Seriously, any time I hear 'When You Wish Upon a Star' when I'm in front of the castle, I start sobbing. Luckily I will be there for the 45th anniversary on October 1st this year and as a cast member so my dreams really have come true!
I missed this celebration by a day so I could spend my birthday at home with my family but I will forever celebrate every birthday with Disney since we share the same day. My dream will forever be to work at Disney World and not for the reasons most people would think. I actually want to work in Disney World to bring smiles and share Disney magic. Disney is my past, present, and future and I only wish to share it.Thank you Inside The Magic. This will forever be a special video in my heart.

I am proud to say that I am now living my dream as a Disney Bus Driver and have been working for Disney for the last 9 years. I plan on staying with Disney for many years to come
I don't understand the rivalry people place on Disney World and Disneyland. They are both amazing and unique places to go. Now... It is true that Disney World is bigger, but Disneyland gets the better part of entertainment. I prefer Disney World, but that's probably because I go there mote often. Disney parks aren't about who is the best or biggest. Its about remembering that there is still some magic in the world.

@JeremySheer You're remembering the last 40 years of one of the magical creative happiest places on earth. Stop trying to pick it apart appreciate it for what it is and cherish that you are some place that moment that millions of people wish they could be there. If you ever do go back to the park at the end of the night look at the families leaving that smile in their faces, the twinkle in their eyes, thats why people go there. They've just had one of the most unforgettable days.
Hopefully things will go back to normal the people who will be speaking will probably be crying even now in corona they are still making magic happen even in hard times Walt Disney’s magic still endures

I was not there day of but that year and I got a shirt that says 40th on it. I will definitely be getting a 50th anniversary shirt. I was 10 years old for the 40th anniversary.

@clttl You may not like the regularity, but the tourists usually enjoy it. And WDW is quite a bit bigger than its sister park in California and cousin parks around the world; there are 4 major parks that each get their own parades, shows, live entertainment, and "spring cleaning" phases when the Imagineers go through and decide what gets refurbished, what gets replaced, and what gets restored to the opening day look. That is a LOT of talent to recruit and coordinate!

WDW just loves to exaggerate their stats. WDW does NOT have 62,000 cast members. They laid off thousands back in 2009, as well as outsourced thousands more in key roles like valet, bell services, 3rd shift custodial at the hotels and more. The real number is closer to 50,000-55,000. Regardless, happy birthday WDW!
@JeremySheer To say you're done with park is absolutely ridiculous. Just because they didn't get a new segment in their firework show or didn't have a more grand celebration doesn't mean you should be done with "that park". Magic Kingdom no matter how many times you've been something magical happens every time from Peter pan giving you a high five during the parade, going on Astro Orbiter right during the fireworks, even eating jelly beans at the end of the night just staring at the castle.
@InsideTheMagic considering that was the reason why WDW doesn't do Haunted Mansion Holiday, i guess the same is the reason why if we go in December now, Wendell & Henry STILL sing about whopping Lil' Beauford

@clttl I miss the "Disneymania" Castle Show! I know, it also ran for several years, but it was frequently updated to be kept current and had something more interesting about it than the Castle Shows since then. I feel like the more recent Castle Shows are too "ballad-heavy", with not a lot of up-tempo numbers or excitement. Just lots of slow songs, and princess after princess. Disneymania had something "cool" about it.
Hello is anyone going next year for the 50th anniversary I am going hopefully. Hopefully things will be back to regular then and hopefully there is a party to celebrate 50 years. If I go I will definitely put it on my TH-cam channel.

Im a Disneyland attendee more but WDW knows better Meg Crofton just gave WDW a big hug for its 40th while Disneyland gotten taken out to dinner and a movie and a gift...im the kid saying the mother of the birthday boy is stupid and everyone got him lame gifts ;) i love both parks seriously.....they could of done better.
@JeremySheer Really? Alien encounter, although it was a great attraction it doesn't fit in Magic Kingdom. And for the record Animal Kingdom has nothing to do with Magic Kingdom or it's 40th anniversary. If you feel you can do the same at Disneyland then don't go back to WDW. Clearly you can do the same there you can here, and it be stupid to spend money on something you don't want to do.
Hey there, have you tried "Reveal Travel Deal" (just google it)? I have discovered numerous incredibly cheap hotels as well as flight tickets. This might help you to save money on your next getaway as well.
They not only excluded Pocahontas and Mulan, but isn't Nala a princess too since she married Simba? .....I don't see how it's fair that those princesses are excluded yet Tiana can be there?

my son prefers universal Orlando for his head of sonic how Disney has Nintendo over sega like before in those 80's that wwe's living in like wcw with just the flair dusty feud no one cared about then still cause of global supercard wrestling on espn classic on most phone and cable providers only now
