toki pona is a conlang (constructed language) btw, it was invented and designed by a person - Sonja Lang - for a specific purpose; to be as simple and easy to learn as possible.

Some interesting things about Switzerland not having minimum wage.....well its true but a lot more complicated. You can in theory take a job without ever asking the salary. It must be at least industry standard for the area as long as that salary is not stated. You can take them to court if they shortchange you. And then thers the union. Basically every job has the worker and the employer union. Although its not required almost every job giver is in the union. The ones who are not still see themself forced to provide the same as the ones in the union. There are to many alternatives if they dont. Well anyways normally the worker and employe union have a heated discusion each year about the "industry contract" which is an overarking employee contract where things such as minimum pay, mandatory holidays and more are stipulated. Switzerland has one of the lowest mandatory holiday per law in europe yet no one gets that feew. Some Industry contracts allow for the minimum but you never get less than 5. If you do you joust walk a dor further and get 5.
Anyways the workers union has quite the power as basically all workers of a job or industry are in very big unions. Which can organize strikes. Which you employer by law is forbiden from hindering you in partaking. So the workers will joust strike if they dont pay enough.

Funny enough, monolingualism is more popular in all the American continent. I live on the US-Mexico and there are peiple people who live and work in the US and speak hardly any English; the same applies for a lot of Latin America where a lot of people only speak Spanish.
It's obviously not universal, there are people that speak English, local native languages, French, and Portuguese dependong on where you are
