Don't mean to burst your bubble but nord isn't all it's chalked up to be. Fast connection doesn't mean it's necessarily gonna work. They had protection lite already in the app. They took it out and made it an extra download. The always connection doesn't work if threat protection is on. It use to work great before, but now they've gone all higgly piggly. They don't give proper explanation on the updates. It constantly disconnects. You literally have to tap the disconnect and reconnect again just to turn it on. Half the time it goes to it'll take a minute to reconnect it never reconnects. Also, it connects to unknown. I was truly a nord supporter up until a year ago. Trying to have a conversation with tech is like talking to a sock full of soup. The app was better especially before apples latest update. I could say more, but I'll be here all day. I'm just truly greatful I can watch you guys. It'll make me forget at least for a little while. Until TH-cam lags and I have to go in and change locations like 50 times just to watch anything. Supper times and weekends are the worst tho. Doesn't work for sht then. Thanks for letting me rant. I love you guys. You make me laugh. 😂Cheers.
i really appreciate the editing crew highlighting the moment shane kicks the laser grid on accident. it goes to show that everyone on the ghost files team values honesty and integrity in their work
I mean, my first ever investigation was in a small school so when we were done investigating we just fell asleep in the room with all the equipment. Oddly enough, I was scared as hell and that was the best sleep I got in a long time😂
While it's still funny to know Shane did kick the grid without realizing it, part of me likes to think the ghost was telling them the grid was moved to be like "hey, you ruined your setup. I'm trying to help you here. It's pointing to cell five instead of down the hall"
Streaming service drama aside, this is one of the most genuine ghost hunting channels I've found. They feel much more honest and authentic compared to some other channels who try to hype up everything. Keep up the good work, Ghoul Boys!
I want you all to know, I live 30ish minutes away and i go here every October when Shane yelled yu-gi-oh, I go there every year and every year I bring my yu-gi-oh deck so imma assume I was given a ghostly shout out
The fact that Ryan got TOUCHED by The ghost and didn't scream and run away is amazing lol I remember the beginning of their ghost hunting days. He's come a long way!
‘Quiet Hour’ is a thing they have in mental facilities! I know it sounds like a stretch but as soon as I heard that obelisk thing I got flashbacks fr💀 (I’m a skeptic but honestly that kinda freaked me out)
We've investigated TALA for years and every time we're there its extremely active! I'm not sure if you are aware but the young male juvenile ward where Ryan's belt was touched, Ryan was standing where a nusrses station used to be. A guide told us that there was a stabbing of a patient in that area and the patient crawled on the floor to the nurses station for help. The fact you were standing in that spot helps validate the evidence you caught. This was the first place I personally saw a full bodied apparition crawling on the floor, towards the same spot. Despite the saddness that occured there, this is my favorite ward to visit because they are so intelligent and responsive. The cigarettes help too haha.
I really like the idea of the heart rate monitor, but why is it so randomly shown? Like it would be cool if it was always on screen not just randomly popping up. AND PUT IT ON SHANE TOO!! It’s hilarious to see how calm he is.
According to the behind the scenes stuff. Shane does have a heart monitor, but it was not working for a lot of the time. They say where they did have his heart rate it was super low.
The ghost grabbing Ryan's jacket is one of the most compelling pieces of evidence y'all have ever captured. Genuinely made me go "what the hell is THAT?" out loud
19:15 for anyone curious, the word the ovilus says (monachi) is apparently a variant of an italian verb meaning "to put someone in a convent or monastery"...? or it could be a variant of the latin word it's derived from, which means monk? (source: wikitionary page for "monacare" and "monachus") weird ass word to put in the ovilus' dictionary lmao
For debrief, I think the words "five", "cube", "interupt" could be interpreted as Shane kicked the grid and pointed it a cell 5, interrupting or disturbing anyone who's in the cell? The cube either refers to the gadget itself, which is box-shaped, or cube as to the laser grid itself. Just a random thought.
@watcher For #Debrief #debrief : ❤ HEY GHOUL BOYS! I HAVE SOME SUGGESTIONS! My Ideas for more "clinical/scientific" methods of investigating: I believe the only way to truly determine that your reactions to locations (senses, feelings etc) and whatever "evidence" you come up with are really due to paranormal activity is to do some controlled testing. I'm no scientist by any means but here's my suggestions to have a more clinical (in my opinion) approach to these paranormal investigations: Have the crew take you to nine different locations and film in groups of three (per season). Three of the locations will be supposedly haunted, seven will be regular old houses or forests or wherever. Shane, Ryan and the filming crew won't know which houses or locations are the haunted/paranormal ones. The person arranging all this can write made up histories/tragedies/theories about the non haunted locations and they can hire actors to be interviewed on camera telling about their "supernatural experiences" at the houses/locations and where they supposedly happened within the buildings/ locations. Having listened to the "history" of the locations and learning about where specific instances "happened" Ryan, Shane and the crew can set up filming and paranormal equipment in certain areas to see what evidence they can capture. Perhaps some fans of the show can create fake histories of specific locations and create fake footage of ghostly evidence to lend credibility to locations. It'd be even better if there is actual violent history of a location even if no one has found evidence that its actually haunted. The staff could do: Group A: Haunted, Not Haunted, Not Haunted. Group B: NH, H, NH. Group C: NH, NH, H. Or... cruelly they could have all the haunted locations in one season always be the first in the group lol. Have the crew do all the filming and editing etc and post. Ask fans in the comments to try to figure out which of the locations were actually paranormal and then a member of the crew will reveal which location was actually paranormal at the end of the following Debrief. This allows Ryan and Shane to discuss their thoughts/feelings on the locations and go over evidence and theories pointed out by fans for the Debrief. There could be an official poll of the fans to determine if they believe the location to be a supposedly haunted location or not, then Ryan can tell us If he thought it was haunted or not and then the people arranging all this can reveal if it was real or fake. It would be really funny to see if Ryan would freak out in a non paranormal regular location and it'd be interesting to see if he'd find evidence in those locations. Lastly, you might consider bringing along a female on investigations that involve children ghosts. Perhaps a woman with a kind voice might be less intimidating theoretically to a kid ghost vs two grown adult men (especially a taller man)? I'd volunteer if you came to Ontario Canada.... Speaking of Ontario Canada here's some potential filming locations in Ontario Canada: The Old Kingston Penitentiary, Fort Henry, Bolt Castle etc. I'm sure there's many more.
As an employee at Trans-Allegheny, once again thank you guys for creating the greatest episode ever produced for this iconic haunted building. We hope to see y’all again…soon. We still have many buildings for you guys to investigate. CIGARETTES!!!!
This was actually one of the most boring episodes, the use of the glow stick instead of flashlight is bad for the viewer// very little ghost evidence. Shane lacked energy in this video
This is probably the hardest episode I’ve ever watched. my great grandmother was hospitalized & ultimately died there, after what would now probably just be labeled as postpartum depression.
@@ppogepenne2199 Yup, you can clearly see the pouch get pulled from the top, idk how Ryan would be able to do that from the position he's in, and his jacket suddenly being pushed could just be it got caught on the button of the pouch.
the walkie thalkie thing just looked like it got caught in one of the zippers teeth BUT the jacket 100% looked like it was pulled outward which.... how does that work???
The strap from his belt was getting caught on the zipper… Hard to say what the movement was initially, but when you can easily debunk it when the camera was up close, I think it’s fair to assume a similarly logical cause before too. With the way he was holding his arms, the jacket was just getting caught on equipment he’s not used to wearing with the jacket.
I can't speak for Ryan but it seems his hair is wavy, so it would require shampooing 2 times a week, conditioning alone 2 two times a week and use a hair serum on the days you're not shampooing or conditioning (btw in shampoo day, you use conditioner afterwards) and ofc maintain a good diet with plenty of biotin and collagen, you can get them in supplements too! Hope that helps, that's my routine and my hair is like Ryan's rn
@@emily.hagemanthank you!! And it’s ominous as hell in there, it’s very very quiet and everything around you is falling apart as you can see, and you really feel a tightness in your chest as the history of the place really hits you hard.
My grandfather was actually committed here towards the end of its run. He is still alive and doing well. I need to ask him more about his stay here to see if he experienced anything. People sleep on WV, but I think there is something about the Appalachian range that does invite creepy things to happen. Happy to see people coming to my state!
WHAT IF you guys bring that cactus toy that repeats every sound it captures (made for babies lol) and leave it among the ghoulies to freak them out or something
I am not but I had the same reaction when I saw the title for the first time, I guess my brain saw the words before reading it slowly and jumped into conclusions quickly lmao
Me and my grandpa have been a fan of Ryan and Shane for a while now, unfortunately he did pass away this Tuesday and it took a lot of joy out of my life, but watching this has really been helping me out a lot, I love Ghost Files a lot❤️
So sorry to hear about his passing. Let's hope he's somewhere else, watching have fun and remembering the good times you had together. Sending all my love to you ❤
It was nice of the ghosts to let you guys know your equipment was moved 😂 They said "Oops, big guy kicked the grid thing into cell 5. Better let these poor bastards know."
All the talk of the belt but isn't that one a little weird. He kicked it to point at 5 on accident. Then the box says 5 not long after. I dunno how many numbers and stuff it spews that they don't show. But that's quite the coincidence
imagine getting stuck on this god forsaken planet for eternity, trying to get some good night sleep, and then some jack ass kicks a lazer grid right in to your room. at 3AM I would be just as coherent "... 5, box, disturbed...."
The floor where Ryan’s belt was grabbed is known for activity of people getting their keys grabbed out of thier hands/pockets which makes this even more compelling! I have been to Trans-Allegheny many times (I live about 15 minutes away) and have had many experiences and have been told multiple times by tour guides working there that that type of grabbing activity is often reported in that ward. Very cool evidence methinks :)
20:59 Supernatural or not, I think its sweet (and tragic) that ladybugs are in little lily's space esp when you think about how ladybugs can mean protection and are often associated with newborns or toddlers. Maybe she's getting a kind of comfort and security in the afterlife that she should've gotten in life. Rest in peace sweet girl 🕊
I agree, but its kinda ironic that they are known for that when they are cannibals as soon as they hatch. But still sweet to think about. Personally, I think they are gross.
For the debrief!! I worked every year for years in the Tuberculosis wing (the building to the left when entering by the fountain), where they hold the haunted house in the fall, and seeing you guys somewhere local that I’m connected to made me jump for joy!! I just wanted to drop a little tid bit I’ve heard: The haunted house was once hosted in the main building, for one season. They never held it in the main building again because an actor got dragged down a hallway and the customers walking through the haunt saw it and thought it was part of the act. It wasn’t.
@@audreysymons7531 I live local also, my grandmother in high school had to go there for some reason and she was very scared, she had to stay overnight and she couldn’t sleep due to screams! Very scary 😭😭
I like how Ryan literally got tugged off and he was genuinely excited. I figured he would screamed and pissed himself. But he seemed happy to find something physical. (Probably just his coat ends rubbing his belt, but still. Feeling a tug job, ghost or not, in that creepy place makes for entertaining television)
even if Shane had kicked the grid machine thingy, I think it is pretty damn compelling that the ovulus said "FIVE" and the door had the number 5 on it. Maybe the ghost was trying to inform you that you guys kicked your equipment?
I'm not saying it's not -- I mean, the universe is a big, weird place and we know F-all about it -- but that bit of evidence reminded me of the way "psychics" work. You start with a vague piece of info (in this case, the number 5) and then look around for something that the vague piece of info might fit. E.g. before they saw the cell was number 5, they saw 5 buckets. If the cell wasn't #5, everybody in the comments would be talking about how the ghost may have been letting them know it was in the room by telling them the number of buckets that were there. If the buckets hadn't been there, they would've found something else that lined up with the "5" info. E.g. 5 bars on the window or 5 people in the crew or something. At the end of the day, the Ovilus is a random word generator with a word bank of ~2000 preset words. If you jumped on the internet right now and found a random word generator site and started generating words, then tried to match (or draw connections to) the random words you were getting to stuff in your immediate vicinity, you'd have about the same hit percentage that the Ghoul Boys get with the Ovilus. There was an app that was popular 4-ish years ago where you'd ask a question (out loud, to yourself) and then press a button and the app would give you several coordinates within a set number of miles from your location. Then you'd travel to those spots, one after the other, see what you noticed or found in the area, and try to figure out how whatever you saw/found at each location pointed to an answer to your initial question. People FREAKED OUT over the things they found, the "answers" they got, etc. I tried it also (just for fun) and found it was basically just a jumbo-sized version of Tarot cards (where you choose random cards that represent vague ideas that you then try to connect to your question in some way, the process of which helps you think out what you really want to do). A fun psychologic tool, but not magic in any way. Basically, our brains evolved to look for patterns in everything and, if you try hard enough, you can make connections between any random thing you find and whatever question you started out with. Same with the Ovilus. It says, "Farmers" and you could think, "Oh, I wonder if the ghost is trying to tell us that many of them in here had been farmers before they were committed. With the time period, that would make sense." The Ovilus says, "Angry" and you think, "Ooh... the ghosts must be angry." The Ovilus says, "Power" and you think, "That's right, the power in here is turned off. Do you want the lights on, ghosts? Or are you saying that you like the power turned off? Maybe the ghosts knocked out the power." The Ovilus says "sandwich" and you could respond, "Are you hungry, ghosts? Or are sandwiches what they served here for lunch? Did they have good sandwiches?" The Ovilus responds "Portion" and you say, "Are you saying the portions of sandwiches weren't big enough?" The Ovilus responds, "Bill" and you say, "Was your name Bill? Is there a ghost here named Bill?" You could play that game with random words all day long. And every once in a while, there'd be one that matched something nearby close enough that you'd go, "That's actual evidence of ghosts!" It's not. It's just coincidence and the law of averages.
@@johnplaysgames3120 normally I would agree with you, but like, what they had to work with in the rooms was BARREN. There's wasn't much but the five buckets, and the cell DID have 5 on it. This particular instance is way more compelling to me because of the repetition of the number of interest, and also because it genuinely didn't feel like an attempt to shoehorn some random word into the situation (like if Ryan would've tried to insist, idk, 'island' was incredibly relevant.). It also only said five AFTER Shane started talking about the buckets. to your last point, yeah that's trying to make sense of nonsense that's not too far out there. Those are random words, unassociated with the situation at hand, really, unless you squint or conjecture. Sure it could be a coincidence, but it compels me, at least. With that many words coincidences are unlikely, though not impossible. I find it very interesting!
Stuff like this reminds me of the Star Trek TNG episode ( 5x24) were Geordi and Ro Laren get...uhm...slightly "phase shifted" and they try to get the attention of the crew but it's difficult for them. Because everybody on the crew just goes "Hm, that's a weird coincidence." The ghost goes like... "Okay, uhm...they kicked they their thing. It's pointing at cell #5 now. I can work with that! FIVE! FIVE! FFIIIIIVE!!! *bleep, Five*. "No...not the buckets...okay maybe...look at the cell! The Cell! Yes! Yes!" *bleep, Spaghetti...bleep, Apple Tater* "NOOO!!!"
unfortunately i am the oldest of seven kids and now i work as a nanny and i regret to inform you that kid's toys are just Like That. the amount of times I've put the kids to bed and then get scared out of my skin by some noisemaking toy is innumerable
yes! 😂 when i was little i had a firetruck thatd move and go wee-woo with blue and red lights, and one night my mom hears clattering and the siren, comes into my room to find it had somehow fallen out of the closet and turned on by itself! it was apparently making circles right in front of my bed, blaring its siren and flashing lights as i was blissfully asleep...she threw it out after that not to get woken up again haha (edited cause i just asked her and she remembered more details)
We had a few we had to get rid of after they went off in the middle of the night multiple times. Being mooed at at 2 am then having a song sung about going to sleep by a creepy child voice, not ideal for a good nights sleep.
and if it's not kids toys it's animals being noisier than people think. once had someone convinced that a soldier was marching back and forth upstairs in my house. nope, that's where the cats do their ritual zoomies.
Shane kicked the grid and a ghost promtly notified you that them squares interrupted their peace in cell number 5. Then you disturbed a child's 'quiet time.' Then had your belt jiggled, twice. During the ESTES method, got 'Hey, how are ya?" & the return of the legendary "Spaghetti." (I also liked "Nurse" & "Off!") 10/10, one of the best haunted placed you've investigated, what a comfy episode! The lightstick is just a cherry on top!
The jacket situation was so crazy, but the ghost telling you guys that the grid got moved was tops for me, the homie was so considerate lol also 1:12:51 - the boo buddy asking about the time and the timer beeping at the exact same moment was nice
The genuine little hug after Ryan's investigation is so adorable I like that you can tell Ryan and Shane actually enjoy each other and consider themselves close friends. It's rare to see guys willing to give their friends affection like that. I hope they both feel appreciated ❤❤❤
sadly i do kinda feel like there were more of these moments in years past, but its definitely still nice to see them still happen here and there. (i promise im not trying to insinuate that they don't love each other still. far from it) i can't remember which episode it was, but my favorite little moment was in, i think the first season of ghost files, when ryan is sitting at the top of a stairwell and he's clearly truly terrified and asks for shane to join him at the top and in an instant, shane does without any kind of teasing at all. its a tiny moment, but super wholesome.
See this is why I like your investigative reporting on the paranormal. You don’t go out and call shamans or “witches” to clean the spirits. You go and do what you can to prove if the paranormal is real or not. Also another thing I love about you guys is that you go back through the video to see if you made mistakes and correct them right away before someone else points it out and calls you out. You guys are the best! Thank you!
What? You can see he didn't. He walked past it, and came from the other direction (Edit: rewatching it a few times I realised I missed the thump he made, ignore this comment lol)
the fact that they made it known really shows their integrety though. most ghost hunting shows wouldn't have gone through their footage to highlight the barely visible moment someone accidently makes evidence and would just go with it
@@dephtons yeah thats what i thought, it seems like had he kicked it it wouldve been flipped the other direction, facing the doorway rather than the cell. its kind of hard to tell
I'm waiting for the time a ghost finally comes out and does something undeniably blatant, and Shane goes "I guess they are real." while Ryan goes "Alright, who staged this?"
The first person cam of Ryan running at the end made me feel like I was in a video game I love the first person cams. Also giant Shane hugging Ryan at the end was very cute.
I can'tt understand how Shane is SO unbothered. I mean come on you are alone in a "haunted" asylum hugging a creepy dollman that looks like it has a skin mask. I need this calmness in my life
He doesn't believe in the paranormal, simple as. He's a THOROUGH sceptic. Put that man in a room with 500 annabelle dolls each one with a demon and he's gonna flip them all off individually
During the replay at 14:30, you can actually see the reflection of the laser moving facing the cell wall indicating that Shane indeed accidentally kicked the equipment.
imagining if one of these solo investigations ryan just pranks everyone and goes quiet and doesn't come out/hide somewhere, to see how SCARED shane would be then along with the staff 😭😭
For the debrief Q/A: Do either of you have any personal rituals or superstitions you do before going into haunted places? P.S. You guys are the only ghost hunters I’ll watch anymore, thank you for being honest at every location you investigate. You have earned the trust of many!
There's literally no way for him to move the pouch in the way it movved from his position leaning back like that. The pouch was being jiggled and pulled from the top, that shit was wild.
about halfway through the ep i started think "this place is so big that if ryan died then not only would it probably take 30-40 minutes to realize, but also probably another 30-40 minutes to find him"
For the debrief: When Shane is on the fourth floor in his solo and we turn to the static cam to hear the knock, right after Shane stops talking you can hear what sounds like someone breathing out.
We got babadook, we got mothman, and now we have the trans Allegany lunatic asylum! Which honestly makes sense, considering homosexuality was a crime and considered "sexual deviancy", as well as mental illness according to the dsm. The place is probably full of our queer elders' ghosts
"Mama mia the spaghett isa bit spicy!" Or maybe it's some anglosaxon mf thinking spaghetti is too spicy for his taste, and that he prefers clam chowder or something
This place is up there with the Waverly Hills Sanatorium in terms of the creepiness and eerie factor. Also hey, Spaghetti ghost made another comeback! Only apple tater is left
I'm a pretty hardcore Shaniac but I must admit it was a pretty weird coincidence how the ovilus said "5" and there were not only 5 buckets in the room but the light grid was also now mysteriously facing the cell labelled "5." Absolute cinema!
Yeah coincidence is the keyword though unfortunately. I don't know how the ovilus is built but it could have a listening device built in that might influence the words it returns. Similar to mentioning blankets near a phone or Alexa and then getting a bunch of ads for blankets.
Taking advantage of coincidence is exactly how the Ovilus works. When it's relevant one out of ten times, you'll always focus on the one instead of the nine, ignoring the fact that coincidences happen all the time. It was a great moment, though. Very entertaining.
Fun Fact , believe it or not this place only closed in 1994! The first year my father became a cop he actually transported patients down there. This video does not truly show how absolutely MASSIVE the asylum truly is, a truly hauntingly beautiful place for sure. I've been waiting for you guys to hunt here!
shane accidentally kicking the laser grid and the footage being captured is a perfect shaniac moment, AND the jacket being pulled is a perfect boogara moment. unfortunately this results in a net neutral outcome, but man that pull is truly convincing. the way ryan was standing and the way his arm moved definitely don’t account for the jacket being jerked so quickly.
people are saying that it was just the belt coming loose from the jacket zipper or something, but the second time ryan was not moving at all and it happened suddenly.
I am SO sad that you guys were 30 MINUTES away from my house and I had no idea😢 this was a great episode!! You guys are my favorite. When my stepdad was a kid his dad used to work there doing maintenance and there was a woman patient that would walk the fence screaming “HAM & EGGS! GIVE ME HAM & EGGS!” He’s always remembered it for some reason
Shane saying he'd run towards a human figure in an abandoned location is a damn lie lol. He'd be worried it was an actual human and that's more terrifying than a ghost.
@@tree3142most electric/battery kids toys have a “stand by” mode, it senses inactivity and it makes a noise to attract the child back to it, my daughters piano toy goes off like that if she’s not kicking it for a while
It's the zipper getting caught on the closing flaps of his gear. The utility belt needs to be shifted further back to avoid this happening in the future.
@@Lowekinder lol I actually think if you slow the playback down you can see where the friction gives on the first instance. The second is harder to tell as there isn't much movement but the zipper is on the flap and it wouldn't take much jacket movement at all for it to wiggle the way it did
The slow transformation of Ryan into a fearless ghost hunter, and Shane becoming more timid and hesitant is psychologically FASCINATING. I don't care if it's scripted or not, it's brilliant, in all connotations of the word.
Shane isn't more timid...he just doesn't care anymore. He's along for the ride because its a popular show, but he seriously doesn't care because....ghosts aren't real, and he's been to over a hundred haunted locations and seen nothing that would prove him wrong, or even cast doubt. Not going to bother touching the "Ryan is fearless" comment a literal episode after the Haunted Hill House solo. It feels like you've been watching two different Ryans/Shanes than I have.

For the debrief: So I was curious, especially @ Ryan, is it less terrifying when you're inside a place together, since you also get to joke around a lot? Like, does it hit how terrifying it feels inside right away, or does it only truly hit when you're on a solo investigation?
Aight gotta admit again Shane going “OH FUCK” when the stuff happening starts connecting and the door that the grid was pointing at matched with the ovilus is pretty interesting especially since everything was on camera and recorded and it was just Shane spooking himself.
I've mentioned this in a couple debriefs but sometimes I like to just let moments breathe a little bit because it freaks Ryan's ass out a little bit more if I don't immediately state the facts (ie: that nothing we're observing is paranormal and that ghost hunting as a whole is a pseudoscience perpetuated by people with a very tenuous grasp on the very concept of science itself but that is neither HERE nor THERE.) -Shane

While it's still funny to know Shane did kick the grid without realizing it, part of me likes to think the ghost was telling them the grid was moved to be like "hey, you ruined your setup. I'm trying to help you here. It's pointing to cell five instead of down the hall"
Exactly! It was both not evidence and evidence that part. The spirits were being helpful.
Spirits are famously chilling and pointing out things casually.

Damn, I thought the replay was of Shane stepping over it/near it, but was showing us that he had not kicked it

We no need mention the streaming thing ever again lol.
@Gdub33 too true 😅
I like that Shane's idea of a child's voice is just his voice but slightly higher and British for some reason.
I guess he was thinking of Stevie griffin lol
I thought the same thing😂😂 Are all children British?
Or maybe Shane had a British accent as a child?
He's not wrong, all children start out British and but lose their accents by age 2
It was like Michael Caine and Peppa Pig combined
His lil child's voice reminded me of the "Berries and Cream" boy😭

@watcher For #Debrief #debrief : ❤
HEY GHOUL BOYS! I HAVE SOME SUGGESTIONS!
My Ideas for more "clinical/scientific" methods of investigating:
I believe the only way to truly determine that your reactions to locations (senses, feelings etc) and whatever "evidence" you come up with are really due to paranormal activity is to do some controlled testing.
I'm no scientist by any means but here's my suggestions to have a more clinical (in my opinion) approach to these paranormal investigations:
Have the crew take you to nine different locations and film in groups of three (per season).
The staff could do:
Group A: Haunted, Not Haunted, Not Haunted.
Speaking of Ontario Canada here's some potential filming locations in Ontario Canada:
The Old Kingston Penitentiary, Fort Henry, Bolt Castle etc. I'm sure there's many more.
I’m completely distracted by Ryan’s hair and shirt resembling my Mum in the 80’s 😂

@@Georgio29you can’t deny there’s movement. What caused the movement is up for question
@@Georgio29 so you don't think it moved?
@@ppogepenne2199 Yup, you can clearly see the pouch get pulled from the top, idk how Ryan would be able to do that from the position he's in, and his jacket suddenly being pushed could just be it got caught on the button of the pouch.
the walkie thalkie thing just looked like it got caught in one of the zippers teeth BUT the jacket 100% looked like it was pulled outward which.... how does that work???
The strap from his belt was getting caught on the zipper…
Hard to say what the movement was initially, but when you can easily debunk it when the camera was up close, I think it’s fair to assume a similarly logical cause before too. With the way he was holding his arms, the jacket was just getting caught on equipment he’s not used to wearing with the jacket.
I'm here for Ryan's 70's hair era. He is GLOWING. I need the routine asap.
😂 I spent 20 mins laughing cause Im picturing a ghost getting mad cause Shane kicked the wizard box casting stars.
All the talk of the belt but isn't that one a little weird. He kicked it to point at 5 on accident. Then the box says 5 not long after. I dunno how many numbers and stuff it spews that they don't show. But that's quite the coincidence

The floor where Ryan’s belt was grabbed is known for activity of people getting their keys grabbed out of thier hands/pockets which makes this even more compelling!

Shane kicked the grid and a ghost promtly notified you that them squares interrupted their peace in cell number 5. Then you disturbed a child's 'quiet time.' Then had your belt jiggled, twice. @@dephtons yeah thats what i thought, it seems like had he kicked it it wouldve been flipped the other direction, facing the doorway rather than the cell. its kind of hard to tell
@@dephtons They replay the moment it got kicked and you can see it swivel into cell number 5.
Love the toy going off on it's own and Ryan just kinda goin "weird -_-" as if he didn't start off this career screaming over a flashlight.
ryan slowly losing it while wiggling on the floor like a worm at the creeper hall was SO funny to me for some reason 😂😂😂
I'm waiting for the time a ghost finally comes out and does something undeniably blatant, and Shane goes "I guess they are real." while Ryan goes "Alright, who staged this?"
The first person cam of Ryan running at the end made me feel like I was in a video game I love the first person cams. Also giant Shane hugging Ryan at the end was very cute.
around 1:12:50 the boo buddy saying "do you know what time it is?" right as ryans timer went off was *Chefs kiss*
So proud of the Allegheny Asylum for coming out 🙏

I can'tt understand how Shane is SO unbothered. I mean come on you are alone in a "haunted" asylum hugging a creepy dollman that looks like it has a skin mask. I need this calmness in my life
Lydia, you basically answer it with "haunted". He is unbothered because none of it is real. ωραίο όνομα.
Yeaaaah he definitely kicked it I see it now
imagining if one of these solo investigations ryan just pranks everyone and goes quiet and doesn't come out/hide somewhere, to see how SCARED shane would be then along with the staff 😭😭
1:12:51
Why is no one talking about boo buddy asking “do you know what time it is?” and ryan’s timer going off at the same time….that shi crazy.
RIGHT. such a creepy coincidence
For the debrief Q/A: Do either of you have any personal rituals or superstitions you do before going into haunted places?
P.S. You guys are the only ghost hunters I’ll watch anymore, thank you for being honest at every location you investigate. You have earned the trust of many!
that belt/jacket grab is crazy - i was looking at ryan's arm to be sure and there are signs he did not move it.

@@Georgio29 what lmao
@@Georgio29 gawd damn
There's literally no way for him to move the pouch in the way it movved from his position leaning back like that. The pouch was being jiggled and pulled from the top, that shit was wild.
Ghosts aren’t real sorry. Argue with yourself.
about halfway through the ep i started think "this place is so big that if ryan died then not only would it probably take 30-40 minutes to realize, but also probably another 30-40 minutes to find him"
Then he’ll join the other ghost….or maybe haunt Shane to prove ghost exist 😂
For the debrief: When Shane is on the fourth floor in his solo and we turn to the static cam to hear the knock, right after Shane stops talking you can hear what sounds like someone breathing out.
4:20 that creeper animation is both really cool and really scary. also its on the 4:20 mark so thats a bonus
Hell ya dude -Shane
Such a diverse episode ❤ The trans building, gay couple, “fighting” women, and too straight representation makes my heart warm 😩
Forget the sponsor… THIS comment should be pinned.
10:26 we got gay ghosts saying Ryan and Shane were too straight as well. Diversity win!
We got babadook, we got mothman, and now we have the trans Allegany lunatic asylum! Which honestly makes sense, considering homosexuality was a crime and considered "sexual deviancy", as well as mental illness according to the dsm. The place is probably full of our queer elders' ghosts
If i was a ghost and i saw a grown man wiggling and laughing like that i would NOT appear 1:07:35
I lost it at "spaghetti" and "spicy"
I just imagined some Italian ghost running around with a bowl of spaghetti saying "boooo!" but with an accent.
"Mama mia the spaghett isa bit spicy!" Or maybe it's some anglosaxon mf thinking spaghetti is too spicy for his taste, and that he prefers clam chowder or something
A good arrabbiata pasta is pretty delicious. They got good taste!
That sounds like a mini boss in a Luigi's Haunted Mansion game 😂
I guess you could call that a Gabaghoul.
This place is up there with the Waverly Hills Sanatorium in terms of the creepiness and eerie factor. Also hey, Spaghetti ghost made another comeback! Only apple tater is left
put some respect on Apple Tater’s name!!!
Oh for some reason that’s what I thought this was
Shane just repeatedly and increasingly more passionately saying cigarettes was the best part of this video Lolol
@@alexanderbrown8921very good explanation, if only the people who thought that randonautica was haunted knew this
Ghost told him to fix the grid he kicked.
I mean even Shane genuinely believed it for a bit.
Fun Fact , believe it or not this place only closed in 1994! The first year my father became a cop he actually transported patients down there. This video does not truly show how absolutely MASSIVE the asylum truly is, a truly hauntingly beautiful place for sure. I've been waiting for you guys to hunt here!
something messing with Ryan’s belt has to be the most insane piece of evidence you guys captured
I was audibly shocked
As a ghost I would be so confused by some of Ryan’s instructions lol
shane accidentally kicking the laser grid and the footage being captured is a perfect shaniac moment, AND the jacket being pulled is a perfect boogara moment. unfortunately this results in a net neutral outcome, but man that pull is truly convincing. the way ryan was standing and the way his arm moved definitely don’t account for the jacket being jerked so quickly.
people are saying that it was just the belt coming loose from the jacket zipper or something, but the second time ryan was not moving at all and it happened suddenly.
He'd be worried it was an actual human and that's more terrifying than a ghost.
for the toy activating at 19:59 , a lot of kids toys make sounds when they are played with and are left inactive for a bit
Like stick drift?
@@tree3142lol
@@tree3142most electric/battery kids toys have a “stand by” mode, it senses inactivity and it makes a noise to attract the child back to it, my daughters piano toy goes off like that if she’s not kicking it for a while
Ryan pointed that out but apparently there was a huge delay, but that could just be battery in the toy type of issue!
I really don’t know what I’d do without this delightful duo in the paranormal side of the tubes. Just two majestic ghost hunters 😂😂
I can already hear the slander of Shane in the future debrief for kicking the laser grid
😂
47:58 Ryan's psychotic giggling had me in tears AND THE WALK I CAN'T 😭
The moment Shane turned off his light at 56:06, an ad about batteries and how they bring light turned up.
17:02 the thought of boo buddy just walking around and being sentient makes me roll around.
The belt jiggle is crazy!!! That’s super compelling evidence, and hard to say that much movement could be a cross breeze or an accident
It's the zipper getting caught on the closing flaps of his gear. The utility belt needs to be shifted further back to avoid this happening in the future.
@@GreedRunsall Doesn't seem likely to me - but WAY more likely than a ghost
@@Lowekinder lol I actually think if you slow the playback down you can see where the friction gives on the first instance. The second is harder to tell as there isn't much movement but the zipper is on the flap and it wouldn't take much jacket movement at all for it to wiggle the way it did
I love it when Ryan keeps talking and Shane is like "Shut up", like let the ghost do their jobs 😂😂😂
If I were a ghost, I would stay quiet just so I could watch Ryan and Shane. I would have the best time of my un-life
Shane yelling Yu-gi-oh was just comedy
37:49 the background music is so nostalgic back in the buzzfeed unsolved days! Been following you guys since 2020! 😍

The staff could do:
Group A: Haunted, Not Haunted, Not Haunted.
Speaking of Ontario Canada here's some potential filming locations in Ontario Canada:
The Old Kingston Penitentiary, Fort Henry, Bolt Castle etc. I'm sure there's many more.
When you die, IF you turned in to a Ghost, what would be the first thing you do?
shane how would your life style change if you actually had a solid experience with a ghost?
For the debrief: So I was curious, especially @ Ryan, is it less terrifying when you're inside a place together, since you also get to joke around a lot? Like, does it hit how terrifying it feels inside right away, or does it only truly hit when you're on a solo investigation?
Since you've covered this and also Mothman, any chance you'll round out the trifecta with a trip to the Moundsville Penitentiary?
“I guess it will remain - Shane ……. Wrong show - Ryan” 😂 I love that!!!
I was feeling pretty down after taking my calc test but seeing this video in my home page just made my day
Never let math make you feel bad. -Shane
(slang for calculus)
@@watcher Respect 😂 I’m a literal scientist and I’m always amused by that stuff. Keep it up!
@@watcherbut as u know, the paranormal goes beyond science
@@outcastpov9366 I like to think of it as a part of natural science that we just don't understand very well yet, like dark matter and the internal mechanics of black holes.
