negative response also the same bit is changed.
Is it ? Sorry bro I don’t know.. now a days TH-cam is playing so much ad.. even I get irritated.. what to do if I stop monetise then TH-cam will blacklist ku channel
Hi, Before proceeding to your doubt may i know what is the service name of 0x48 ? As per my knowledge there is no such service id .If you gone through the available services under UDS, you can't find the service Id with 40's The reason behind this is to make the ISO standard possible .you can see service IDs stop with 0x3E and starts again with 0x84 . Hope i cleared your doubt.
Hi Shraddha, Consider the next value i.e., 3F If there is a service ID as 3F then the positive response would be 7F, which is already allocated to a Negative Response (7F) Hence SID is restricted till 3E
You explain very well, I watch all your video in 1.5 speed... !! That makes me feel your voice more confident.
Oh great Mam !! Pleasure that you are liking most of my videos !!
@@EmbeddedWorldAutomotive All videos' are good , I am preparing for interviews , your videos' are helpful and easy to understand hard topics.

In this video I explained how to get all videos in order
Nice explanation, thank you, keep educating people..
In the place of C3 it's C8 for 0*83 SID
Sir, you said your next video is on Read DTC information service but i didn't find it. Have you made any video on that service ?
good Explanation,......
You guys are really good. Please add other videos also.

What is OBD
OBD is OnBoard Diagnostics 😊
Hi Team,
I Think Secured Data Transmission's SID is 0x84 instead of 0x83
Please correct in your slides
Thanks for ur time and suggestion.. We will look on to it
$84 Secured Data Transmission , you are right..
But for negative response also the 6th bit is 1. Can you please explain both the scenario? If only the 6th bit is changed then in negative response also the same bit is changed.
Very good explanation thank you
45sec ad and 50sec video.. good earning 👍🏻

sir for example request response is 48 but postive response 6th bit not for high

Hi
Small doubt as per video 6th bit is 1 for getting positive response ,after adding 40 only 6 bit is 1 ??
thank you
Why $0-9 values are not used as service identifier in UDS? Why it's starts from $10?
Service 10 is hexadecimal (0x10 -> decimal equivalent is 16). First 15(1 to 15) service identifiers are reserved for OBD services
One doubt, why the SID values range is 0x00 to 0x3E instead of 00 to FF
Hi Shraddha,
Consider the next value i.e., 3F
If there is a service ID as 3F then the positive response would be 7F, which is already allocated to a Negative Response (7F)
Hence SID is restricted till 3E
Sir why negative response always start with 7F
But still I did not get the answer. Why only 6th bit .. ( I know it is simply as per ISO)
How to create test case on RDBi
I think service id 11 binary form is 00001011 but why you write like this 0001 0001?
To differentiate response id and request Id
It might be better to metion +40 is in hexdecimal.
good video..but please remove the advertisement of 1 min
Actually some copyrights strike v got to some videos so for the back end coding we added like advertisiment...
0110 1000=binary value 106 but u said 68 who its possible
Hi can I get service Id 19 video link
Why we use 7F in for negative respond
7F is nothing but Negative response code service ID.
very good
For 83 why +ve responce of 50 ?
+SIVA RANGA REDDY
