It's winter in June in Antarctica. So the ice blanket would get shrunk .
You initially told it to be December when it is summer in Antarctica. Ice would melt and the ice blanket would spread. What you told initially seems to be correct.
Please clarify the matter. It seems to be having inconsistencies.

He is saying with respect to Ice sheet in march(when there is summer in anatarctica and as you move past 21 march i.e., Spring equinox, winter will start building up in South pole and antarctica). when slowly sun will move towards Tropic of capricorn in june say (21 June i.e., summer solstice) then ice will start building up(as now south pole, will get no sun rays as you move from march to june and continue getting no sun rays untill october so one can say winter lasts in antarctica from march to October and summer start from oct and end at march. March is transition point of season. And there are only 2 seasons in antartica. you move north from south pole. I hope it's clear.
