For anybody posting here that is familiar with old Los Angeles, a question for you - there are many episode references here to “Georgia Street Receiving” Hospital or something like that... I am curious is this a hospital that used to exist in L.A. or no longer exists? Just wondering.

Looks like it was tore down in 1988, was their central emergency hospital for 70 years. www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1988-08-28-re-1456-story.html

28:38- "MR. CITIZEN" was a live TV anthology series [featuring Allyn Edwards as host] sponsored by L&M on ABC's Wednesday night schedule [8:30pm(et)] from April through July 1955. It dramatized stories of ordinary people accomplishing extraordinary events; the actual person appeared at the end of each episode to receive the week's "Mr. Citizen Award" [and most likely a carton of L&M's as well]. The episode promoted here was "The Friendly Stranger" {June 8, 1955}.

As heard on Tuesdays at 8:30pm(et). This was the final summer of original radio episodes; Jack Webb {and his sponsor, Liggett & Myers} decided to concentrate exclusively on the television show that September. Repeats of previous episodes (1952-'54) were presented on NBC radio from September 1955 through February 1957 (under various advertisers, with PSA's and network promos).

The reason why you never hear the actual sentence that was imposed, is because the sentences were not decided upon until the person got to the prison, these days that is decided in the court.

I think the episodes with Frank are just better, the coke machine bit, is just one of many good ones, but the music playing inside Paula Rankins place sounds like she's watching Tom and Jerry!
