I recently got an offer with the NHS and I've completed my employment checks. I think the next thing is CoS because it's a full-time role. I'm still yet to get any further information from them. No response yet to mails.
@@augustinemartin6286 they should be able to let you know what is delaying and what next steps are. COS takes a few weeks if you are not currently in the UK. Call them again and ask exactly what you want to know. They will clarify.
Thank you for all you do here, we truly appreciate. My question is regarding SC clearances. Since all civil jobs comes with them . Is there any chance of getting one if you have lived less than 5yrs?
Depending on the role you applied for, not all civil service role requires that. Being SC cleared is a requirement for any role that involves frequent access to documents classified as secret, or occasional supervised access to top secret files in government or defence organisations. My role is not that classified so I only had to undergo DBS checks
honestly i would give as much evidence as possible if you do finally get in. But overall - as a current fast streamer, I would not recommend it - it's so much more hype than it is worth...
Hi, I really enjoyed your video.I got a provisional offer this week and I’m in the pre employment check stage but I’m scared they might not go through as I have not lived for 5years in the Uk..it’s an apprentice role😔..do you think I might be disqualified
girl i need advice! I’m doing a Finance Apprenticeship role, and I’m currently about to do the Numerical test. how did you do it? and were the questions difficult or easy?
Thanks for this, I'm really struggling passing interviews, I really don't know what to do to improve my interview skills, have tried different methods but I just don't pass the interview stage
Interview is a skill in itself, you might be very good at a job and have all the qualifications if you're not good at interviews you will struggle, watching a lot of videos on TH-cam on the proper way to answer an interview questions helped a lot youtube.com/@CareerVidz this TH-cam channel helped me a lot
So when you say we shouldn't include anything that will show your ethnicity, does this include details in your cover letter, CV an even in the employment history? In my CV for instance, I have a lot of references to the Lagos state ministry of education cause my job at a time centered around that. Should I make things more discreet? I mean, still talk about my experience but remove traces to Lagos, Nigeria etc? I've submitted many applications and not single call back. I have really good project management experience and I've been worrying that references to ethnicity may be affecting my applications. What do you think?
Yeah, you need to take off locations, country anything at all that will show your ethnicity. The hiring manager will only get to see your application based on your previous experience except maybe they want to hire from minority group, then they can have access to more information
Hi I live in South Africa. I recently returned from the UK, having just completed a short by-fellowship with the University of Cambridge. I would love to have a civil service job. I did check some of the jobs and i noticed that some specified the Nationality requirements. Does that affect us that are outside the UK? Should we still apply or are there jobs that are open to non-european countries?
I think you can only apply within the UK, if you are a citizen of commonwealth countries, EU/EEA etc. you will be eligible for most Civil Service roles
Thanks for the eye opening information. My question is can people under student visa or their spouse( Dependant) that needs Sponsorship apply for these jobs
Thanks for the video. Can I get civil servant job in UK from Nigeria.I applied for prison job in Uk but couldn't finish my application because I was asked to fill in National insurance number.Kindly respond to my question
If you require sponsorship then you need to apply with government agencies that offer sponsorship. And check the job description it will tell you if the role qualifies for sponsorship or not
Thanks fur the response. I mean this with reference to the nationality requirements. None of the options on the list refer to people who require sponsorship. So it leaves the question of, is this job open to people who need sponsorship? On the nhs jobs website, it's usually stated but not on the civil jobs site. I hope my question is clear. 🙏🏼
Hello Faith, i created an account with civil service yesterday. But there was no option for me to write the numerical test you spoke about. I kept searching but i couldnt find it so i just started applying jobs. Will it affect the applications i have made? Since i have not written it

most government recruitment processes can be very long, I always send them a follow-up email after one week of not hearing from them.

Thanks for the eye opening information. My question is can people under student visa or their spouse( Dependant) that needs Sponsorship apply for these jobs
So Ur dependant can apply without sponsorship, Note civil service don't sponsor, so the term of employment will be marked with visa expiration
Thanks for the video. Can I get civil servant job in UK from Nigeria.I applied for prison job in Uk but couldn't finish my application because I was asked to fill in National insurance number.Kindly respond to my question
No you can't. The government are strict with recruiting from overseas, they mostly hire those in the UK
Hello Faith,
Do these civil service jobs come with Sponsorships ?
Very few do
For someone who requires sponsor ship, is the person classified as a 'national of common wealth countries who have the right to work in the UK'?
If you require sponsorship then you need to apply with government agencies that offer sponsorship. And check the job description it will tell you if the role qualifies for sponsorship or not

What qualifications does the government accept for civil service jobs in the Uk? Thanx
Well it depends on the agency, some u rili do not need much to get in
Faith please what level did you enter as?? Cos someone said we can only enter as EO
You can enter as EO even with no civil service experience but you need to scale through the interview which is a bit tougher
Thanks
How are you faith? Awhile ago you spoke about a government skill scheme/training for UK based residents. Kindly send the link. Thank you.
The scheme is closed
How long do you have to live in the Uk before you work for Local government?
3 years
3 years
@ Faith, do they sponsor visa?
Rarely, I have only seen 1 agency talk about sponsorship, so it's safe to say that civil service do not sponsor

Can I apply as apprentice from outside uk
