See, they need to make a new "YN4" paint scheme where it's similar to the YN2, but instead of the dark blue stripe, it could be orange and red to represent part of the Chessie's and Seaboard's colors. I wish I could share a visual of what I'm talking about
I wish they quit rebuilding them. The only thing that changes is the controls and they slap a inward camera inside. They all shake to death just like before the rebuild.
@wvmontani back when the CP units were rebuilt they looked hideous. A mixture of old and new parts. Somebody at GE called them Frankensteins because the monster was made up of parts from different bodies.
All shots here are awesome scale models definitely yes ! Great presentation out there. (CSX ) 👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Thank you very much!
I like that YN2 frankenstein unit. I'm gonna miss the YN2 when it's all gone.
Me too!
Me also!
Same here
Same
Itll just be 2 GP40s, a SD40, and some D8s and D9s left unless CSX makes a YN2 CM44
Ive shot about 100 YN2s
@@LivingWRailfanI think theres a GP38 that wears YN2 as well
Nice lashup for 2024 on that freight with a YN2 leader and SD70MAC.
I was surprised by it. I am also surprised how many are still in service!
@@stephankoenig5481 I watched Virtual Railfan's Grab Bag tonight and the same pair came through Deshler, OH.
Nice catch of those rebuilds!
@WH_Railfan84 thanks!
@@stephankoenig5481 You're welcome.
Bro keep that YN2 scheme as a heritage unit!!!!!
I wish they would keep a few YN2’s as Heritage units!
To me, the yellow nose 2 is the best CSX scheme.
YN2 is not heritage
@@armandoperez7967 yes indeed, it is!
@@CreamyPennePasta well DUHuHuHuuuhhhh what is? spAGwTiiiii!??
Neat you get to catch all of that cool action. 🤠👍
@@espeescotty thanks for watching!
Great Catch and I can’t wait when they’ve repainted and more generations to come
Thanks. They may be shipped in full paint next week.
Yours Welcome and I can't wait

Cool never see much CSX up here
That looks like a leaf caught in the whirlpool as the water flows through an opening in the rocks.
Excellent video my friends 😊fantatic 😮like 👍🏻 and Greeting 🙋🏻♂️
@MarcelosalivaTRENESArg Thanks my friend! Greetings from the USA!
This set of rebuilds list is large, about 60 locomotives have been rebuilt
Where is this? its interesting to me that there is an extra set of rails inside the outer ones.
Wabtec Test Track in Erie, PA
YN2 always wins, but the Frankenstein looks kinda cool as well.
Sad to see yn2 disappear, but excited to see those frankenstein units out on the road
As part of the Heritage flee it was planned to repaint a GEVO into that scheme. Not sure if they still have that plan.
@@stephankoenig5481 They should totally do that
AYO new YN2 CSX 2:16
Have any ACSES AC44’s left Wabtec yet?
@southmassrailfan Not yet. Soon though.
What? I haven’t heard of this yet
1:30 you captured a whirlpool?
@@idkhow-yl7xo Yep just an odd place for one!
More frankensteins for CSX.
Hope see them rolling through Illinois but with hauling freight making money .
They were waiting for pick up this morning.
Cool, where are the dash 8s and 9s gonna go after storage? I’d like to see more ditch light engines on the rails.
Either storage at Relco in Iowa or to Larrys Truck and Electric in Ohio
@@stephankoenig5481 Why? I thought waycross and Cumberland have stored dash engines!
@@Buckskin1290 Many if not all will be going to scrap eventually.
@@stephankoenig5481 Why?
After being stored for long periods of time tgey become to expensive to repair.
Awesome job, great catch!👍🏾👏🏾
Thanks for watching!
@@stephankoenig5481 you’re welcome my friend!
Amazingggg
It looks like the dash 8 but upgraded
Are those K5HLA's?
7411 has a K5HL, 7412 has a Hybrid K5LA.
Looks like a waterhole
weird to see one like that there!
Just a dry leaf riding the surface tension of the water as it swirls around that drain hole. Odd place for a drain hole....
My thoughts exactly!
Are they all still using FDL-12's ? .. many thanks.
FDL-16s with many enhancements.
The 7400's will be painted eventually.
@@QualityControl2271 they all leave the plant painted.
@@stephankoenig5481 That's true because CSX 7415 was already fully painted.
GE Leaf
Remarkably it was in the same place today!
I wish they quit rebuilding them. The only thing that changes is the controls and they slap a inward camera inside. They all shake to death just like before the rebuild.
Helps pay the bills. Saves rail company money.
@@HussarArms no it doesn’t. They worked about as well as they did before the “rebuild”
Why are they called "Frankenstein" units?

just needs some BNSF color.............................
