the creep tumor rush also forces clem to use a lot of his early scans. if the lurker game continued, he would not have enough scans banked to deal with the lurkers!
Try to explain it to the people who are making their livelihood by commentating on the game and can't see obvious strategies, smh!
@@k13kk Hard to think and talk for almost 1 hour straight and they don't really see whats happening in the whole map, they are just talking about what they see currently.

That energy is usually used on mules iirc that early on.
@@santrichuumonster no one does 2 scans in the first 5 mins of the game, there are no invisible zerg units... ever. It's obvious how costly 2 mules are, in the early game, you don't have to overthink and analyze it!
I was rooting for Clem but I have to admit that this overlord squad of queens dropping creep on the map was a really creative play from Serral. Even if you don't particularly like Zerg you have to admit that Serral is an outstanding player
Well Serral didn't come up with that one lol. Erik has been doing that and Serral learned it from him. Same with the extractor tricking build in game one
It’s Erik’s build. Actually been waiting for serral to play it as mechanically Erik seems quite weaker.
It’s an NA lol build from Erik, he showed it off a week or so ago when people saw it on youtube
I'm a big Clem fan too, and normally feel Zerg is OP, but even I can't hate on that last run by Serral, I was watching him do that and was just like, "That has to be so annoying for Clem, but where's Serral going with that" and then Serral started dropping and messing up the eco and was like, brilliant!

Clem had to scan so much his economy really hurt from that. Each scan = -225 minerals mined. Plus the nice multiprong drops did clem in

Ha, both the extractor-trick no-lings (because of early queen) and the creep-drop are Erik strategies, gotta love it reaching the pinnacle of Zerg play.
Serral gave them the stamp of approval. I never liked Eriks follow ups so I’m extremely happy serral decided to play it, was hoping for it actually

Clem was just overwhelmed and confused in the last game. Terran's haven't yet figured out the right response to the queen-creep drop from the 15/15 erik build.
That last game just showed again that Serral is the GOAT
He just copied the build of Erik and proved its extreme nastiness in skilled hands. Clem responded poorly he could have rushed raven and vikings to counter the build as he sees the lair. Taxing scans to deal with the tumors caused his economy to fall greatly behind, terran can't really afford so many scans early in the game, 2 scans equal to a cc lost.

Damn, Clem opened real strong in the first two games but Serral's plays in the last 3 games was something else. That was an entertaining BO5.

Rotterdam’s commentary reached another level towards the end there.
Extractor tricking to get up a 15/14 hatch, and tricking again before overlord is how I've played for years, and it feels validating to see the best zerg in the world doing it.
Now that was a great game 5, forcing out all those scans to hurt Terran economy and macroing on the back of it, while CONTINUING that same harass when the armies are being engaged. Absolutely the peak use of drop overlord strat I have seen

4:40 ..there are 3 tanks that were killed not 2 :) 1 was in front of factory ..and the last one behind ..the camera moving after the fight was weird but from the position of tanks u can see there were 3

Could someone explain to me why Clem didn't build some blue flame firebats in game 2 and 3 to tank and thin out the Lingbane? Are they not cost effective? Or is just that marine/tank is better in the long run?
from a plat zerg point of view: once I get enough ling band the hellbats melt to banes so easily and are so slow, and hellions are good for runbys but get caught by lings on creep. Ultimately if you have a bio army, it isn't synergistic to micro both marine ghost ( which move at once speed an thickness) an the hellions . In a mech army, the tank and thor clean up the clumps of units faster than the hellbats die though.
Marines also in a clump can kill banes in a conga line, which means you can't assume your banes get their due to pathing issues and need more micro.

This strategy was invented by Alex007 7 years ago, Serral did not come up with this strategy, everyone should know the truth
Widow mines are such a shitty unit. And as usual, it has to be mentioned that Terran has everything on easy mode compared to Zerg. Imagine banelings catapulting out of the ground with range 6, or Overlord-Drops with activatble speed boost and heal... I have like 20 more comparisons
Apart from that, both played well

Me knowing Serral is playing the Eric build in games 1 and 5, that Lowko has been posting videos about for a month, in which he says Serral very publicly commented that he likes and approves this build, but people who's job is to be professional commentators, don't know. Fucking amateurs really!
Yea its annoying that the credits isnt given to erik by those commentators but its also nice that the goat serral is making the build work
This is why I love wacky builds, iirc the Erik build is just strait up better than the current standard according to Serral. You get your pool & hatch quicker, and the strat is so early idk how your opponent can counter it w/o going nearly all in since its an opener.
We should see More queen drops spreading creep then harassing.
