Great review and demonstration, Mr. Li. You are correct: the Bell bicycle tire inflator products have lousy customer support. Bell doesn't publish the engineering drawings nor schematics... a real drag! I scoured the internet for a long time trying to find a parts diagram... I COULDN'T FIND JACK! The only information available is through other pump brands that are similar. What is crucial is the proprietary check valve components sequence of assembly. The check valve stops air from returning to the pump cylinder. So, the air is retained in the line/hose, and the pump shaft doesn't pop upwards. The check valve also maintains the pressure to the guage (if your pump has one), such that you can see the guage reading and leisurely remove the air chuck without a hassle. Yeah, like the other dude quipped, cool shoes!
Thanks for showing both valve types. A Presta valve is much easier to pump with a Topeak. The how to videos I've seen show how to use only on a Presta valve and the Schraeder is the one I think most people have trouble with.
Great review and great advice! I have a Topeak, and other bike tools and have the same experience - pay a little more and get the job done. Buy a bargain, and get a puzzle most of the time.
I have a floornado. It was the only locally available option for me and was initially only for airing up the tires in a jogging stroller once a month. Now I have a bike and had some issues attaching to the presta valves (but it's the first time I've ever used a presta valve opposed to a Shraeder Valve) when I went to air it up, but I really haven't had other issues with it. When it starts giving me real issues, I'll replace it with a better pump. (I'll also get a hand pump for emergency use).
My Topeak died yesterday after almost 20 years of near daily use. I replaced it with this current model - and BTW, comparitively speaking with regards to quality bike pumps, the Topeak is the cheap one.. definately a deal.
I bought a Bell Floornado 550 also....what a waste of money. I hate it. Doesn't start pumping air until halfway down, very difficult to attach to most any valve stem, and seems impossible to pump up a football, basketball. or speed bag with a needle valve. Again, I hate the Floornado.
Also made the mistake of getting a 550. I thought it looked great for a good price. It’s complete garbage though. Won’t even pump air anymore until almost 90% of the way down. Totally broken. Took it apart to try to rebuild and realized that the shaft has so much play that all the air just escapes out the top when you pump. Explained everything. Total garbage. Don’t buy Bell.
I have the floornado 650. It’s fantastic. The cable is longer. I have only tried the schrader valve and it never ever leaks. It’s incredibly easy to pump. For 50-70 psi, your 550 is the wrong kind of pump. It’s built for high pressure and it’s low volume. The expensive pump is taller and higher airflow combined with higher pressure.
The floornado 650 is only for MTB or thicker tires used in hybrid bikes and such. Since I have many roadbikes requiring 100+ psi, the 650 will not work. Eventhen, I probably will buy a steel bodied high volume pump as to the floornado for durability and easy of pumping.
Siera has the Topeak on sale for $10 off MSRP www.sierra.com/topeak-joe-blow-sport-iii-floor-pump-160-psi~p~18ytx/?filterString=s~pump%2F get one it's worth it!
I have a topeak floor pump using more than 15 years using for both presta and schrader . Still using without problems.
awesome! good to know
I own a very cheap pump with gauge from Walmart since 2010, It still working perfectly every time.
If it works, no need to replace

Wow I literally have both of these from the thrift store and was researching which was better. Glad there's a video answering my exact question.

Your video helped me decide to buy this Topeak pump..thank you
Do you like it after 3 years?
Floornado 😂😂😂 Well they win for naming. Priceless 😂
Is Topeak still working properly after 2 years ?
Yes, still using it every week.

It's worth it to invest in a good pump that's priced above $40. It will literally last you decades
very good , right to the point; thanks !
Thank you!
You're welcome!
What are those boots your wearing, I like

Seriously DO NOT BUT THE BELL FLOORNADO!
In all honesty! The Bell Pump will last a good week or two. Utter junk!!!!! JUNK! JUNK! The intake valve took a shit after a few pumps.
i gave it away for free after video review, i hope the new owner don't hate me for it

Good review but you're a little bias. I demand a recount of the minutes of the Hell pump because you were talking half of the way 😂😅.

Vey few views like me! 🙁
Try to make content on products which people really searches!
Otherwise I really like your approach on making videos.
My Bell Floornado doesn't work either. Garbage.
