What I would do to spend a day with this man. Your whole outlook on life would change. If I'm having a shitty day all I have to do is hear a few words from Joe and remember what a great thing it is to be alive. What an amazing attitude he had. If only there were more like him...
This man's my hero! People are so stupid. I would have had a heart attack for sure, or I would have paralized and cried so much that I couldn't have said a word.
Gawd, I love Joe. He is such an amazing PROPHET of truth in this life. Listen to him closely, he knows what is up and is so cool and calm about how amazing a person that he is...WE MISS YOU MAN!!!
Sadly, he died when I was four years old and I'm a really big Clash fan, if I was there and he walked up to me and asked me to go to his show, I would try not to freak out!
Joe was around for a LOT of years playing small venues and was always gracious with fans, same with Alex Chilton. But esp. in Joe's case with his heart condition no one knew about -you can't always assume they're going to be around.
music needs more people like Joe, the world needs more people like joe! I am so sick of seeing rappers and crappy "musicians" getting famous because they think the world needs to bow down to them. Punk and real rock and roll needs a comeback!!!!!!!!
***** in response to everyone who are pissed that no one recognized Joe,I had met the Clash in "82 in Asbury Park and at first I didn't recognize him at A.C. I took the flyer and walked about 10 feet and it dawned on me,so we went back and had a nice brief chat. sadly, couldn't go to the show that night
WOW !! i can't believe that !! i used to live in South Jersey couple years, i went to that show to the trump marina y i stay with Mr Strummer drinking till 4am there, i can't believe somebody film that .
Been a clash fan since the 70's and I work at caesars to how about that. PS This clips from let's rock again documentary about Joe Strummer from 2002 check it out it's great.
If I wasn't a little git back when Joe was alive and I'd seen him walking around I would be literally stunned. This man is my idol-- everyone else are ignorant. I'm 14. e_e
i want the flyer! this is so funny. Wow, people, this is Joe strummer!!! I've seen "Let's rock": i remember this scene and the one where he's going to the local radio and he has to precise, after saying he's Joe strummer, that he was the singer of the clash to have the door open. And the radio man stupidly puts on the only song of the clash he knows (the only clash song i dislike) Should i stay or should i go - where Joe doesn't sing. Joe's politely smiling and singing. This was great
if i seen joe on the street me or anybody i was with would of drop to our knees and began bowing, and repeatedly saying: "i am not worthy! i am not worthy!' with glazed over eyes.
It's sad I live about an hour from here and I would've gone down there whatever day that was just to see him on the board walk and to perform but I would only be a bought the age of two science I'm 13 now
he threw his cigarette in that shell from the trumpet playing man. did anyone noticed that? it was because of the american flag, that hung on the trumpet
If Joe strummer started talking to me while I was walking down the street, I would give him the biggest hug EVER
This breaks my heart. I would have died if Joe Strummer came up to me. Such an amazing man!
"They're thin and they're english.. They're sexy" 😂 What a humble down-to-earth babe, oh my god Joe we miss you.

when people don't know a legend, wow..
I probably would had a heart attack if he came up to me, I love Joe
could u imagine
This man's my hero! People are so stupid. I would have had a heart attack for sure, or I would have paralized and cried so much that I couldn't have said a word.
And on a sad note, little over a year later , He died. people that ignored him, I guess they missed their chance to see a legend on stage.
He is the man.Thank you for everything.
Gawd, I love Joe. He is such an amazing PROPHET of truth in this life. Listen to him closely, he knows what is up and is so cool and calm about how amazing a person that he is...WE MISS YOU MAN!!!
god i cant believe people dont know who this great man was my word.
Yeah, Joe was a man of the people, no ego BS.
Sadly, he died when I was four years old and I'm a really big Clash fan, if I was there and he walked up to me and asked me to go to his show, I would try not to freak out!

Gente que ignora a un Icono del Rock,,,,pero no le afecta,,,,el demuestra su educación y sencillez,,,necesitamos más personas como él
this breaks my heart!
music needs more people like Joe, the world needs more people like joe! I am so sick of seeing rappers and crappy "musicians" getting famous because they think the world needs to bow down to them. Punk and real rock and roll needs a comeback!!!!!!!!

I love it just an odd ball walking round people clueless
"They're thin(?), and they're English! They're sexy!" XD Joe, ten years on and we still love and miss you.
WOW !! i can't believe that !! i used to live in South Jersey couple years, i went to that show to the trump marina y i stay with Mr Strummer drinking till 4am there, i can't believe somebody film that .
I just can't believe those people don't know who he is.
I'd would have had a shit fit to meet him.
Man!! I wish I could have been approached by Joe Strummer! I wouldn't have ignored him!
Been a clash fan since the 70's and I work at caesars to how about that. PS This clips from let's rock again documentary about Joe Strummer from 2002 check it out it's great.

AMAZING stuff, never saw that...And just 5 minutes from my house
How could people not know who Strummer was? I would've have been as giddy as a school girl.
i wish i were in atlantic city that day with a copy of 'trout mask replica'
If I wasn't a little git back when Joe was alive and I'd seen him walking around I would be literally stunned. This man is my idol-- everyone else are ignorant.

Good God.. if Strummer came up to me, I would've been like, "Holy shit..." That's proof that everyone's taste in music is completely ignorant.

Come è possibile che nessuno lo abbia riconosciuto!!!!!!?????Manica di ignoranti beceri!

And that sure sounds like Joe is being filmed by Dick Rude.
@RandalBauer11

Or just that their taste in music is different to ours.
there are a lot of creeps in atlantic city i don't blame them from keep walking if they don't know him..lol
