I’m a psych RN, and often I have told clients: If you don’t like what you’re getting, stop doing what you’re doing to get it. Seems simple, but it seems to be hard for lots of people to grasp.
He boldly said in open court, "I don't want to jump through your hoops." That tells you all you need to know. He's not going to follow any rules laid down by anyone. The judge is right, he has no self-control and has out-of-control anger issues.
The man who was spam-calling his ex from jail is a perfect example of why I hate today's psychology. The experts are so afraid to blame the people in the room so there's little accountability, and manipulative people use these classes to learn what to say instead of learning what to do.
Letting this guy out is a bad idea. He's still in blame mode about all of his past, including his crappy childhood. He still blames the women he violently abused. In a better world, he would have gotten psychiatric treatment and trauma therapy in jail, so he could process his history and reclaim responsibility for his life. I wonder where the child is... hopefully, not with his crappy mother.
Excessive tint is a major threat to law enforcement. Many officers have been executed because they could not see their murderer and weapon through the windows. Also, if there is a traffic incident or traffic fatality, excessive tint hinders witnesses from identifying who was actually driving.
This is a situation where I tend to say "tough". I have a right to privacy in my vehicle. It's my property. You can look at the outside of it all you want. I have turn signals and horns and headlights and brake lights, and that's all I need to perform all the communication with other drivers that I need. If you want to make it a rule that every car has to have a megaphone on them so we can all call each other jackasses, you make that law. Otherwise sod off. The cops are in danger for harassing drivers on the road? Good. Make them think twice about approaching. The job of the police is not to be safe, it is to keep us safe. And because we're innocent until proven guilty, that includes the suspect in the car. If they have tinted windows, and the cops can't see inside to know if it's safe to approach, have them not approach. They can take shelter behind their squad cars and order the driver out and to come over somewhere else.

challenges to jurisdiction are made by special appearance, as a general appearance concedes jurisdiction. this makes sense in a lot on situations (for example, defendant never served) but not in this sovZit BS.
regarding tint on car windows- there are numerous social media videos, showing people pointing guns at cops talking to the driver of traffic stop. The cop never knew....

I worked in a prison in California years ago, in order to call someone, an inmate had to call collect using a service that, auto-generated, told the recipient that the call was from an inmate and would the recipient accept the toll charges. If the recipient did not want to accept the call, they either said No, or just hung up. If this is still true, why is she talking to the inmate?

I’ve had limo tint on my car in New Orleans for the whole 12 years I’ve had my car and I’ve never been pulled over for it. It helps me cause I’m sensitive to the sun though. And also with all the carjackings here I don’t want anyone being able to see that I’m a single female in the car
