The amount of pressure he probably has put on himself shouldn't backfire on any way is all we can hope for. We don't want him to break, sportsmen are incredibly strong but they're fragile as well, kind of like glass. I just hope he's happy and healthy the entire time he's alive and skating , but a few extra golds never hurt. It just shouldn't be the end goal.
The inexplicable thing is, if he were to skate free and happy, he'd probably be able to take gold, easy. He'd have absolutely no fear, just like how he was in that all Japan novice competition back in 2004. It's all the other things he can't help but feel and think about now that makes it harder to perform as smoothly as he wants to. Sometimes he's able to overcome them and sometimes he isn't. But the fact that he's able to overcome them at all at some point, is what makes him the awe-inspiring champion that he is.
Dear Yuzu, it's okay to make mistake and it's okay to not get gold medal. We love you not because you're a champion, we love you because you skate beautifully and you can convey your feeling through your skate. Just have fun in FS, skate for yourself and don't get hurt.

I didn't think underrating also happens in sports, only thought they're for stars like K-pop groups haha ... anyways, scores determine the quantity but not the quality of the performance. The great vast of audiences will testify to how they felt during the performances (especially to Yuzu's) so that's something to comfort the athletes. They all did their best (putting their health and young life at line) and again, at the end of the day, they're competing for the sports not against each other (personally). They're good people. *Side note: If I was Yuzu, I'd feel like, "oh please I'm not the only one in this press-con haha, the world doesn't revolve around me, look at these two beside me as well, they're almost bored. plus, i want to have more time to think about my FS ^^" *Nathan & Kevin: "Uhm, can we take a nap for a while coz we're also feeling exhausted. Junko Sato She’s probably under a lot of pressure not to mess up cause this is a press conference for an international competition. She also had to do the translation on the spot so she probably prioritized making the sentences grammatically correct.
清娇张 I guess her English could have been smoother/more grammatically correct... but it is very hard to translate when under pressure... I had to translate a speech by a principal from an exchange school in front of my whole school and honestly it was terrifying and there were only ~350 people and zero film crew. I’m pretty sure I messed up a lot... hehe
I'm not so concerned about grammatical mistakes and such, I'm a bit disappointed some of Yuzu's comments were not accurately transferred to the English speaking people out there.

His surname/family name is hanyu..his real/given name is yuzuru..usually in jp he is called hanyu yuzuru as japan tends to call people by surname first..in western countries and international competition they usually use real name first then surname thus yuzuru hanyu..hope it helps..

I didn't think underrating also happens in sports, only thought they're for stars like K-pop groups haha ... anyways, scores determine the quantity but not the quality of the performance. The great vast of audiences will testify to how they felt during the performances (especially to Yuzu's) so that's something to comfort the athletes. They all did their best (putting their health and young life at line) and again, at the end of the day, they're competing for the sports not against each other (personally). They're good people.
*Side note: If I was Yuzu, I'd feel like, "oh please I'm not the only one in this press-con haha, the world doesn't revolve around me, look at these two beside me as well, they're almost bored. plus, i want to have more time to think about my FS ^^"

I thought Hanyu was looking at Nathan just like he did at Patrick Chan before his FP at Sochi and I was worried, but looked so serene and confident during the performance. I am sure he is already on his usual way to overcoming challenges and getting an unthinkable win soon. Go yuzu!

The journalist asked Yuzuru if he would take a Russian coach. Because at a previous interview, Yuzuru said he was interested in Russian skating. So he was asked if he would take a Russian coach and he said maybe one day. This time, Yuzu laughed and said it was a joke.

Юдзуру великолепен. Какое бы место не занял Чен, он не способен собирать залы, он не способен повысить популярность "фигурного прыганья " в своей стране. Он обычный, не будут люди летать самолётами за ним.Отпрыгал, ну и ладно. Особенно мерзко, когда тренер Артунян пожаловался на брошенные игрушки сопернику. Юдзуру никогда бы такого себе не позволил. Благодаря этой парочке на ЧЯ игрушек не будет.
Вот, правильно сказал. Чен просто прыгает. Конечно, прыгает великолепно, но кроме того его катание совсем обычное. А Юзуру - ледовой волшебник. У него не только превосходная техника, но и умение превратить спорт в искусство.
Американцы не фанатичны как японцы,вот в чём разница. К тому же ФК там не такой популярный вид спорта в отличии от Японии, где ФК обожают с 80х
@@lorel1458 до Юдзуру японцы тоже были не фанатичны. Просто "прыгание Чена и непомерные ГОЭ" никогда не заставят людей смотреть его выступления. Особено противно было смотреть потуги Артуняна, который бегал вдоль бортов и просил людей хлопать посильнее. Это мерзко.
@@Hrom4eg потому что это первый их ОИ. До него также тысячи людей собирались в залах и смотрели ФК. Повторюсь это очень фанатичный народ,это свойственно азиатам. Можете даже глянуть записи из 90х. А насчёт оценок я соглашусь с вами! Я фанатка и Юзу и Нэйтана,и очевидно Юзу уже надоел ИСУ) но невозможно отрицать что Нэйт огромный молодец и заслуженно взял 1ое место. Junko Sato She’s probably under a lot of pressure not to mess up cause this is a press conference for an international competition. She also had to do the translation on the spot so she probably prioritized making the sentences grammatically correct.
清娇张 I guess her English could have been smoother/more grammatically correct... but it is very hard to translate when under pressure... I had to translate a speech by a principal from an exchange school in front of my whole school and honestly it was terrifying and there were only ~350 people and zero film crew. I’m pretty sure I messed up a lot... hehe
I'm not so concerned about grammatical mistakes and such, I'm a bit disappointed some of Yuzu's comments were not
accurately transferred to the English speaking people out there.
@@cyl_linder I believe for this event this big, they need to hire one experienced professional translator. Yes, the one next to Yuzuru is paid for translating and she did poorly in this one.

Hes strong tho, he already goin up n down in his skating career, even his rink n home town crashed by a natural disaster, a bloody accident with han yan, lost his world medal for his bf javi, got his second olympic title by hang in pain killer bcs hes indeed injured that time etc, but hes survived all of that..he already accomplished alot. So for now on no matter what happen hes always being hanyu the GOAT just like what nathan said.

His surname/family name is hanyu..his real/given name is yuzuru..usually in jp he is called hanyu yuzuru as japan tends to call people by surname first..in western countries and international competition they usually use real name first then surname thus yuzuru hanyu..hope it helps..
Yep they are right. Also the standard internationally is to put the family name in all caps and the given name in lower case if ever you are wondering which is which :)!
