My heart shattered when i saw that iPad's condition,dang not only is it damaged, it got damaged again after a magic fix. If you got a kid with angry issues, dont let them be like that forever, fix it before it gets worse. And most of all, do not buy them anything expensive like an ipad until they are mature enough to handle it with care.

I don’t recommend using a knife to open up the iPad because when you do, you can damage the housing even more, you could likely break something inside or accidentally stab the battery, damage a cable which means you have to replace it, or worse you may cut the home button cable. And if you replace it, Touch ID will no longer work. Also you break the glass even more when you do it like that and you will get cuts of your fingers. I recommend using heat and suction to open it and use a pry tool to cut the adhesive or lift up the digitizer while heating it up. You may break the glass a little bit more but better than the way you do it.

I've played games and I can confirm that most people don't rage this much, Raging to an extent like exiting the game or taking a brake is acceptable and that's what most do. But this is kid is on a whole another level. If i was the dad i won't let the kid play anymore or just straight up put him up for adoption.
