That’s crazy to think there is a coil down in the cylinder and it runs for years. I would have been paranoid to break down all the time. Just an absolute bulletproof bike. I have an 01 and I’m in love with it. I often ride it and say I don’t believe they have made a better bike. Powerful, fast, athletic, agile and tons of handling and stopping power. Just a beautiful beast of a machine.
Just put it up for winter ......Ya i wasnt worried about it breaking down on me . Got AAA so just have it towed home n part it out . Still purrs like a tiger
I've never seen a radar detector installed on a bike before lol. Nice. I would of thought for sure the engine would be dead leaving that in the engine. Crazy it survived and I'm glad it did. I'm with you on the chance if your plans was to scrap it anyways. Why not. Great job
I just bought a 2000 929rr about 7 months ago and that was one of the first things i did to it. I ended up rebuilding it just got my fuel pump it kick on to prime but now im fighting a no spark nightmare issue. Im glad to hear that its been 7 years . one less issue to deal with. Its been a long road trying to get this thing running but im getting closer every day. Thanks for the info
