That scene when the father told them he loves them was too much for me....i cried like a baby.
The way older Adam reacted with, "Yeah. ok... Ok, ok". Like a typical kid, not wanting to hear, but wanting to hear it. And his dad kept on repeating and repeating until he REALLY HEARD THAT HE LOVED HIM .... Yeah, I cried, too. :)

Fun to see Netflix invest in movies with good scripts, actors etc.
Other than Cobra Kai or Never Have I Ever, it's what keeps me coming back for more.

I watched this movie 2 times within days. The casting on young Adam was amazing. His sarcasm and cadence in their voices was dead on. I had to keep re winding it!! One of the very best movies I’ve watched in many many years. Ryan is the whole package. Drama, comedies, action. He’s always so very interesting to watch as an actor in his very different roles.

I love that Shawn and Ryan teamed up again. While I liked "Free Guy", this movie was enjoyable to me, and I liked that it was a love letter to classic time travel movies, especially the BTTF trilogy.

The director said it right. You have it all in this movie-comedy, action, sci-fi, family, love & in-depth understanding. Great script. Glad Netflix did. Prob the best for this yr.

This was such a good film. They are right about the films of our childhood having wish fulfilment, but with heart. I described it to my mum as "like Back to the Future" but with emotion.

This kid walker is perfect to play a young Ryan. Amazing how much this kid acted like Ryan.
The script and the casting was amazing! Walker made the movie, for someone who had absolutely no previous experience....this was a tremendous success. He was cute, and sincere, and funny. And to see him in interviews being the exact same as a shy 13 year old boy, is so genuine. Ryan and Walker's chemistry in the movie could not have been more perfect. Walker made the movie I feel. I busted out laughing so many times by the sheer delivery of his lines and just how funny they were "skip leg day in the future", "do we get girls", "the Amazon bully starter kit", "It's like I traded my brain for muscles"....The level of sarcastic wit...matched Ryan so well. We didn't see Ryan as a child actor....but it's like now we get that chance!
Not sure if anyone noticed but I think having Ryan as a producer on this movie probably hit home for him. From what I remember, his dad passed away due to Parkinsons and somehow I feel this is a love letter from him to his dad. Wanting to see him one last time and telling his younger self that it will all be ok. Making this connection makes this movie much more heartfelt for me

What a film. The last scene when he says "I've found you". That is obviously the young Adam in the future who has been waiting for that moment :) The double scene where Adams mother is sorting house insurance and Adam hugs her, this is the youngest Adam who has been raised with more love from the dad.
But whats most sad of all is Old Adam goes back to his timeline knowing his wife is dead, his dad is dead, and the movie hints his mother is dead too, which means he is going back completely alone :(
I think it’s slightly lass sad, but still sad. The Adams we know, simply don’t exist anymore. The movie implies there is only one timeline, meaning their timeline was completely overwritten, like erasing a whiteboard and writing over it. They didn’t go back anywhere. Not dead, exactly. It’s like when you restore a backup on your phone. The new state was just overwritten with a previous one.
@@alexwolfeboy I definitely disagree Ethan. The film clearly shows different timelines for the characters. Adam going into the past effects his own timeline yes, but it also effects the timeline he enters. Each Adam has a different timeline. There is no debate about this.
Old Adam goes back to his timeline with no family :( The film doesn't show this, but we know thats the reality for him.
@@RaiseTheSpirit I disagree, from how I saw it, like with the dismissal of the multiverse and how Ryan said the memories would be updated when it returned, it would seem there is only one timeline. The mechanics aren’t too clearly defined, because there is obviously a grandfather paradox here.
@@alexwolfeboy right. I think they set the premises to avoid the conclusion that there are still different adams on different timelines.
@@uju4420 that’s how it seems, especially since adult Adam dismissed the concept of the multiverse. The exact mechanics are complicated, since it seems the grandfather paradox isn’t coming into play, but there’s still only one timeline. Essential cause and effect gets broken during time travel.
Didn't expect a netflix film to leave me bawling my eyes out.
LOVED that movie. Stories like that have sparked my imagination, and have been compelling me to write for years now. Netflix, if you are up for first (and exclusive) rights for another time-travel story, let me know. The Kronos Stone is now written and ready. Always willing to talk and can send in a sample/synopsis. Not sure anyone ever reads these comments, but you never know. :)
If there’s a book out there, I’d like to read it.

Shawn Levy keeps proving himself to be a new generation Spielberg. The Adam Project is just as awesome of a Reynolds/Levy team up as Free Guy
I love his work and I'd love to agree with you but what Spielberg did is just not repeatable. He changed the industry
@@deaconstjohn4842 True but Levy has got to expand his creative horizons to get there and he is almost there. I've also seen Free Guy, Real Steel, Night at the Museum trilogy, Pink Panther and Cheaper by the Dozen.

I saw this the day it was released on Netflix and loved it! It was definitely a tear-jerker at the end and an overall awesome movie!
I cried for like the last 10 minutes of the movie! This was a great movie!

I was skeptical at first when the movie came out but when i watched the movie it was not that bad at all and made me tear up a bit at the end :')

Hands Down the Best Movie I have seen in a Long time ! Had to watch it back to back several times, it was That good ! Unfortunately It would take way too long to point out all the really good parts of this film, there were so many ! Congratulations to all involved ! Well Done !

Watched this with my daughter and was touched by the premise of the movie. It turned out to be such a great movie to watch with her as it explored relationships and death and in some small way brought us closer together. Weird I know..

I've seen this film at least 2 dozen times. It is one of the best films made in the past 12+ years.
This was such a good film of Ryan Reynolds! I've seen tons of his work & this one is truthful to my heart... everything is blending together, action,drama, science fiction, and what an emotional ending...plus great casting choice for Little Ryan..they both matching each other...to those who haven't seen it yet... please go see it now !!
My favorite movies with him are voicing Guy in The Croods and Turbo. But I've also seen him in Free Guy, Definitely Maybe, The Proposal, Hobbs & Shaw, Red Notice and Detective Pikachu.

It the amazing movie I loved every part of it mostly when he came back and spoke to his mother at the bar... that was very deep and yes when his father told him he loved them, this movie is added to my new favorites! I hope I see the boy, Walker Scovell again in more movies to come !

Loved loved loved this! Best Netflix movie in a while. Hey nobody ever thought there would be a Back to the future 2 or 3. I would love to see a Adam Project 2 or Adam Project 3. My point, you left a lot open. Like Adam and his sweetheart meeting. Little Adam loving his mom, the bully’s! Did they stop, and was Dad saved? What happened to the drive. Did Adam know what to do with it, or did Dad do something with it. Just so much room for growth into a 2 or 3. I really really hope this is not the end.
