My last name is Lloyd on my father’s side but he left when I was young so I know next to nothing about his side of the family. I was born in raised in Philadelphia and have traced what I believe to be my original ancestors that first migrated here from Wales. Any other Lloyd’s from the East coast with any other information or questions or advice would be helpful. Really just would like to know who my family is and if they’re out there at all.
I’m calling bullshit. I’d like to see evidence that those enslaved folks came on slave ships from Africa; and I’d like to see the documents that demonstrates how the Lloyd’s acquired that property. A descendant of the “master” that sent our family to Mississippi said this: "My mother, b. San Francisco 1925, is Elisabeth Lloyd Goldsborough, and her brother was William Tilghman Goldsborough III, so I am a direct descendant of the masters of Wye House; I need to visit it. I did go to the courthouse at Canton, MS one time and pull the deed on the 1837 purchase by Edward and Elizabeth Lloyd of land there, for expansion; they were at that time breeding slaves at Wye House and then taking them down South to work in cotton.” I’m a direct descendant of the Bailey’s, and I have a few questions for Tilghman and the Lloyd descendants. .
Anna Maria Lloyd and Richard Tilghman are my 6th great grandparents.

They keep saying , the two came together..The students seem to be minimizing the brutality of slavery in their language
