#StrongerThanStigma

Bring Change 2 Mind, in partnership with Brandon Marshall’s Project 375, launched #StrongerThanStigma to raise awareness around the unique challenges that men face when discussing mental health, to encourage open dialogue, and to promote help seeking behavior.
#StrongerThanStigma features four inspirational male figures from professional sports leagues, television, and the music industry who have made mental health advocacy a part of their platform. These headliners are Brandon Marshall, NFL All-Pro wide receiver for the New York Jets; Ben Scrivens, NHL goalie for the Montreal Canadiens; Michael Angelakos, lead singer of indietronica band Passion Pit; and Wayne Brady, comedian and actor. Each shares his story, and encourages men to start the conversation and end the stigma.
Mädchen Amick is an actress, wife, and mother of Sylvester Time Amick-Alexis and Mina Tobias Amick-Alexis. She rose to fame as Shelly Johnson on Twin Peaks, and has also appeared in Gossip Girl, Mad Men, Damages, and Californication, among other shows, and starred as Wendy Beauchamp on Witches of East End.
Sylvester, a musician, went through four years of multiple hospitalizations and rehab centers before receiving a proper diagnosis and finding the right balance necessary to manage his Bipolar Disorder. Sylvester and Mädchen have opened up about their family's story to "erase the stigma around mental illness and have an open and brave conversation about how important mental health is for everyone."
