      The same was true for Sacred Tears needed to upgrade the amount of health/mana recovery provided by the flask.
      Yes, there are only exactly 50 Shadetree Fragments. Even before FromSoft adjusted the upgrade curve, however, you never needed ALL of them. The difference between a 2x damage multiplier and a 1.9x multiplier just isn't that extreme.
      Furthermore, acquired blessings carry over into NG+, so even if a player can't find them all on the first visit to the DLC, they can still finish maxing out all the upgrades easily enough on repeat trips.

    The biggest issue I have with Eldon Rings specifically is the damage problem I can get over the fact that bosses tend to overuse their special abilities and that every enemy is ferociously agile bloodborne enemy on crack, but I have played 400 plus hours of the base game and have completed 25% of the DLC and I'm still currently stuck on malekith the Black Blade after I have already completed the game once.
    I can deal with aggressive enemies and wacky movesets as long as there's room to experiment and play my own way.
    The other games are so well received by almost everyone because they were fair and difficult at the same time but they also allowed a lot more freedom and expression from players with their builds and variety.
    Elden ring has those builds and I have tried to do PVE with some of them but every time I try different setup the game punishes me for doing so. That damage is way too high in my opinion to allow full freedom of expression without having some form of cheese in your build.
    I want to love Elden ring and I do like it as a game but not as a Souls game. If it wasn't a Souls game and didn't trust so hard to punish the player for one mistake all the time I could easily say this game is a masterpiece.
    You never realized just how balanced the other games in their lineup are until you have played 400 hours of Elden ring.
    If they were to tweak the damage down just a little bit I would be fine with everything else- the overly aggressive enemies, bosses over using the special abilities, and the ridiculously punishing atmosphere of the game.
    But there are so many flaws in Elden ring that almost no one points out that make this game just way too stressful for anyone who is not a from soft fan, which I am from soft fan and even I think it's a little bit too much.
    Elden ring is the only game I've ever over leveled in just to complete it once and I'm going for a second completion because I want to see if I can play my own build without cheesing the game and let me tell you that's one task that is well worth not trying.
    Also for anyone wondering if my complaints are invalid, the fact that several of the bosses have been nerfed and there are so many cheese guides on how to kill so many bosses kind of proves my point at this game is a little bit too extreme.
    However there is a 20 hour long video from a destiny TH-camr that showcases how to kill every single boss in every single Souls game. I highly suggest watching that just so you can see what exactly you need to do to beat some of the Elden ring bosses just learn how to avoid some of their most toxic attacks😊

      I’d would prefer if Fromsoft stopping trying to make every Souls game like Bloodborne, I’m so sick of that game poisoning the series. It’s the Resident Evil 4 of the Souls Series and I don’t mean that in a good way.

    • @SoloGamer42
      @SoloGamer42 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@paladinslash4721 the problem is they perfected the fast combat in bloodborne, it was so refined that it pretty much made that game perfect. Bloodborne how to development time longer than most of the other Souls that production even started during Dark Souls 2 development.
      So they had time to perfect how fast enemies needed to be in conjunction with how fast you were going to be, I didn't mind fast enemies in bloodborne because I was as fast as them or faster than them by default. And typically the fast enemies didn't do loads of damage, it was the big hulking enemies that did the biggest amounts of damage so I could plan ahead when fighting large groups of what enemies should I prioritize.
      That in conjunction with the limited amount of weapons meaning that it was a lot easier to learn a weapon and how to punish it with the game also being relatively short to complete with an average playthrough of about 23 hours to 100% or about 4 to 5 hours if you're just doing story.
      But yeah bloodborne was perfect but infusing that Perfection with games that were mostly slower-paced methodical adventure games really killed the Dark Souls franchise. Dark Souls 3 was the beginning where the slow methodical pacing of the Dark Souls games ended and every from self game now has to be this really fast and aggressive system.
      Which I don't mind if it's done right but while I adore Elden Rings combat at this point I still cannot get over how much damage enemies do versus how fast they are. Enemies are both tanky and aggressive while also hitting like a truck for almost every single enemy in Elden ring. Even some of the giant enemies are super fast.
      But yeah I wish they would make another slow placed methodical Adventure game like Dark Souls 1 or Demon's Souls to freshen up the soulsborne series again. Elden ring pushed the difficulty a bit too hard at some points and the difficulty is the reason I don't new game plus the game because there's certain areas and certain bosses that just were not fun to fight regardless if they were designed well or not. Elden ring is a great game but a poor souls game.

      Oh, you're right about much of that.
      The best enemies are one's that match the description you gave.
      Compromise is how you build _good_ bosses.
      Boss has to be fast to fit his lore?
      He cannot either;
      A) be tanky
      Or
      B) hit hard
      It should be a triangle where you pick only two.
      The best fitting of this is embodied by many base game bosses.
      One being maliketh.
      He's fast and he _can_ hit hard, but he has no health(for a boss).
      There's multitudes like this in the base game, it's why their so good.
      With the exception of the gimmick bosses(looking at you rykard and malenia) you can beat any boss in the base game without much change in a build a long as you account for vigor so you can take a hit.
      Unfortunately most bosses in the dlc have no comprehension of compromise and have a massive health pool on top of hitting multiple times AND having tons of damage, unless you interact with a system that isn't built so you can find them easily or are told where they are beforehand.
      There's so much more i can list, but I'm not going to as the commenter's in this section know what criticism is, and I've outlined my base gripes.
      Gripe is boiled down to;
      Game DLC has bloodborne bosses without the bloodborne character mechanics.

    • @SoloGamer42

      @@kairu_aname yeah exactly, but at this time I've already put in over 500 hours in the base game and 100% of it. Finally got my Platinum a week ago and started a new run after I did everything in the DLC that I wanted to do. And I have to say the DLC was my favorite part about Elden ring, another reason to go exploring aside from getting good equipment and fighting unique bosses was the fragments and after you get a certain amount of fragments the bosses become very balanced and really fun. The only one I found to be a little bit Overkill was the final boss but again you can Parry him quite easily.
      Even the so-called Commander Gauss was a cakewalk for me and I'm surprised people have trouble with him because their shields in the game. I would say your first playthrough is going to be hell and quite frankly at times is not fun but New Game Plus has been a blast for me after completing the game due to how overpowered I am. I'm sad that I played for so long on one save file without ever going on to New Game Plus unless I started a new save. Maybe my opinions will change once I get to the fire giant again but it is nice to be able to finally kill things again after 100% in the game. Because enemies aren't annihilating me in one hit anymore I'm more willing to experiment with bosses and learn their attack patterns instead of relying on cheese anymore. I do suggest anyone play the DLC and I also suggest don't worry about how you complete the game your first run because I still think that first playthrough is abysmal. If anyone enjoys a strategy let them enjoy it especially in Elden ring.
      I kind of have a love-hate relationship with this game. And malekith Black Blade definitely is the best hard-hitting boss because he doesn't have HP at all. I was just falling for that gimmick trap of using the Blasphemous claw instead I should have just been dodging and not rely on that gimmick. A lot of the DLC bosses feel this way where when you actually get enough fragments you realize just how balanced they are with the only exception being Messmer and everyone's favorite redhead. But a lot of the DLC bosses don't have nearly as many gimmicks as the main bosses do. And none of them have been as quite as hard as dealing with Melania. Overall I can't really say Elden ring is for everyone and it definitely isn't the best souls to start out with. Just a lot of its design flaws are really hard to ignore regardless if it is a good game or not.

      Yeah honestly I think Fromsoft messed up somewhere with the NPC quests and this is what we got. Hear me out now.
      The Radahn fight is very similar to a MMO fight. And we get two DPS for it. Which is why the Poke Build is so great. You need a Tank for the fight.
      Now I think originally finishing character quests would recruit people away from Leda and onto your team. Instead of ending up with just Thollier and Ansbach you could have ended up with Freya and Moore and Hornsent too. This would make it a nice parallel to the Radahn festival in Caelid too. Needing a whole ass army to take down Radahn.
      Well, Freya and Moore could both fill that Tank role for you. But either that made the fight too easy for Fromsofts likeing, or they didn't have time to finish the quests the way they wanted or whatever.
      That's my take. That's why poke builds are so great. The fight was meant to have a Tank in it. So making us the Tank is the best way to fight it.

      Honestly? Just dodge forward-left for all his attacks except for meteors and gravity pull. Works for both phase 1 and 2. For meteors, phase 1 you can sprint left or right, then jump just before the meteors get to you, for phase 2, run away from him to avoid the multi-hit follow-up, just jump to the right just before the meteors hit, then dodge backwards to avoid his phantoms, then dodge forward-left twice to avoid his main attack.
      Gravity pull doesn't have a follow-up if you can avoid getting pulled, whether that is phase 1 or 2.

    Revisiting this great video after finishing the dlc for the third time (and soloing prime pervert radahn without eny cheeses or exploits in any of my attempts) and I still agree with you that the difficulty is too much and poorly executed in general, it feels like even if you are properly levelling your scooby fragments the game is constantly begging you to use meta strats/builds like jumping attack powerstanced bleed infused twinblades and shit like that due to how much damage, health and combo chains bosses (and even some regular enemies) in general have.
    And my friends' experiences werent much better than mine either, half of them completely changed builds to better deal with the dlc (and Im not talking abt just switching gear and optimally allocating attributes, one of my friends who was playing as a sorcerer completely gave up and switched to an STR unga bunga build cause according to him he didnt have time to cast spells and everything got instant gap closers or giant reaches that made magic's range advantage useless). Another half of my friends just completely list interest in the game and stopped playing, one of them got so fucking pissed that after trying to beat radahn with me on co op for half an hour he just gave up, closed the game, uninstalled and started playing fucking warthunder of all things. The dlc was so unfun to him that he uninstalled to go play warthunder, and this motherfucker was my friend who had the patience to grind for the ds3's proof of a concord kept by killing silver knights for days to get all achievements.
    So yeah, despite me actually liking the dlc a little (although being overall disappointed by it) I gotta say from fucked up this time.
    And before any "get gud" piece of shit start dogpilling on me and wanting to invalidate my arguments for sayin that I "lack skill": again I soloed prime radahn with 3 of my characters, one dex+arc level 150 build with a bleed milady and a buckler to parry; one pure faith level 150 caster build with a sacred milady and a generic medium shield to parry too (I didnt use spells with this character despite being a caster cause guess what? If you are solo you dont have good openings to SAFELY cast spells on radahn that arent fast like catchflame and he is always on top of you so no ranged pokes either); and lastly a quality build at also level 150 with a godskin sticher and a buckler on NG+. I didnt use any ash of war on my attempts to not put away my parrying shield. Parry makes radahn more bearable on the second phase but it still is a garbage designed boss

    The Scadutree system has such an easy fix, either they can:
    A) Decrease the amount of fragments needed for max level from the amount available currently (say requiring 35 out of 50 for level 20 instead of all 50)
    B) Patching in extra fragments to account for players not being required to find all of the fragments (adding an extra 15 would allow for much needed leeway)
    As it stands if you play without a guide it forces you to waste time needlessly exploring just to withstand the bosses, when in reality most of the game's locations are barren without any fragments to find
    That, or just use a guide to save yourself the time; Which if you have to use a guide just to find a required item for withstanding the DLC that in itself is a problem with the game not teaching the player properly

      Bear in mind these percentages are based on the base damage, the comparative increase is even less than that cause you're already taking slightly over half and dealing slightly less than double, at scadu level 14
      If you can miss 18 whole fragments and still have stats like those, I think its fine to have to be a bit dedicated for the glamour of scadu 20

    I gotta say I disagree with your take on Rellana and her "never-ending" combo's. She has lots of pauses and her moveset, while fast, isn't hard to memorize or dodge with practice.
    I agree that the first boss, The Lion Dancer...thing, was annoying. His moves were hard to figure out for me.
    I haven't really understood the discourse against the DLC. It's difficult but not anymore difficult than other FromSoft DLC's...
    But, to be fair, I may have beaten all the FromSoft games, but I'm terrible at them. Practically every boss feels impossible to me for a long time so maybe that's why I didn't get bothered by the difficulty. I'm used to failing 20+ times to most bosses already xD

    Yeah subbed and I 100% think your right about the scadutree fragments, I'm not sure why they felt they were necessary at all, my guess is too many hardcore fans overleveled themselves and complained ahead of time so they added this in. In my opinion From Soft games are always as hard as you want to make them, so for elden ring I typically limit my builds to roughly lvl125 but if someone wants to go higher that's their choice. I don't think we needed a special system because some players decided to go up to like level 500+ or something, that was on them, if it's too easy roll another character I don't know what to tell you.
    The new weapons, spells/incantations, gear, content and bosses should be enough of a reason to encourage exploration.

    I didn't mind a whole lot to the DLC except a few minor topics. Base game gives extras for your upgrade path, but the DLC does not, so you have to genuinely check off a list to figure out which you've gotten for full effect. Besides that, I've appreciated one boss room more than any other in the base game which is Starscourge Radahn. Giant enemies that move all over the place isn't a bad thing, but if you're fighting your camera on the map geometry to keep track of them then things are being difficult for the wrong reasons at the time. And for that the three big bosses that I never experienced this with was Romina, Putrescence Knight, and Bayle (after I make it to the middle of the arena). Messmer has no camera conflicts because his room is just open space with invisible walls. If there's just 1 policy I'd like though in general is that the boss isn't allowed to roll over in bed and reach the other side of the room. If it's shooting fish in a barrel, it's not a thrilling fight, but an inevitable demise regardless of performance.
    But let's talk about what's wrong with the real worst experience in the DLC (The rest are literally just minor, but are enough to irk many). Promised Consort Radahn. They took the hardest attack to dodge in all of Dark Souls 3, and made that every attack in the final boss fight of Elden Ring DLC. What made it work in DS3 was how more scarce it was used by Lorian. What made it not work in Elden Ring DLC is that it was EVERY ATTACK in phase 2, and it got more intricate. Then they spammed Nameless King animation check glitches at you after making you dodge for your life followed by the Lorianism and called it a day. I do think the hug was a genuine good idea though and sorta comical irony with the continued trend of hugs = bad things in Elden Ring. The lore we got from this encounter wasn't much to go off of at all, the end of the DLC didn't achieve anything besides swatting Miquella like a fly and make us like a side of people we thought were something more sinister yet. Despite this disappointment, I will say the weapons are a dope reward for the trouble to inflict upon other human beings without remorse. I do wish we got a more unique set of fashion from the last battle though instead of vibrant Radahn armor.

    I honestly thought the dlc was great, but I cannot stress enough how stupid the scadutree fragments mechanic is, I also don't really understand the obsession with enemies not giving you a single fucking second to breathe. I find that so many of the bosses in this DLC throw out way too much visual diahorea that it's almost impossible to even see whats hitting you at most times. I actually felt like I could breathe for once while fighting Messmer, hell, I could even see his damn weapon, see what I was dodging. I don't even wanna comment on the Radahn fight, he's just over agressive, it borderlines unlearnable and it's just not enjoyable.

He's nothing like any other bosses and just simply invalidates many builds and play styles. I appreciated him though since Gael seemed pretty underwhelming. If she goes up, she gets an ice pot to the face and i use fire attuned weapons to clear the frostbite.
      I do this because on console i can't;
      Recognize the attack in time,

    Always think its interesting when people don't like scadu fragments. They are just giving you more effective health and damage which is the same thing levels do. They could have exchanged the fragments with a free 10 levels or something and it would have basically been the same. (or weapon upgrades to +11 or anything really. If anything a smithing stone works better as a comparison because the +10s are harder to come by and spread through out the world) It gives similar vibes as someone reaching margit with in the first hour or two of the game cus the just went forward and then getting salty because they need to go explore limgrave to get levels so that the boss seems fair. If cant kill boss then go explore is the entire vibe of elden ring. Glad you enjoyed the dlc though.

  • @EmeralBookwise
    @EmeralBookwise 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    DLC exclusive weapon upgrade stones is sorta exactly what Scadutree fragments are, only better. Unlike with weapons, where anytime you find a new one you can't even use it right away without going back to the blacksmith and need up to 49 different stones of varying grades, Scadutree blessings are innate to the character.
    As for finding them, all I can say is I found 49/50 on my own without a guide, but then again exploration is my favorite thing about this game.
    Saying that souls has "never" been about upgrade materials, is literally false. When every previous game has had weapon upgrades, and DS1&2 even had armor upgrades as well making them even more directly comparable Scadutree Fragments. The only difference is that now those upgrades are discovered through exploration in fixed locations rather than as random enemy drops that might require additional grinding if a player isn't lucky... or heaven forbid, they want to switch to a new weapon and have to start the entire upgrade process all over again.
    ...
    All that said, I do otherwise agree that I prefer the slower more methodical pace of previous games, whereas Elden Ring, and to a lesser extent even DS3, feel a bit too fast, with too many enemies that throw out wild flailing combo. It feels less like a back forth, dodge and counter punish, but more like dodge, dodge, dodge, maybe sneak in a hit of your own if the boss feels like letting you, and then back to dodge, dodge, dodge.
    Admittedly, this kind of hyper aggressive AI is a sort of a carryover that started even further back in Bloodborne, but that game also gave the player similarly fast mobility to match, not to mention the entire rally system which helped to reward aggressive play while offsetting the need to chug a flask after every trade.

    • @KinzieK
      @KinzieK  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      While I can agree that scadutree blessings are similar to upgrade materials for weapons, the application is different in my opinion. Weapons being able to be upgraded is more of something that I enjoy than the direct stats of my characters being affected because you get so many levels in the dlc anyway. I feel like adding another layer onto that established system is unnecessary and would fit better as weapon upgrades, but like I said, that's just me. It's purely hypothetical anyway lol.
      When I say that isn't what souls is about in my opinion, I don't mean upgrade materials, I mean having to overcome artificial limits on your character. Upgrading weapons and building from level 1 is typical, but an inherent nerf on a pre-established character just isn't what I expected. I expanded on this a tad more when I go over the other games. The DLC for the other games didn't need artificial limits (in DS2 this was limited to one boss you don't have to fight but that's whatever), you just went in and your character was your character. If that makes more sense, I'm glad, but I don't aim to get you to agree or anything, I'm just trying to get my point across more clearly.
      *I agree on your last halves of your comment. Ty so much for watching, sincerely.

    • @EmeralBookwise
      @EmeralBookwise 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@KinzieK: It's really no more "artificial" than weapon/armor upgrades are in the first place. If it feels that way, it's probably just because it's a new system you aren't used to.
      You are right that none of the previous game's DLCs featured an upgrade system separate from the main game, but they were all also more linear games, especially in their DLCs.
      Because it is an open world exploration game, however, Elden Ring is a very different experience. The devs have been clear that the reason they implemented the Scadutree system was because they wanted the DLC to reflect that same ability, where if a player was struggling against a boss, they could ride off in a different direction to find new stuff and come back stronger later.

    • @KinzieK
      @KinzieK  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I'll just chalk it up to the system not being for me then, because I don't think frags are hard to get used to or anything, I just think they aren't needed at all and creates a level of difficulty that is, no matter how small or large, not 100% based on your character until you find some, not all, but some frags. Like if I had to compare my feeling to anything, I say it's like handicap sliders in fighting games, and you're just pushing the slider more and more back to neutral with each blessing. And I understand the intention by fromsoft, but I genuinely think it is unnecessary, and I believe I mentioned this at length in the video as well.
      I still think weapon and armor upgrades are more intentional than you're saying, but I can just agree to disagree on that. I do appreciate this back and forth though, I see your points and I don't really even disagree on most of it, but some of this is just opinions at the end of the day.
      Also, if you liked the video, then that is mostly what I care about tbh 😂

    • @EmeralBookwise
      @EmeralBookwise 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@KinzieK: Admittedly another thing that might color our divergent experiences with the Sacdutree system is that I played the DLC in base NG, whereas if the twin Maliketh Black Blades at the start of the video were anything to go by, you seemed to be in at least NG+ if not NG+2. That's going to make a huge difference on how much heath and damage output the enemies have even before factoring in blessings.
      Anyway, I appreciate the back and forth as well.
      I try never to make conversation on the internet be about wining/losing, proving who is right/wrong, just an open exchange of ideas. Even if no one walks away with their opinion changed, we can maybe all at least be more understanding of other people's differing opinions.

    And for godsake Fromsoft get your damage values under control. 80%+ damage reduction should do more than be able to take two hits before chugging.

    The thing I hate about the DLC is how many bosses are basically overpowered Elden Beast fights with no Torrent.
    I can count 3 bosses that don’t involve you spending 75% of the fight running across the arena to score one hit before the boss sneezes out 5 different field wide 2 shot aoes while jumping to the other end of the screen AGAIN AND AGAIN!
    Literally only:
    Midra
    Rellana
    Consort Radahn
    They are the only ones who don’t spend the entire fight in the air or jumping clear accross the arena over and over.
    Maddening!🤯
    The Leda fight… you can have Ansbach and Thiolillieh(spelling) help to even the odds of you finished their questlines.

I went in with a big ass hammer main hand and godfreys axe on the off hand, tried to exploit tf out of her poise and she was p much the most fun i had with a boss in elden ring. You can cash in so many small windows to attack her it's crazy. And a lot of her attacks that seem impossible to dodge are very viable with proper timing and a lil bit of dedication. Genuinely a very fun boss fight imo. Every time I got damaged it was either me gambling a trade to keep her poise health on the decline or because i was being dumb. Never had a situation where it felt unfair or unforgiving. She went down in less than an hour. • @johnoneill7955
    @johnoneill7955 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    the exploring required to find many of the fragments is no different than the exploring for items you do in the base game and often (at least for me) lead me to a side area I may have missed. you in no way need max scadutree fragments to beat the dlc meaning it’s not the end of the world if you don’t find them all or even a decent portion (I beat it the first time at +15 when the max is 20 meaning I missed quite a few). Fromsoft even came out and said they did this so people weren’t walking into the dlc being absurdly OP. A lot of people’s problems stem from the fact that they absolutely REFUSE to adapt beyond learning a move set, Elden ring offers Soooooooooo many different pieces of gear to help supplement every possible play-style, I do not want to hear anyone say “oh I can’t deal damage because they move too fast, they create too much space, there’s no windows to attack” I guarantee that there are things you can use that fit within the bounds of your build that will alleviate some of those issues, the issue is being UNWILLING to interact with those pieces of gear and I’m not talking about spirit summons at all. You as a player are given more than enough upgrade and crafting materials in the game, you can have multiple fully upgraded weapons along with a full suite of throwables (which are usually wildly unnecessary). People don’t realize that it’s not the game failing them, it gives everyone a ridiculous amount of resources to use. They are failing themselves by refusing to interact with them, and once again I’m not talking about spirit summons (although they definitely fit into this convo quite well). When your job tells you “hey what you’re doing right now isn’t working” do you just ignore them and keep working the same way you always have? No. When your partner comes to you and says something isn’t working in your relationship do you keep doing all the same things? No. Bashing your head against a wall because you’re unwilling to change is not admirable, it’s idiotic and a lot of yall are gonna be butthurt that I said that.

      I will say that while everything you're saying about scadutree is true to an extent, i think it's completely unnecessary. I've told someone else this, but theoretically we all go into the dlc with whatever insane shit we have, right? I switched my entire build to improve my experience, and I think that's enough. The dlc was challenging already, scadutree only made that worse. The scad nerf isn't making me dodge differently or anything, it's just a straight nerf. Plenty of people told me my build and talismans were shit. I think that is all part of the experience of getting better and improving, and that's why I show off my terrible build and the replacement of it, because that's why I play, not to recover my nerfed stats. But I do appreciate you watching. Yea, the chakram dudes ain't shit 😂

    The rest of the dlc bosses other than gaius and radahn is really good. Gaius could've been good if it weren't for his janky hitbox during his boar charge which will either one shot you or you dodge and take damage from it anyway.
    radahn on the other hand, phase 1 is manageable phase 2 on the other hand is unfair because you spend 80% of the fight flashbanged and Miquella's hair also obscures whatever attack radahn is doing this can be a problematic for me since I have bad eyesight.
    Not to mention if you looked at the hitbox visualizer from radahn then you'll know why his attacks feels off basically they "nerfed" base Radahn's hitbox and then added it to Radahn 2.0 which is really confusing? Base radahn became piss easy when he was really challenging but not really frustrating to fight when you put him side by side with the likes of melania in the base game but even then i never had issues with most of the bosses except for consort radahn.
    And no don't give me the argument "one day we'll look back on radahn and realise he's not that bad. Much like gael, manus, artorias." Yes ds3 and ds1 dlc bosses did push the limit of what you can do at the time but not to the extent of radahn. The other games made it very difficult but fun idk but gael and orphan raised my standards where they are very difficult but fun to learn. And was expecting that for the dlc at least on the final boss safe to say i will always dread the times i fight radahn in subsequent playthroughs i'll learn him gradually after several ng+ runs but wouldn't feel any satisfaction from it.
