Thanks to this tutorial I was able to do my first slides last month in Sardinia. I closed three after five tries only! I have always thought that your tutorials are the best on TH-cam and now I also have the evidence for it! keep it up thank you
@@kitesurfcollege I tried without the loop but not quite getting it yet.... It was a little too windy to try new tricks the last days!! But I'll get to it!!
Alex here, I'm the researcher. speaker, writer, video editor, demonstrator etc, and my wife is the camera operator. That's the whole team at the moment. I don't have a stuntman, but if anyone wants to volunteer they are welcome :-)
Hi Peter, yes definitely, you can just ride along and practice the slow steering back movement. If you get it right you should feel almost weightless on your board for a while. I am planning to make an intro video for sliding with some of these training drills.
I started trying this yesterday, but i am confused on why you always end on a transition (in this video), wouldn't be easier to just keep riding the same direction?
As you loop the kite you get pulled directly downwind so it's easier to just point the board the same way and transition back. That's what I've found anyways

Perfectly explained and easy to understand - thank you so much for breaking it down. Helps so much to visualize the move!
I like that you include some of the pitfalls with your featured lesson. Thank you
Amazing channel man. Quality work!

Thank you for providing this tutorial - nice and clear guide to get started.
sick! perfectly explained !
You are the best!!!
Thanks! I'm trying that today! 👍
Great, how did it go? It's nice to start without the loop if you're new to looping.

My main question is: is my impression correct that the speaker in the video is a professor-like kitesurfer that sends his stuntman perform the tricks?

@@kitesurfcollege Awesome work, really. You guys taught me everything !
Is it worth learning the kite movement first before attempting an integrated movement?

I can do it with boots but whenever i try with footstraps my feet always come out, how do you keep the footstraps on?
make the footstraps as tight as possible and really push your feet in. I always do one tack only wiggling my feet as far in as possible!

Where is this spot?
Hello Jason, it's mostly the Breede River in South Africa (0:25). There are also some shots from Langebaan 0:09 & 4:34
