I changed allready a few months ago 🙂 and it works great but you have to check regularly for updates of every component (almost 3 daily )
Which one is the best homebridge app ?
@@ErkanGulme Homebridge is no app it makes it possible for homekit (on your iPhone or Mac) to connect with iHost
I've followed all your steps, but when I connect it to Homekit, it doesn't add any accessories. It only add the Homebridge. What I'm doing wrong?
Is this still the case? I think it happened with me first time as well. I though I did something wrong, but later when I came back the devices were all there. You see all the accessories in Homebridge?
isnt the ihost a Matter Bridge to begin with?
Homebridge integration came first, Matter is only a recent addition. But I think the Matter spec is still limited to devices like plugs, switches and lights, so it will be able to sync less devices than HomeBridge.
Can i cast all my sonoff wi-fi and zigbee devices from ihost to apple home ?
Yes
Yes, and you might use "non-sonoff" devices as well, although that's a bit off "trial and error" because some of them will work and some of them won't. There is a manufacturers list on the internet te be found. (but i'm not allowed to put a link here)
@@dejanzlov2648thanks
@@johanfernhout9180thank you. İ have a ihost but was not shure about that ! 👍🏻👍🏻
You may loose some functionality. For example I don't think apple home handles power consumption so devices like the POW only comes through as a regular switch.
