"Mafia" is a very famous party game in South Korea. The lyrics make a parallel between being the villains in the game to secretly being in love and kinda crushing on someone
It's actually a tabletop game that has been around for awhile, although I've seen kpop stars play it a bit differently... but same concept.

No point on setting roles to this girls, they all can sing, dance and rap. On this new album you can even listen to Lia's rap, and she is officially the main vocal, and it's pretty good cause it sounds like a melodic rap or so.

ITZY is a group that was created with 4 dance line trainees (Yeji-orange hair, Ryujin-blonde hair, Yuna-black hair, and Chaeryeong-red hair) and 1 vocal line trainee (Lia-brown hair). Its because of their strong dance line that they have arguably the strongest dance line of any 4th gen groups. Extremely skilled dancers for a rookie group.
I don't think it's arguable at this point because of the high level of those 4 you mentioned.

8:18 The fact you thought Chaeryeong is a vocalist shows how well rounded Itzy is 🤣 She's primarily a dancer, and without a doubt the best dancer of the 4th Generation along with her sister, as well as one of the best dancers in all of Kpop. People don't notice it at first because she's often sidelined (😭😭) but in fancams, dance performances, etc. it's so apparent how incredible she is. I'd honestly say she the most fluid dancer in K-pop, and she has impossibly perfect balance and control.
Yeji (the lighter red head) is also an AMAZING amazing dancer, and the other Main Dancer of the group, and the fact she assumes the role of a rapper in this song again shows Itzy's talent. She and Chaer have vvv different styles, Yeji is more hiphop and power focused, but they compliment each other so well. These two, as well as Ryujin (blonde) and Yuna (raven haired), are the reason Itzy has one of the best dance lines the industry has ever seen.
They all can rap, sing, dance and visuals. That’s why their official tag line everytime they introduce themselves is “ALL IN US”, which means they have everything.
The choreography in ITZY songs are truly top tier. You definitely should react to more of their mvs and dance practices, I'm sure you're gonna enjoy it. I recommend "Wannabe" next
It's sad that she thought of Chaeryeong as just a vocalist and not the main dancer she is (she's an amazing vocalis but my point is that she's not recogniced as an amazing dancer as well because she doesn't have any eye-catching part for the non stans), the formations are always messed up and even when she gets center she's in the last row :(

Actually in korea, People don't like this song because of the rap lyrics composed by JYP and disconnected flow..The biggest complaint from Korean fans is that they gave only the rap part to Yeji, who has excellent vocals..( ͠° ͟ʖ ͡°)
@@Liminted_M korean audience is too picky, they don't value the fact that ITZY girls have all the skills and they take turns on their roles. Their album has other 5 songs, I mean, if they miss Yeji's singing voice, then listen to the album, she isn't called the "ace of JYPE" for nothing.
people tend to focus on the center of the choreography, but if they look attentively to the side they'll see Chaeryeong being the cleanest dancer of this generation.

@@Liminted_M I didn't mean to judge, I've been into kpop long enough to notice that korean audience tend to stick with very specific styles compared to foreign audience when it comes to music and beauty standards. Maybe you don't notice this because you're korean and that's common behaviour for you. I meant there is no point in complaining about Yeji's parts on the title song since she still sings on the other songs in the album, same for the other girls, they are talented and skilled, no need to stick to a pattern, isn't it awesome when they can show different colors of themselves?

When it comes to choreography, Itzy never lets you down
I've found that Itzy is a really strong dance group, but what stands out about their dances most for me is their finger-tutting. They do it a lot in two or so other m/vs, and while they do it only a few times in this one, it still looks really really good here. They kill the finger movements.

At the first shot of the dance practice, front to back : The first one is Yeji (leader, main dancer), then Chaeryeong (main dancer, sub vocalist), the blonde girl is Ryujin (Main rapper, Center), then Lia (main vocalist) and the one standing is Yuna (Visual, lead rapper/dancer). They all are awesome !
the blonde one is ryujin, the redhead "cardi b" one is yeji and the other redhead is chaeryeong, the tallest with long black hair is the youngest member yuna and the last girl with the ponytail is lia ^^
8:18 actually she's the main dancer (with Yeji, the red hair "cardi b") and she's just a vocal from what I remember, her name is Chaeryoung. The main vocalist is Lia, she's the center during the bridge with the blond one (Ryujin) and last but not least, Yuna the youngest, she's the straight black hair.
Itzy have one of the best dance lines (Yeji and Chaeryoung being the main dancers and Ryujin and Yuna being the lead dancers) in the hole kpop history (male and female)

Thanks for reacting ITZY. They were under JYP Entertainment, which all of their groups are really focus on dancing. ITZY is one of the cool girl groups but at the same time are cute. I love their Rap Tone. Like it's so natural and they don't need to change their tone just to sounded cool.
I hope you can react to Twice as well. They're under JYP Ent and older sister of ITZY. They're more subtle girl group but when they dance, they always captivate you with there vocals and intricate formations.

A group I also think you’ll enjoy is stray kids. They are a brother group to itzy. They are both under JYP and these boys are all all rounders. They all are known to be amazing dancers, singer and rappers. Together with producers. (They are a 100% self made group)

They are real monsters. The very best of the 4th generation. I think their possible competition will be aespa in the future.

Mafia in this is referring to a game, it goes by various names around the globe some with slightly different rules like heads down thumbs up and warewolf, Cluedo and among us are also variations of Mafia. Chances are if you've ever played a murder mystery type game then you'll know how to play Mafia.
In this song the girls are the Mafia (murderer, villain, it, etc) and they're telling this person not to love/trust them so easily. Yeji (redish/orange hair): She's the oldest, the leader, the second Main Dancer, Lead Vocalist and also a sub-rapper.
So she's an all rounder.
Lia (brown hair): She's the Main Vocalist and sub-rapper.
Many people consider her a "bad dancer" but personally i just think the others are so amazing that it makes her look a bit worse than her actual ability, but she is an average dancer.
Ryujin (blonde hair): She is the Main Rapper, Lead Dancer, Sub Vocalist and Center.
Also an all rounder.
Chaeryeong (dark red hair): The Main Dancer, Sub Vocalist, Sub Rapper.
She is the best dancer in Itzy.
Yuna (black hair): She is the Lead Rapper, Lead Dancer, Sub Vocalist, Visual and the Maknae (which means youngest)

Overall an amazingly talented group!!
