Hi Sarah. The woodchip paths make the flower/veg beds pop. How nice it all looks. Well done on using the rosemary on your rustic mash and growing it yourself. Everything is looking rosy. Merry Christmas Sarah to you, Mick and the family. 🎄 🎅
Your allotment is looking lovely Sarah 🎉..comfrey is good in the compost it breaks down the leaves quicker so you can cut it down and it will grow more.😅❤❤
@@poppydaniels9855 yes I quite often put a few leaves in a tub and collect rain water mixed in with the leaves . I will do more of that next year as have 3 huge bushes of it
Lovely looking plot Sarah - the wood chip is a game changer! Awesome to see you enjoying your own potatoes. I've just grown my first lot of potatoes for Christmas dinner tomorrow. Merry Christmas to you and Mick and your family x
I just have to say you have to be the hardest working gardener in the whole allotment and it really shows. The wood chip paths make everything look so neat and tidy and your harvest was the best yet ! Rosemary is also is really nice to season a baking chicken as well as potatoes. I wish you, Mick and your family peace, health and happiness in this holiday season and in the New Year. Merry Christmas Love and hugs ❤🎄🎉🥰 xx
Just a suggestion for you. If you put a small fresh sprig of rosemary into the water while the potatoes are boiling it works great too and it give your potatoes just a mild taste of rosemary. I was shovelling snow here this morning. Quite the weather contrast from your video. This year I fully cut down my comfrey half way through the season because it got too big and it grew back again but half the size it was and fuller. I liked it better. Canada. 💕
Bug bites can be very harmful. Keep an eye on. If it gets worse, please see a doctor. We have brown recluse spiders in the US that can be deadly. I want you to stay healthy~
Who needs a gym membership when you have such a big allotment to care for! Such excellent exercise the garden is creating, as well as food, flowers and mental health.
All that walking and bending/stopping is excellent exercise. I hope the hill coming in isn’t too hard on your hips and knees! You are doing an amazing job, it’s been fun to watch your garden amendments. I can’t even imagine what you would want to do next year, beyond growing wonderful things. Looking forward to seeing what your imagination creates.
It’s been both fun and informative to watch your imagination at work. I look forward to seeing what you create next growing season. Your rhubarb leaves would make beautiful concrete stepping stones (easy to google how to do it) but that motorized wagon would definitely be wanted to help haul in a bag of concrete. I got tired of weeding some of my lesser used paths so sprinkled creeping thyme seeds. Makes a pretty ground cover that is inexpensive to start, controls weeds and smells wonderful when walked on. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Hi Sarah The woodchip has smartened the paths. It should make next year's planting easier with better access to the beds. Have a wonderful Christmas 🎄🎄❤. You can refect on your allotment success🥰
Fantastic job on the paths, they look awesome! It's great to see you using the herbs you grew. I love cooking with fresh herbs. I to can make a meal of mashed potatoes. In fact thats what I am making for my dinner to.😊
