Would love to see a bit bigger (maybe a bunkhouse) that has a lot of these features--4 season pkg, no carpet, KING BED. I'm looking for good camper I can use with my Ford Ranger (factory tow package 7500lbs), but this one is on the shortlist.
A small t/t has some large benefits. Less expensive truck to tow it; less gas, overall cost to maintain. It can go to those destinations others can only dream about; Nat'l Forrest.
LOVE this layout! This is as big as we could go because of where we park it. Found it first with GD, but like this better in every area except tank sizes. Really wish Jayco would put this floor plan out, would prefer it in Jayco, but might have to bite the bullet and try a cougar...

Love the darker floors. It's gonna be my FT home . I live in Texas and summers are BRUTAL, 2 a/c's ?? Extra Winter & summer pkg.is great. Last yr we had lots of SNOW & -32* for days. That's not Tx. This has gotta be one of the best "new" concepts in awhile. I really like that you touched on this being like a moterhome, when I was a kid my grandparents had bought a class c that had almost this exact floorplan in a no slide layout. Before class C's trended towards having a bed in the back as well as the overcab bunk they were really roomy. As someone who is still young I would love to see some more classic motorhome floor plans come back someday.

Yeah it will generally work for most have tons. Know that as you get closer our team is always happy to make sure we’re putting your safety before the sale in return for the fair shake it working with you when you’re ready

I got a keystone cougar 27SAB and I’m currently winter 2020-2021 camping in MN, so far (with all water working) we had no problems reaching to -25F, and several days with sub zero temperatures with no issues at all. Watching great comments makes us very happy with our recent purchase
We've had folks survive polar vortexes in their Cougars in Michigan without issue. They're braver than me, but Cougar REALLY seems to have a heavy cold camp package

I pretty much love everything about this camper. The layout is awesome, king bed, the kitchen layout has so much room, everything’s accessible with the slide in. I think this is my favorite layout of all. Love it!! You were in rare form making this video.
I said in my december/january update video I was going to try to be a little more fun again. 2020 took it out of me and I felt like a Robot walking thru a haze I have no real complaints. Obviously our industry is doing well and unlike some others my family is in no danger of losing their business. When I realized I was being a sulky teenager who didn't really have it all that bad I started smiling again :)
Love it. Love it so much I can live with the few niggles I have with it. Reminds me of what a buddy and I did to a huntin' camper: gutted it and turned it into one big room and one bathroom. Love the King bed. Love the open plan. Love the windows on the door side, the cold package, and the 60/30/30 water tanks. Love that my Expedition won't know it's there.

I love that floor plan so open I only see one tiny thing that could be improved and that is to make the slide out 1 foot deeper to give you more floor room I would pay the extra money for it but I would still buy this unit hands down!

THIS IS THE ONE and it's a cougar with all the cougar yippee. I fell in love with this layout (Grand Design) and I've been wanting this layout, but not a Grand design. Thank you Cougar. You asked if thereis anything missing....just two, UUUtensil drawer and when you lift up the bed....It's not a freedom express. Everyone does it different.

I like this one I put it on my list what I like is when the slide closes you can still enter and use the bed refrigerator and bathroom, What I would like is a outside grill and fridge.
wow this camper is set up fantastic. it would be nice with an outside griddle hook up. add the solar, the wifi and it's all there. I do like the seating and the dinette. the kitchen has plenty storage and room. they did good on this one.

My wife and I began our RV/camping addiction with our present couch and dinette floorplan and most likely would still be continuing with it. This camper is too cool and with a king size bed to boot! I know focusing on size and especially weight for smaller to medium tow vehicles is the key with this rig, but it would be nice to have maybe a slightly deeper slide on the recliner side. Otherwise pretty much a perfect camper for everything you could need and want! Yes you're correct, this is a GOOD one!
Josh, just for fun, you should get video of you talking inside different campers with steam from your breath showing (from it being wintertime) Then edit that into a review in the summer, remarking how incredibly chilly the 15k upgraded a/c makes the unit... Oh yea, and for summertime effect, you may have to be bare chested and in a speedo... BTW, that Cougar floorplan is really nice!
Hey "BROTHER" a Hulk Hogan reference. Since you do that so well. LOL. This is a SWEET travel trailer. I just started talking to Bill your sales guy about some of your 1/2 ton offerings. My wife and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, this floor plan. The kitchen being separated like it is gives two cooks plenty of room to work. Also the 22 foot vs the 25 foot floor plan gives my wife towing piece of mind!! Very important. If momma is nervous everyone's nervous. If ya know what I mean. Shadow puppets aside.... LOL I love this floor plan and I personally love the open Floorplan. The ONLY thing I would change if I could would be to flip flop the toilet and the vanity. Putting the toilet directly ahead as you open the door by the shower and then the vanity on the left with medicine cabinet above still... then have cabinetry/maybe a drawer under sink. I think that open up the bathroom a little more. I agree, it is an amazing couples trailer and it could really be a full timer too!!
So you know we have your Castaway set as both a "Premium" and "Featured" ad for maximum exposure on the listing sites. She's priced right. She's just a special piece that needs the right special person.
Really like the floor plan. A great couples camper. My wife and I are currently in a jayco Jay flight 21QB. Sometimes we think we would like the added space of the slide. We did remove our dinette and installed a recliner loveseat. Much more comfortable than the dinette to sit in. The only place the cougar loses is on the tank sizes. They should really put 40 gallon black and gray tanks in this size trailer. Are jayco has 80 fresh, 40 black, and 40 gray. One of the things we really love about it for boondocking. Really enjoy your vids on the trailer walkthroughs! Keep it up!
Josh, you keep making me change my mind here. Lol 😆 Yesterday I was convinced on Rockwood, today it is Cougar. While this model is awesome, I don't like the osb under the bed. They have high-end night shades, but cheap pleated ones by the bed. No drop down table, that would need to be changed out too. No fantastic fans. While Couger is almost there they quit the race at the finish line... Cougar isn't doing Cougar things here. Love the lay-out though, and the total weight and tongue weight. This would be considered still. Tomorrow we will be back to Coachman Freedom Express. Thanks Josh! Like those other people said the other day. I'm coming to Haylett when the time comes.
Well, you got my attention! So many good things going on here. True travel accessibility. This tics so many things on my wish list: travel accessible, king bed, 12v fridge, porcelain toilet, larger shower (I hate radius showers) great kitchen space and campside windows. The only downsides are floor vents and that carpet beside the bed. Cougar really hit this one out of the park. 😍

Part 2..... As far as the placement of the refrigerator goes it's just the worry of the constant movement on the slide and the fear that it might get damaged.

You'd likely prefer Cougars then! All are standard with the same bed!

Love my 22RBS with a king. But it's a smaller king. At 6'2 I would still want it longer.

This is getting pretty close to my dream layout. We've had our Keystone Cougar for almost 12 years and LOVE IT. I wish it had an outside kitchen area.

I like this one I put it on my list what I like is when the slide closes you can still enter and use the bed refrigerator and bathroom, What I would like is a outside grill and fridge.
wow this camper is set up fantastic. it would be nice with an outside griddle hook up. add the solar, the wifi and it's all there. I do like the seating and the dinette. the kitchen has plenty storage and room. they did good on this one.

Great RV and def a contender in 2021 with the beautiful offerings, size and very well thought out floorplan! My wife and I began our RV/camping addiction with our present couch and dinette floorplan and most likely would still be continuing with it. This camper is too cool and with a king size bed to boot! I know focusing on size and especially weight for smaller to medium tow vehicles is the key with this rig, but it would be nice to have maybe a slightly deeper slide on the recliner side. Otherwise pretty much a perfect camper for everything you could need and want! Yes you're correct, this is a GOOD one!

Hey "BROTHER" a Hulk Hogan reference. Since you do that so well. LOL. This is a SWEET travel trailer. I just started talking to Bill your sales guy about some of your 1/2 ton offerings. My wife and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, this floor plan. The kitchen being separated like it is gives two cooks plenty of room to work. Also the 22 foot vs the 25 foot floor plan gives my wife towing piece of mind!! Very important. If momma is nervous everyone's nervous. If ya know what I mean. I will be contacting Bill and adding this to our must see list. Great review. Thanks as always.....

I love this floor plan and I personally love the open Floorplan. The ONLY thing I would change if I could would be to flip flop the toilet and the vanity. Putting the toilet directly ahead as you open the door by the shower and then the vanity on the left with medicine cabinet above still... then have cabinetry/maybe a drawer under sink. I think that open up the bathroom a little more. I agree, it is an amazing couples trailer and it could really be a full timer too!!

Really like the floor plan. A great couples camper. My wife and I are currently in a jayco Jay flight 21QB. Sometimes we think we would like the added space of the slide. We did remove our dinette and installed a recliner loveseat. Much more comfortable than the dinette to sit in. The only place the cougar loses is on the tank sizes. They should really put 40 gallon black and gray tanks in this size trailer. Are jayco has 80 fresh, 40 black, and 40 gray. One of the things we really love about it for boondocking.

Josh, you keep making me change my mind here. Lol 😆 Yesterday I was convinced on Rockwood, today it is Cougar. While this model is awesome, I don't like the osb under the bed. They have high-end night shades, but cheap pleated ones by the bed. No drop down table, that would need to be changed out too. No fantastic fans. While Couger is almost there they quit the race at the finish line... Cougar isn't doing Cougar things here. Love the lay-out though, and the total weight and tongue weight. This would be considered still. Tomorrow we will be back to Coachman Freedom Express. Thanks Josh! Like those other people said the other day. I'm coming to Haylett when the time comes.

Well, you got my attention! So many good things going on here. True travel accessibility. This tics so many things on my wish list: travel accessible, king bed, 12v fridge, porcelain toilet, larger shower (I hate radius showers) great kitchen space and campside windows. The only downsides are floor vents and that carpet beside the bed. Cougar really hit this one out of the park. 😍
I'd probably put a carpet runner on the floor most of the time and forget the vents were there!

@@JoshtheRVNerd Also a lovely model as a matter of fact it's in my top 5! But the new 22mls with the layout of the sink and placement of the stove makes it feel as if it's in a room of it's own. And not to mention you also get your kitchen dinette with the MLS...win win!😁
Part 2..... As far as the placement of the refrigerator goes it's just the worry of the constant movement on the slide and the fear that it might get damaged.
