It's always nice to see someone with such incredible skill get mainstream attention. She is unquestionably the most skilled new artist this year, but the Grammy for Best New Artist has a way of cursing its winners with obscurity. For that reason, I hope she doesn't get the Grammy, but gets a LOT of new fans from performing at the ceremony. That's a better predictor of long term success, imo.
Mariah Carey and Christina Aguilera both won Best New Artist.
Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish, Megan Thee Stallion won Best New Artist too.
