  • Retired Navy Adm. William H. McRaven has written a new book called, “The Hero Code: Lessons Learned from Lives Well Lived.” McRaven knows about heroic deeds, having directed the 2011 U.S. Joint Special Operations Command mission that killed terrorist leader Osama bin Laden, and overseeing the team that rescued Captain Richard Phillips, whose ship was captured by Somali pirates in 2009. Now the best-selling author is focusing on everyday heroes he’s met in his travels, from the armed services to hospital ERs, to college classrooms. 13:20 The one million dollar question! You know the interviewer is prepared and thoughtful when he asked this question, and you know the Admiral felt the weight of the question when he took a pause before giving answer.

I do not understand this man. He praises bravery on on the battlefield by young men & women, but he would deny the the 2nd Amendment right of self defense on a college campus to all of us. You have made your bed Admiral, now lie in it.

Is that for private or public universities? I can understand it on private university campus's that have their own police forces.

You don't let a child holding a gun. Many of the so called adults doesn't have enough maturity to hold a gun. He's not against civilians having guns, he just wants the ones who do so met certain requirements (e.g. maturity, mental stability).

@@stevebratten6592 The maturity of a person is not determined by his/her biological age. You see that a lot in life. Possessing a gun need a mature personality, which could not be proven just by showing an ID.
