  • TIN 1 is Pt. 6 of my one-pocket-sized survival kit system, video series. It's designed to be small enough to carry every day [since disasters can strike out of the blue and anywhere], but Tin 1 is opened ONLY in case of an actual emergency, i.e., it is NOT for everyday, common access or routine tasks. It holds over 60 items.
Note: TH-cam says my annotations may not show on cellphones, tablets, and TV devices, (or if viewed full screen ?), and pop-ups must be allowed in your browser settings to watch the interactive videos offered.

The "Belowground still", pg 65-66 of FM 21-76 PDF, is the sort of "solar still" I was describing in the video using the telescoping straw as tubing, to make drinkable water. [By using a large bucket to construct the still, one can also desalinate salt water when stuck at sea on a life raft, I'm told.]

My thanks to the many survival pros I've learned from, including John D. McCann, Doug Ritter, Creek Stewart, and John "Lofty" Wiseman, [Check out their useful sites and books!] but also the many TH-camrs I've borrowed ideas from too. Some day, you folks may literally save my life, thanks to one of these useful techniques!
