Ah like how you immediately hammered out that the Covenant is not a modern military and shouldn't be thought of as such. Just looking at the weapons and vehicles show the Covenant for what it truly is, Crusaders in space. The overabundance of Melee weapons, one handed fire arms. The Wraith being basically a plasma catapult, ghost's and banshee's being basically cavalry.
The reason we made tanks was because catapults became obsolete. I imagine the Covenant came to the same conclusion. The Covenant were religious and scientific. Their weapons of war were always upgraded throughout the ages. It was far more modern than calvary and arrows.

This is a very refreshing video indeed, my only gripe is with your depiction of Tel Szatulai since he is seen wearing “indigo assault armour” and he “did not remove his helmet for his sect forbade it”. 1st Blades of the Silent Shadow had red suit lighting not blue. Apart from forgetting to mention Kig Yar bloodstars I’d say this video is rather accurate and in depth.
Thanks dude. I completely forgot about the Kig-Yar Bloodstars. As for Tel, I simply used his official Encyclopedia depiction as it is technically canon
Can't forget the Slugman, was a cut enemy nade of Hunter worms, and were used as Snipers apart of relic retrieval teams where Kig Yar Snipers weren't trusted
@@JohnnyTightlips2007 You could use The Storm Covenant as just a rank. They basically had the same roles as the brutes in the original covenant. You could have them being dropped off by phantoms and can be led by an Elite Ultra or General.

Technically when you depicted a Kai’d shouldn’t the Brutes be specifically Stalker Brutes? I thought the Bloodstar Brutes were a special group of Stalkers. Also could be wrong but didn’t Kig Yar Snipers also use Needle Rifles aswell?
@@covenantcanon7970on question I had, is a Kai‘d the step between a file and legion or is this purely specialised? Because it seems to me like a huge step up from a squad sized unit to an what feels like a brigade or division sized unit with no in between. Even in the very decentralised system of the Covenant
They aren’t called Majors and I’m basing the information on the Encyclopedia, which states the Hunters don’t have formal ranks in the Covenant military
That would be the Yonhet. They weren’t technically a member-species of the Covenant, mostly because of their small population and cynical attitudes toward the Great Journey. instead, they were unofficial associates living in the fringes of the Covenant, mostly serving as traders, couriers and smugglers. When the Human-Covenant war started, the Yonhet wanted no part in it, and so actively avoided the conflict, making them an extremely rare sight during the war.
The Yonhet. They were a part of the covenant fringe and weren't used in the human covenant war due to their small numbers and how physically weak they are. And where used as smugglers and intel gatherers.
Thanks to a few comments, I made an oopsie: I forgot the Sluggman and the golden Hunters from ODST. Apologies for that.
Maybe record those and insert them through editing into a re-release?
everyone forgets the golden hunters 😔

Ehhh
Mm
Tbf since Energy shields exist Close Combat is kinda the only viable way unless you use realy High Power weapons.
Sniper caliber gattling gun😂

I am impressed that the Warhost got mentioned, very little lore about it is known as it only appeared in Ground Command.

I'm using Slugmen in my own Halo 4 reworking concept in order to create a replacement to the Storm Covenant.

Also how is this fan made content giving more lore than official games
Correct me if I’m wrong but wasn’t there another race of the Covenant introduced in Halo: Nightfall. I remember them being humanoid type aliens.
