The only change I would make would be placing the ER small Lasers in between the Large Pulse Lasers. That way both energy hardpoints for the LPL are the both on top and the ERSML is the lowest one. Better for peeking!
Load the weapons in the arms thusly: LPL ERSL (or ERuL) LPL That will put the LPL in the higher two arm hardpoints. The order goes: middle, lower, highest.
I went a bit astray from the +2 HSL and went 3 Large Pulse in the right arm and 4 ER Med in the left and head for a better mid range punch. And a targeting comp 2 for the extra zoom and range.
Hey there it is, that fight did make it onto youtube! I was the urbie that got insta gibbed so early, because nobody else would go into the circle. (HauptmanT) Good to know it was at least Baradul to strip that shoulder in one shot. Now I dont feel so bad.
I find that I am less prone to wasting hits into my cover when my arm mounted weapons are visible from the cockpit. It is one of those things that really colors how I feel about some mech designs.
I won the Collector's Pack on the 20th during NGNGtv's Preview Stream, and I'm super excited to tinker with them once Daeron/Bombadil comes back. I'm going to be working on skilling up my other mechs for Faction Play in the meantime, but I'm bookmarking this and a bunch of TTB's videos for when I get the pack injected into my account.
Would probably be better if you put the ERSL before the LPLs in the arms, that pushes the LPL up to the slightly higher mounts so you can hit stuff a bit more easily. Would look somewhat uglier from 3rd person when firing, though. That MRM80 Marauder might be doing the LE325, Light Ferro-Fibrous build suggested on Grimmechs's build database. There's not much else you can fit on there, surprisingly, even with a LE300 or so.
Interesting build Baradul. I would have never thought to throw in 3 ER smalls in the unused energy hard points. It's a shame you have to downgrade the ferro-fib armor to standard since the Rifleman IIC needs all of the survival that it can get until PGI fixes the hitbox issues. I was running mine with 19 DHS but it's honestly bare minimum and it ran really freaking hot. Downgraded the armor, gave it an additonal DHS but I'm running mine with a er medium in the head and a tcomp 2 in the torso. I'm finding that the higher crit chance and slight range boost helps the mech by a ton since the armor isn't there.
Ferro doesn't change your protection level, only how much weight it costs for a given level of protection. You can still easily mount full armor (except on the cockpit and legs, which are usually safe places to strip armor from anyway) on the Rifleman IIC because tonnage is less needed than critical slots on an all-energy build that needs as many heatsinks as it can get.
Are you questioning Bara's build or mech in general? Because if you're talking about his build then XL235 is the biggest engine you can put in this mech, it's not a matter of tonnage.
@@Rodzynus oh gee, I thought all the rifleman variant had same engine limitations as the ballistic one... Of course PGI crippled a mech that would be awesome otherwise...
Clan weapons don't have the standard variant. ER lasers need to be held on a target for a larger amount of time to keep the damage focused when compared to pulse.
I'm curious as to why you tend to favor the specialty/loyalty variants. You (and other MWO streamers) never seem to have any C-Bill issues. Am i missing something or is there just such a thing as never enough C-Bills?
Fun fact: In an emergency (or if youre feeling greedy), structure can be used as an alternative to heat sinks!

Great comms both games. That will always help tipping the balance in your favor :)

Even with the low engine cap, this is a variant I really like. Maybe, when it's out for c-bills..

My favorite rifleman so far. Just tons of dmg output. So fun great build.
At 9:30 I was like "who's Charlie the Rifleman? I hope he's OK"

That sounds awesome hope you had fun
Blood Rage indeed. Holy shit.
This just sounds like the stock rifleman iic sans Jumpjets, added small lasers and heatsinks
Now that is one pretty Mech!
That double wielding gun mecha tho

Double the Brios, double the action and excitement :-)
With it's big goofy hat/head and these bright paint jobs, this mech looks like a Mega Man enemy. Like a mid boss or something.
I think it looks Rastafarian
the droid with lando calrissian
Isn't four LPLs the mech's stock loadout?
Thanks for the vid sir.👍🏼👍🏼

@@nothingface762 Ah yeah, I forgot ferro-fib and standard have the same armor point values at the time I made this comment.
about the first game... you cant lose teh objective if there is noone to take it
Wow, I've never seen the tip of a laser passed its maximum range
I feel like you're playing so hot the smalls could be traded for another CDHS
I am confused by the small lasers... An XL255 could have fitted the mech without the small lasers for that essential speed you need in qp.

Holy crap the arms are super long on this mech!
thats cause they have a quirk on them, if your within 5m of another mech swiping rigth to left bitch smacks em =)
I'm pretty sure that build would do alot better if it was divided 1 & 2 between LA & RA. Isn't the heat threshold for LPLs 3? Or was it 2?
Look at 0:30 - the whole Point of the Build is that this Variant has an 2 ERLPL HSL - so absolutely no ghostheat. Still hot of course.
It's like someone gave pit droids from Star Wars some big laser rifles.
@@tearstoneactual9773 They should make a warhorn with the pit droids' vocals!
Fun fact.. cant rate the video??!!
but bara no problem
The Windows notifications are silly even with "game mode" enabled. "Hey, are you interested in this thing that you declined a thousand times already?"
Anyone else notice high CPU/GPU usage while playing this channels videos lately?
Noob Question: Why Pulse Lasers? Why not Standard or ER?

Putting laser vomit on an 8Q? /sadface
so much heat build up from one volley though
Look. I'm a simple man ... I see a stupid hat ... I calls it as I sees it.
What I can't figure out is why they stuck a pit droid head from Star Wars on top of it
