I just watched him in The Outsider. Always been a fan of his but never knew he was Australian. So funny hearing his actual accent. You can't even tell in his movies. His accents are perfect.
Ben Is the best & absolutely have loved him since The Henderson Kids with Kylie Minogue back in the 80's. Hands down the best Australian Actor next to Hugh Jackman.
This guy is awesome I love all his roles! He nailed it in "The Place Beyond the Pines", "Killing them Softly", "Bloodline"...all were awesome!! I thought his best performance was 'Killing them Softly'
I have seen Ben Mendelsohn in movies from the mid 90s when he was in his mid twenties. He had a lot of black wavy hair and he has the most beautiful blue eyes.
He is in an Australian film called "The Big Steal" made in 1990. Its a comedy and he is a good guy in it.He plays a slightly awkward teenager in high school trying to win the affections of the beautiful, popular girl . In fact, he mainly played good guy roles until "Animal Kingdom" in 2010. That film got him noticed in Hollywood . But just before tht he had a rough patch where he couldnt get roles for some time. Its great to see him succeeding and getting more widely known now .
That was a slow burning, amazing movie, but didn’t get great reviews. I guess most people are into cartoon acting and not character acting these days. Great chemistry with Ryan Reynolds too.
Awesome actor. Perfection in doing accents must be a sign of a great. Amazed by his royal British accent in Darkest Hour and his Dark Knight rises accent.
Happy B-day Ben Mendelsohn. Your incredible. Really. I love The Dark Knight. It's super awesome, love the action. Same for Star Wars The Bad Batch, Rogue One A Star Wars Story and Spider-Man Far from Home is awesome. I love all Star Wars... ...all of them r my first favorite movies... ...all of them. Episode 1, 2, & 3 was my childhood. May the Peace be with u Ben Mendelsohn. From Harlingen Texas. April 3, 1969 April 3, 2023 through April 3, 3023
I first saw him as Danny Rayburn in Bloodline. Such a great role he played! I’m always shocked to hear his Aussie accent vs his Southern-ish drawl in Bloodline.
Jimmy: How old were you when you started acting? Ben *with his Australian accent*: Fourteen. Jimmy: Four days old? Ben: No- *switches to American accent* Fourteen.
Ben Mendelsohn played roles like Sean Penn (school days) did but on Australian TV and movies, he played the silly school boy, but in that movie there was a seen that I am sorry to say that most boys and maybe girls do - the scene was at a shopping center and Bens character is looking around saying "I would do her, she's alright, 8/10" the point to this, nothing but Ben is another great actor doing well in the big world.
I know he’s Australian but I have yet to see him in a movie where he doesn’t have an American accent Also I’ve seen him in a crapton of movies and he plays a lot of characters other than a villain, land of steady habits, slow west (ignoble but not evil), Mississippi grind, place beyond the pines (also ignoble)
Fun little fact about Benny boy: He has a thing where, when he's on set, he's allowed to flip a table and break a heap of stuff in order to relieve whatever stress he has inside of him. True fact. The sad part is, the poor cleaners and best-boys have to clean up after him.
An underrated actor! I love every role he plays. Very menacing and stern in character, but kind, polite, and friendly in person!
MegaRedemption 🏹 💯
What did you think about him in Cosi?
He was outstanding in Bloodline.
I’ve always had a crush on this man, he’s a phenomenal actor and seems extra cool

I met him years ago working on an Aussie film, he's a sweetheart.

Tracksuit pants

This dude is so Aussie it's bursting out his ears
@Arty Bookworm okay you know for a fact that not all australians act like this. he is an eccentric guy
i know right. i watched captain marvel and his accent was coming out
@@JH-mo7xm That was part of the point. American accent for his American cover and the Aussie accent for his Skrull form.
🤣
Have had a crush on this guy for 25 years... still can't work out why.
Charisma
Yes
I love how Ben, after saying "Foahdeen" in his Aussie accent, and Jimmy misunderstands, launches in to his faux-American accent, "Four-TEEN."
He also has a lisp
He said fourteen. All y'all have the accent
This guy is so talented. Loved him in bloodline
He was sooo good, I was so pssed off when he got killed off. Sorry for anyone who hasn’t seen it

"How old were you when you started acting?"
"Fourdeen."
"Four days old...?"
"No, FOUR-TEEN."
LMAOO
I know what a cutie pie... That accent is Killin me...
Bruh that's like normal for us here in Aussie.. if anything when he 'corrected' it, it sounded off for me 😂😂
Nailed it. The best part of the interview. LOL!
I thought he said 4 days as well. 😂
What a pair of guests. Two awesome Australians. Two of the best actors in the world right now.
Definitely my favorite part of Rogue One
The one thing I was distracted by when I was watching Captain Marvel was "this dude is an Australian Alien" lol
I just watched him in The Outsider. Always been a fan of his but never knew he was Australian. So funny hearing his actual accent. You can't even tell in his movies. His accents are perfect.
He's so talented and Handsome ! We need more movies with him ! Vilains are the best ! Go ben!
04:53 anybody else noticed how in fact he *did* in a way explain what will happen in Captain Marvel?
Dan Redding he gave us the hint...
Huge crush on Ben. Just watched Lost River. He should do more sort of leading man roles.
Ben Is the best & absolutely have loved him since The Henderson Kids with Kylie Minogue back in the 80's. Hands down the best Australian Actor next to Hugh Jackman.
Faarrrkkk that's going back.
Anything he does he is so good at.
🙋♀️
The Big Steel with Claudia Karvan check it out it's an absolute Aussie Classic.
This guy is awesome I love all his roles! He nailed it in "The Place Beyond the Pines", "Killing them Softly", "Bloodline"...all were awesome!! I thought his best performance was 'Killing them Softly'
“Be careful not to choke on your aspirations, Director.”
Mostafa Mosly, lucky it’s Ben! 🌼
Ben is brilliant, loved him in "The Big Steal" made in late 80s or early 90s. One of the best Aussie movies ever made. Very underrated.
Thanks for your continuous love and support @cxw5412❤️❤️
For how long have you been a fan of mine @cxw5412??
Spotswood is a gem also.
I have seen Ben Mendelsohn in movies from the mid 90s when he was in his mid twenties. He had a lot of black wavy hair and he has the most beautiful blue eyes.
His performance in bloodline was incredible! He was fantastic he must receive a price for his interpretation
I love him! He's so down and just straight up chill. 😄
Gotta lover Mendo, so glad to see his success in Hollywood after toiling away in Aus for so long.
He was the best thing about the film... apart from Goose
Mendelsohn wasn't really the villain!
"You come from a line of prisoners.."
That's why he plays such good bad guys!
I first saw him in Animal Kingdom, absolutely fantastic actor
The Year My Voice Broke is a very sweet coming of age movie that I hope more people will watch now. ^_^
Best coming of age movie ever made. Anywhere.
Animal Kingdom, Exodus, Rogue One, Ready Player One - just a few movies to watch because Ben is in them 📽🍿🤩😍
And dont ever forget bloodline...his hest
Best i mean
@@farrelmukhesh I haven't seen Bloodline - guess I'm watching it tonight 😉
I just watched him in Mississippi Grind. Amazing performance by him and a great movie.
That's how he got involved with Marvel. The directors of Mississippi Grind are doing Captain Marvel and asked Ben if he wanted to play the villain.
Great great movie. He is great... watch him on bloodline if you can
That was a slow burning, amazing movie, but didn’t get great reviews. I guess most people are into cartoon acting and not character acting these days.
Great chemistry with Ryan Reynolds too.
I'm watching him, on Netflix, in The Land of Steady Habits. His character is super relatable!
Brilliant in anything he’s in.
Really good actor.
He was so good in Bloodline, such an under rated show.
Bloody Aussies why are they always so charming.
One of my favorite actors. I wanna see him in mor movies to be honest.
Gimme, gimme! A brilliant actor and intolerably sexy. Hope he will do theater, too.
Mark Raffalo is Marvel greatest villain at press conventions of the movies 😂😂😂😂😂😂
and Tom Holland is his sidekick
Spiderman and Skrull 😂😂😂😂
I walked past Ben Mendelsohn in Toronto four days ago during the Toronto International Film Festival
Yeah he's Skrullin'
And, judging by his high-top oxfords, he's probably also gellin'. :)
He made me laugh so hard in captain marvel. He was brilliant.
Thanks for your continuous love and support @sarahlawless❤️❤️
It's great they showed his laugh
from in The Year My Voice Broke.
He does it a few times & it's really infectious.
I´ve been watching this guy for years in movies supporting more popular though not so interesting actors. Why isn´t he super famous yet?
Completely underrated
He has the perfect voice 😍 Perfect for villain characters
Awesome actor. Perfection in doing accents must be a sign of a great. Amazed by his royal British accent in Darkest Hour and his Dark Knight rises accent.

Seeing him here makes you realize why he won an Emmy for Bloodline!
discovered him in the outsider (never too late) sooo suprised he is wayyyy more funny irl aha so cool
This man is a charm 😚
His best film was Animal Kingdom
Him having to switch to an American accent is beyond cute and just deepens my growing crush on him!!!
Ok after discovering him from The Outsider by HBO, his Australia accent is scary. His American accent is on point though...
He didn't start off playing the villians. Check out his earlier movies like The Big Steal!
Mullet is my favourite. A great anti-hero character for him. And a fantastic soundtrack.
Lol he was in Henderson Kids he had a little mate called “brains” I loved that show when I was a kid
Taxi driver is the second of my top two I just became a way bigger fan of this man 😂😂
Lol! He is my new hero. He's an awesome actor. I am looking forward to seeing him in a lot more good or bad..
Ben Mendelsohn says "14" cooler than anyone out there

Omg Ben Australia’s finest 😂
Love this man. So talented ❤❤❤
Ben is so gorgeous, thank you Jimmy k. for finding the clip of that movie! lol
For the love of god please stand still for one second
The guy is shy and nervous when interviewed, it's normal for him to move that much, either way he will stay quiet...
You can take the man out of Aus but you can never take the Aus out of the man 😅 love him
Every film this guy is in, he gives watershed performances.
