I had one years ago but with an aftermarket Beetle shell. No idea the make of that but never had any problems with damage. It was a tough as old boots. Perhaps find other 1/18 bodies and get busy with that Dremel. Good vid, and great to see a forgotten car remembered.
They were replaced under warranty from my local hobby shop. However I noticed no difference in speed compared to the stock motor and esc setup. This thing rips!!!
Anytime. Only thing I recommend is to avoid hitting things poor car is so small and so fast it tends to bust bodies and shock towers all the time. Did you order the brushless version?

Rpm front bumper is a must. Love these cars tho. So quick and nimble
