With the sad passing of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, on 9th April 2021, my lovely friend Gayle and I decided we wanted to honour his life and pay our respects to him, Her Majesty the Queen, and the rest of the royal family and his friends. There is much to celebrate in his wonderful life.
Gayle runs 'British Sovereigns and Royals', and is an expert on the British Monarchy. I thank her for sharing her knowledge on a man so few of us really knew enough about. He did a great and long service to the United Kingdom, and will be sorely missed.
Our talk bought both tears and laughter, all meant in the best of love and respect. We would both have loved to meet the Duke, and maybe Her Majesty the Queen one day. Our thoughts are very much with her at this sad time. We hope Prince Philip approves.
