This palette looks gorgeous on you! You made an excellent choice by keeping this one. Applying the pink shade wet definitely gives the look that extra bit of pop while still looking so sophisticated! 😍
I thought it turned out even better than expected. I really like this palette and am happy this is the final pick! Subscribers knew what they were doing when picking haha
Sonia, that palette really surprised me. I wasn't expecting a look as gorgeous as this, then again, no-one else I've seen has wet the shadow. That made all the difference to the pink and really stands out. I've got the Mediterranean Quad too and haven't used it wet but I'll definitely give it a go now.🇦🇺💖🕊
With the Mediterranean I actually use all 4 shades wet or dry. Truly a stunning palette. I currently own 3 chanel quads and I am very happy with the 3 I own. Mediterranean one of my favorites of 2022
@@sonia.butler Mine too. At least there was something special about that palette and despite being L/E, it certainly wasn't AU$140.00! You should do a video showing the Mediterranean Palette used wet, if you haven't already done so. The upcoming Holiday Quad looks nice but I'll wait to see the cost.💖
Despite of the fact that I stopped buying Chanel make up since the still test on animals, I think the color story of this quad is the best. I also think that the make up look you created before putting this pink shimmery shade, was perfect. Not a fan of using eyeshadows that are lighter than one's skin.
Makeup is a form of expression so it's and interesting look on makeup to only but darker colors on the eyes! I love the contrast of light and dark in palettes. Especially on a deep skin tone a bright shade can be absolute magic. Drool!
Ok I will definitely wet my brush next time I use the pink shade from this quad! I love this look on you Sonia. But I don’t think the tweeds are worth the new price tag for how little product you get in my opinion. I don’t regret getting it, I just don’t get what people find so luxurious about Chanel quads. I mean they look so tiny in a cheap plastic packaging I just don’t get it.. maybe I’m not old enough to appreciate Chanel 😆
I was buying Chanel in my early 20s but then the cost of living increased and I had moved to an area where there were no stores. I'm now 54yrs young and will buy a Chanel Quad if it interests me, ie. Mediterranean Palette. These Tweeds sold in Australia for AU$140.00 (US$95.00)! I refused to pay this price for shades I already own. With my one Viseart Paris Edit Palette, I can recreate all four of the Chanel Tweeds and more. They're fine for an occasional indulgence but Dior is much more reasonable for the amount of product you get in each Quint. I don't recall a make-up item being so hyped up as these Tweeds. I'm desperately trying to save for the Holiday releases yet due to power bills rising fast, amongst other items, Chanel can keep their palettes. You're not missing out on anything, nor am I. It's just make-up and it's not if anyone can tell what shadows are on your lids. I will buy quality but there is a limit to how much will pay. I just bought the YSL Couture Clutch Palette for AU$165.00 which is a full on face palette and much more luxurious that a Chanel Quad. There comes a time when we need to ignore the hype and simply say "no".🇦🇺💖
Hi Julie, I also think they are terrible value for money. I think someone that is a chanel "lover" will probably benefit from these the most. Since it's such an anticipated launch and color stories are so nice I felt I should at least try and review one. Originally I wanted all 4 but I opted for only getting 1 for this reason. I love this look and I will get some good use out of this palette but I agree with everything you say. This year I started enjoying the chanel and dior formulas more! Softer looks and I think I am getting older and have a different preference for every day. I invested in a ton of dior palettes. Not many chanel ones from the core line interest me, but 747, intensite and this one are in my collection and each has surprised me! I will try to be more selective if chanel keeps hiking up the price.
@@sonia.butler I really like Dior eyeshadows, to me they’re still more refined compared to Pat McGrath but they’re not 80 euros, not yet at least! And they are worth it. I’ll stick to Dior for now unless Chanel releases something truly worth the price. Thank you for this review, I think you kept a beautiful palette Sonia
@@krisushi1 you’re right, it’s just makeup. And I think my mindset has changed in the last few months due to the rising living prices here too. So yeah we are not missing out, especially when there’s so much makeup to choose from. Thank you for the insight, it was much needed!
@@JuliesNeeds me too! I will be more selective with chanel in the future. I know I shouldn't toot my own horn but I was happy I restrained myself to 1. I tend to over splurge if I like something
Beautiful eye look. This palette reminds me of dior poncho and chanel mystic eyes palette. I usually wait until the hype is over and if I still love it then I will get it for Christmas. Thanks for the review. New subscriber here
Thank you so much for subscribing. I recently purchased the poncho palette from dior. I love that one as well. I love both but I can't deny that eventhough this palette is expensive it's a dream to worm with. I loved the look and have been gravitating towards it more than Poncho. I definitely think these were hyped but this quad in particular is just really enjoyable imo.
Thanks for the demo Sonia! Mine is still on its way 🤔 hopefully tomorrow it’ll drop in my mail 🤩 off topic question: will you be picking up the new Guerlain Parure Gold Skin matte foundation? It’s 25% off at ICI Paris and I couldn’t resist so that one will also drop in tomorrow 😁 would love to hear your thoughts! Fijne zondag nog 🌷
Hi Claudia! So many goodies coming in!
Hi Sonia, I ordered the Tweed Cuivre this morning. It ended up choosing that one based on the finish and intensity. If I can't live without it, I will order this one too. Early Christmas presents... thoughts on the new ND My Palette collection? Watched lots of reviews, going to wait for a sale since it is part of her permanent collection and not limited edition.
Isn’t this palette pretty!?! I wanted Cuivre as well but I decided to keep it to 1 and I am so happy with my choice. I loved my look. I am looking into getting the holiday collection palette. I am watching so many ND reviews right now. I decided not to pick it up because it’s not my type of color story but it looks amazingly versatile. I was tempted to getting this palette but opted out last moment. I have so many mauves atm I’d rather buy something else. I got the hourglass elephant palette!
@@sonia.butler I am still debating on picking up one of those! I just don't use any other face type powders besides the Chanel Reve de Camelia, the loose Chanel powder, and the Dior light purple powders. They look so pretty though, I have to admit that I am tempted!

So stunning right! I know they are pricey but I am happy with this one. This look came together so well!
