We don't need him, we have a load of amazing CMs. And he earned over 78k euros per week with us, maybe less than some players but definitely more than enough. He is just greedy.
So what's so good about him? Most people just look at the stats etc many passes and success rate is high, but when I watch him all he do is simple long balls. He is slow, nothing special at dribbling, good at long shots but rarely has the chance to do so. Thiago is better, and our new free transfer Rudy is also better, long passes is the basics man, basics, and being good at doing the basics will not take you one of the best. I do not regret selling him.

There is no doubt that Toni is one of the best midfielders in the world now, but I'm glad that Bayern didn't let a then 24 year old say that he is not getting paid enough. Bayern always dispose of players who show that they play for the money and I'm proud of that
I think it's wrong to say that he plays 'just for the money' the man had been there forever and he got payed a LOT less than Mario Götze who just arrived there, I can understand that he felt like he wasn't important enough and that he was wronged.

Bayern were dumb to let him go. He was the 15th best paid player during the treble days. He wanted a salary that would place him higher up the list. Thiago and Javi were new-comers then and they were paid double the wages as him. He wanted to stay at bayern but bayern didn't respect him enough to offer him the same deals. Evidently his replacements were paid higher than his demands. Absolute mental from bayern, kroos could have been a club icon like müller, but they didn't adhere to his demands. Bayern won 0 UCLs after that. Kroos went on to win 4. Who were the losers there?. It seems bayern are going to make the same mistake with alaba. Alaba is clearly one of our 3 main players. He is the reason for bayerns solid defence. Loosing him will not be beneficial for bayern. His replacements will cost the transfer fee of €50M+ and a similar pay to his demands. It seems bayern may be too miserly with their money. It has taken 7 years for bayern to recover from the treble days. They are the faves now, lets hope they win it.
