A wounded nomad is forced to confront the guilt buried deep within him after falling in love with the enigmatic leader of a pagan cult.
The debut feature film written and directed by Dalano Barnes, starring Lydia Helen (The Little Mermaid) as The Crowmother. Soundtrack composed by ‪@keithmerrillmusic‬.
Amongst Crows is in pre-production, due to be filmed in 2024.
Dalano Barnes' short film The Man Behind the Machine (2023) was awarded for Best First Time Filmmaker (short film) at Cannes World Film Festival, Best Sci Fi Short Film at Touchstone Independent Film Festival, Best Sound Design at Touchstone Independent Film Festival, Best Exploration of Human-Machine Discomfort at Burano Artificial Intelligence Film Festival and nominated for Best Artificial Intelligence Film at Cannes World Film Festival.
Amongst Crows Concept Trailer was made by Louis Lingjaerde as Director of Photography, Samantha Hobart as Costume Designer, Solomon Watkins as Sound Recordist, Claire-Marie Hoelscher as Make-Up Artist, Louis Lingjaerde and Lydia Helen as Prop Makers, Connor Diffley as Unit Photographer, Lucas Velasquez for transport, James Galbraith as Colourist, Dalano Barnes as Producer, Writer, Director, Editor and Sound Designer. Also starring Kane O'Brien as the Crow Voice, and Thad Umrigar and Claire-Marie Hoelscher as the Crows.
