Why are ppl so against them for Dick and Babs? Dick loved Kori, he may have had a crush on babs before, but he wasnt longing for her while with Kori, he fell in love with Kori and almost married her. He loved babs later on. Also, they kept feelings for a while, and its clear Kori always loved him. The only person Dick is ever sown to have a potential future and AU child with is Kori. So i dont get it can someone explain?
Barbara was originally seven years older than dick , she was introduced as librarian when he was a teen , he did has a crush on her but she found him too young , he met kory when he was 18 , she was his love interest for 14 years , she was his first serious relationship , they broke up because the bat writers wanted dick back in the bat world , the bat writers Changed Barbara age and history and made her dick childhood sweetheart and kory was just a fling , made a lot of retcons that diminish degrade kory's love and relationship with dick , made a lot of retcons and stories to prove how much dick love Barbara , his relationship with Barbara maybe seems perfect and ideal but it builds on retcons and at dickkory's expense .
The Titans franchise is basically set up like this (by year): 60's/70's Teen Titans V1, 80's New Teen Titans, 90's New Titans (and mini spin off Team Titans), 90's Teen Titans V2, 90's/2000's Titans V1, 90's/2000's Young Justice V1, 2003-2011 Teen Titans V3, 2008-2011 Titans V2. Then there's Tiny Titans, the cartoon show, the Teen Titans Go! side comics to the show, the DC Nation animated shorts, and the current cartoon. And a lot of the Titans aaaaaalso appear in different comics.
Dc ruined them because they don't want dick to have a life outside Bruce world and kory will never be part of Bruce dark world . Retcons killed them before erasing their love .

Don't worry, it was nothing like that! Short answer: it was a combination of bad writing and editorial trying to bring Dick back to the Batman franchise. Long answer:.....I don't even remember. Their wedding was a disaster, Kory was almost driven mad by Raven's influence, Dick was stressed about everything, and then Kory decided it would be best for her to go back to Tameran. Or something like that. I sped through it because the bad 90's art was giving me a headache.
@Azarathianz You do! :D The quality of the comics is a roller coaster that can either be incredible, horrible or anything in between. But NTT is really well-written (and one of my favourite runs), if you don't mind some cheesy 80's dialogue now and again.
Starfire was his love interest from 1980 to 1994 , he met her when he was 18 and broke up when he was 21 , god , i wish the bat writers Go to hell for all the retcons and slut shame they did .

If you read past the first few issues and stayed with the series you would see how wrong you are. She evolved as a character along with the rest of the outlaws.

It is, actually! Its in the same continuity (sort of- with mild retcons) but this video was made out scenes JUST from New Teen Titans. Babs never had anything to do with the Titans, being 'too old' to join so yep. Different eras, different relationships. Stuff you have to consider if you ship comic book characters.
@drakozero8 Nope, Dick and Kory never got officially back together after their botched wedding. Many maybes and close attempts but in the end, no. Pre-reboot, they had a close bond, if somewhat strained by their feelings; but Kory decided to leave Earth behind after noticing how much things had change with her, the Titans and Dick. Post-reboot, Kory's back on Earth but something in their past changed and now Kory has less-than-pleasant memories of Dick. I'm not too happy about this change.

If you're interested in Dick and Kory's relationship, I'd definitely read 'New Teen Titans'. It's a little dated but it's the run that inspired the cartoon and had many great stories.

They could still get back together eventually, especially now that Cheshires coming into Outlaws she could get with Arsenal again and once the writers do their major story arcs, maybe theyll meet again. Kori keeps Nightwing's suits and obviously still cares. lets wait and see. I mean DC had Dick have an anternate child and future with only her, why?

Yay for cheesy 80's dialogue! :D NTT was a mix of superheroics and their civillian lives. It was also a mix of angsty soap opera dramatics and a giant love-fest where they all hugged a lot. It was fabulous.

Uh, anyways, this is all from the 80's and 90's runs of New Teen Titans and New Titans. I used comics from 1980-1994. I'm making another Dick/Koriand'r video sometime in the near future- with more recent scans and material.

@Punkrockchick27 Well, actually, they have met. Clark and Lois are still co-workers at the Daily Planet and they met when Clark first got to Metropolis. The only difference is that they never dated and got married- but Clark has feelings for her. I'm...less annoyed at that as I used to be. =/ And I love Clark/Lois. I'm more angry at the fact Ma and Pa Kent were killed off and they got rid of the Barry/Iris relationship as well (the Flash fam's origins RELY on that relationship!) AGHHH.
(I also forgot to mention the current Teen Titans V4, but that's part of the rebooted series and pretty much erased every other era/series I mentioned.) Anyway yeah, Dick (originally Robin, then Nightwing, has a few stints as Batman) and Kory (Starfire) do meet in New Teen Titans. New Titans actually introduced Kory, Raven and Vic (Cyborg). Gar (Beast Boy/Changeling) was already part of Titans West, but he became part of the core team in New Titans. They based the tv show on this era.

I spoke of it not him I am the speaker you don't deserve but the one you needed. I speak of evil raven I think that she is understandable if you read between the lines. For example, while her main goal at that time was to plant the souls of azarath's corrupted, she only crashed the wedding due to her uninhibited desire to have Dick Grayson all to herself as confirmed in "Raven Reborn." But dismissed as a misuse of power. Punish me set the dogs on me I deserve the penalty.

I REALLY wish I could help you but it's been years since I read all of this. Ok, my only advice is to google the series with keywords like cbz, cbr, download, etc. Maybe try and find a masterlist? Everything in this video is from the 80's/90's New Teen Titans/New Titans series, but comic books are really, really expansive and the characters appear in many different titles (series) over the years. I'll explain more in my next response.

Why are ppl so against them for Dick and Babs? Dick loved Kori, he may have had a crush on babs before, but he wasnt longing for her while with Kori, he fell in love with Kori and almost married her. He loved babs later on. Also, they kept feelings for a while, and its clear Kori always loved him. The only person Dick is ever sown to have a potential future and AU child with is Kori. So i dont get it can someone explain?
Barbara was originally seven years older than dick , she was introduced as librarian when he was a teen , he did has a crush on her but she found him too young , he met kory when he was 18 , she was his love interest for 14 years , she was his first serious relationship , they broke up because the bat writers wanted dick back in the bat world , the bat writers Changed Barbara age and history and made her dick childhood sweetheart and kory was just a fling , made a lot of retcons that diminish degrade kory's love and relationship with dick , made a lot of retcons and stories to prove how much dick love Barbara , his relationship with Barbara maybe seems perfect and ideal but it builds on retcons and at dickkory's expense .

Short answer: it was a combination of bad writing and editorial trying to bring Dick back to the Batman franchise. Long answer:.....I don't even remember. Their wedding was a disaster, Kory was almost driven mad by Raven's influence, Dick was stressed about everything, and then Kory decided it would be best for her to go back to Tameran. Or something like that. I sped through it because the bad 90's art was giving me a headache.

It is, actually! Its in the same continuity (sort of- with mild retcons) but this video was made out scenes JUST from New Teen Titans. Babs never had anything to do with the Titans, being 'too old' to join so yep. Different eras, different relationships. Stuff you have to consider if you ship comic book characters.

@drakozero8 Nope, Dick and Kory never got officially back together after their botched wedding. Many maybes and close attempts but in the end, no.
Pre-reboot, they had a close bond, if somewhat strained by their feelings; but Kory decided to leave Earth behind after noticing how much things had change with her, the Titans and Dick.
Post-reboot, Kory's back on Earth but something in their past changed and now Kory has less-than-pleasant memories of Dick. I'm not too happy about this change.

Um, well, with comics, you could really start at any point. If you're interested in Dick and Kory's relationship, I'd definitely read 'New Teen Titans'. It's a little dated but it's the run that inspired the cartoon and had many great stories.

(I also forgot to mention the current Teen Titans V4, but that's part of the rebooted series and pretty much erased every other era/series I mentioned.)
Anyway yeah, Dick (originally Robin, then Nightwing, has a few stints as Batman) and Kory (Starfire) do meet in New Teen Titans. New Titans actually introduced Kory, Raven and Vic (Cyborg). Gar (Beast Boy/Changeling) was already part of Titans West, but he became part of the core team in New Titans. They based the tv show on this era.
