What you, The President and Abdi fail to realise is what is a Tax Levy. Taxes are mandatory contributions levied on individuals or corporations by a government entity, period. The fact that they may give it back simy means it would be a "Tax Refund"!. NSSF, NHIF, whatever are all forms of Taxes

What president Ruto is asking for is a bond to do the housing project, not a tax. But what he's not committing himself or his government is the interest incurred on all bonds borrowed from the public. The government has several means to raise money for various projects; taxation from taxes, government bonds and treasury bills which is basically the government borrowing money from the public, loans and grants from both local and international financial institutions such as IMF. The president should launch bonds for sale to the public and have a time frame of when the bonds will mature and people will be able to cash out their money plus interest. Diaspora will be keen to buy these bonds and the president will be able to complete his housing project without overtaxing watu kwa ground.

Kenyans are luck to have this highly intelligent president. I have no doubt this president will lead Kenya to a grate economic and diplomatic success. In fact his leadership qualities will inspire and be a roll mode to the new generation (emerging African leaders). I have followed his presentation at the recent Paris summit, he was amazing,..confident, articulate and practical, as an Africa he really made me proud and hopeful for my continent. • @georgeooko3716
      @georgeooko3716 ปีที่แล้ว

@jacksonmunai586, because you contribute to NHIF do you pray that you get sick so that you make use of their service? It is more or less like a church Bishop and pastors all over the place who make followers to believe they are the holiest and are surebet to get to heaven but aren't ready to die.
When your prayers were answered for 15 years, be sure some people were unlucky and had poor health. NHIF helped them in a way, however small.
NHIF suffers a lot from the greed of hospitals, doctors and it's own staff. It is an institution in Kenya owned by the Kenya Government so it can't be an island free of corruption. And if I have heard the President right he wants to win the war of corruption where his predecessors - Uhuru and Kibaki - failed. Let's give him a chance. Let's continue with the NHIF contributions.

If we're talking about parts, maintenance and repairs, agreed..but not on purchasal of new craft. That's a no-go. MOSTLY we're heading in the right direction. He must have read a book about Abraham Lincoln, who, upon becoming President brought his biggest rivals from different political parties (but best men for the job) and appointed them in chief positions in his Cabinet.

The president is telling Kenyans what they want to hear, We kenyans are like women to the politicians, as a man if you can't lie to a woman you'll never marry, so to the politicians they will always lie and President Ruto has mastered that game well😢

'When l came into the office' u were part of the uhuru government deputy president then. Politicians fooling citizens. Why not put the housing fund into sustainable manufacturing sectors. Why not revive manufacturing industries that can sustainably create employment to youths.

What I really think is that we are not being overtaxed...
Other countries that are ahead of us even pay more taxes than we are...
A country's development also depends on it's citizens...
Instead of complaining tax imeongezwa get out of your comfort zone and make more money...
Piga hustle get multiple sources of income...
Think outside the box, learn new skills...
    STEP UP!!!! 😂

for the first time i had time to listen to the president! if it what he is proposing it is not bad! this is keynesian economics! that is if you want to spur growth on the demand side! keynes suggested that to spur growth the government intervenes and creates employment! for him it was to dig roots, infrastructure housing could also be seen as part of of infrastructure! in nssf, the employee contributes maybe 500 the employer also 500 and the money is refunded when someone retires! savings, savings have gone to infrastructure in this case housing and to build houses you employ people so in a way solve unemployment problem among the youth! maybe we should give the president time to! he can use the same methods to raise funds for industrialization if there is proper public participation so that citizens understand what he is talking about!

The president Ruto is not as new president.
He knew the problems and the solutions of the country requirements.
Let us cooperate with him and provides him the supportive ideas and practices our knowledge.
Designing and planning of the periority projects and eventually completing already existing projects according to the development at hand.
To have loan reasonably is not bad but according to the urgent needs of the country.
Then focus on training of technical education and provides the employment as soon as they graduated from technical education.
Focus on Agriculture and train for particular produces.
Have qouta for students and train accordingly.
Productive technology is other area of technical education.
Slow progress is good that has continuity.
Train health service personnels that we need.
Do not for get the importance of security services as well as capable national security personnels as usual.
    Best Regard!
    Uso Mohamed Musa.

This is a good idea if made voluntary. Circumstances of each kenyan are different... Don't legislate to force decency of assisting others... Mr. President this could be your choice of legacy but dont force it on Kenyans ... I don't wish you well in this one at all. May it fail flat😮

Why would the government force citizens to finance the houses for others? If the reason is because they pay taxes for paying salaries ... Then he should leave those not government salaried out of it. The point is make it voluntary and sell the idea to those willing to buy it... Why take my money by force..?

For the University to minimaze the lectures we have to have lecture halls in order to organize as much as the hall can accommodate.
The internet support education is another solutions.
