@fclefjefff4041 not bro slayer are getting ready for a worldwide tour 😤 i got this information from a friend who actually knows Kerry king all his life My friend is also related to anthrax . Don't listen to Kerry king media interviews they are done on purpose to hide that fact that slayer are coming back
They will NEVER find a better drummer than Lombardo. But Tom is awesome, and I've always loved the mischievous little boy smiles when he interacts with the crowd.
Yeah I was worried about Tom, but he definitely surprised me . Last time Tom did a concert he look exhausted , worn out and didn't look like he does now. He looks like he is having fun again and imo sounds better than last time I saw them. He definitely needed that break. I'm glad he took it.
Agrred. It's good that he didn't "let himself go" like Vince Neil (pathetic) or Axl Pose(also pathetic) and Ian Anderson(brilliant but needs some nutritional guidance). Tom definitely sounds "rejuvenated" !!!@@pstx2816
@@pstx2816 Agreed. It's great to see that he didn't fall into that "too much alcohol, and refined carbs, drugs-look " like Vince Neil, Axl Pose, and many others have. He definitely sounds "rejuvenated" \m/
Reunión (2024) La formación para el regreso consiste en la misma del período 2013-2019: Tom Araya en voces y bajo, Kerry King y Gary Holt en las guitarras y Paul Bostaph en la batería.
@@jacobgordon1691 I can't go Thursday, but will be there Friday through Sunday ALL Day. It is supposed to rain a lot during the weekend, but I don't care. 🤘🤘🤘
@@skinnyb8230I saw another video for when they played Angel of Death, and the pits were going crazy. And I think there were two of them. Also, I missed this era of thrash, I’m only in my early 30’s, so seeing Slayer in the 80s was before my time. Trust me, when I go to shows, I lose my mind in the pits and in them the entire show. And I was when I saw Slayer in 2018 as well, their entire set.
@@Kiryu_Kazuma01 I saw that a few times, pits one behind the other with a few rows of people behind them, and I dunno what was farther up in the crowd or off to the other side of the stage. These ended up merging and turning into a pretty large pit. That whole damn place was muddy as hell from a lot of rain in the morning and early afternoon and then if started raining again right before Slayer hit the stage. Mud flying everywhere and that park is wrecked.
South of Heaven tour in Providence, RI was the last heavy metal band to play at The Veterans Memorial Auditorium. We tore it apart....No seats were left with foam after that show. At 54 now it's still on of my fav memories!
Paul is a solid drummer, but for certain tracks it’s particularly noticeable vs Dave. This is one of them, especially the fills when the songs building at the start.
I emulated dave as much as I could plus a bunch of other drummers in the crossover punk / thrash genre in the 80's...and of course Bonham, Ward, Peart, Charlie, Iggor, Glen Evans and so on....Paul IMO is a personal great fit for Slayer as is the legend Gary Holt. Sometimes it's not how clean one plays.....and Paul does get many of DL's fill's very well but the kinship these 4 have built over the years is what's most important. any of you guys that are young and starting out....don't fight with your band mates unless he's doin yer mom!
Every time they play this, it reminds me of this parody version by a band called Sleigher. Play it. It will be the best thing you'll lsiten to today: th-cam.com/video/2txqsxIcdtw/w-d-xo.html
paul is amazing for sure but these yamahas sound horrible. anyone who says paul sux need to go back listen again to his catalogue, he has benante like feet when needed, but Charlie is my fav thrash drummer.
@THRASHMETALFUNRIFFS yeah, he's been doing the improv solos since he joined. I'm not knocking the guy, but it would be nice to hear some of Jeff's solo in there.
The fact they couldn't make a deal with Dave Lombardo for the 3 shows Slayer are doing is bullcrap. Bostaph has been sloppy playing with Slayer since their last tour 5 years ago and more. I love his drumming on certain studio albums but in recent years it seems like he's lost a step live.
Yeah I was hoping Dave would come back too. Not much of a SLAYER concert when it’s only half of the original guys. They should’ve found a way to bring Dave back. Even Jon Dette would’ve been good.
First of all, shy would you bring your kid to this?! Maybe start off slow with Black Sabbath so you don’t have to explain to them that “cunting” isn’t a verb. Second of all, fuck anyone who’s shoulder riding at the most anticipated Metal show of the past five years.
Jeezus, Paul's timing sucks. Playing the parts wrong. No gong or even a double china before the tom fill. And shame on Gary for never playing Jeff's solos.... especially this one.
@@rgshredder570 Yeah, dude. It's absolutely disgraceful to not honor Jeff's parts. I know Jeff's playing went downhill over the years. He drank a lot and got lazy... even in the 90s. But what he put on the records is what we know and remember. They're iconic. And for Gary to just noodle random solos that don't fit and sound nothing like Jeff, I think is a major disservice to him and fans. It's weird cuz I know Gary is a cool guy and was friends with Jeff. If he were to only do one solo correctly, it's Seasons.
They still can't play the second solo part correctly, sloppy like hell. And the drummer is average. If it weren't for Araya vocals and King's solo it would be complete garbage. Drummer and guitarist to replace.
The boy enjoyed the concert as he should, without a cell phone that would rob him of the experience of seeing his favorite band.
Eu pensei exatamente nisso! Esse realmente aproveitou o show 🤘

They sound good, but look at how polite and still the crowd is back in the 80's it would have been a hornets nest up front.
Most slayer fans are old now 😂😂😂
Calm down dude. The old ones’ bodies can’t do it anymore and the young ones have major insecurity issues because they’re addicted to social media.

The old guys were just as crazy still in those pits it was BADASS! SLAYEREERRRRRRRR!🤘
Dude they’re old asf now lol including me lol
They still sound so good, specially Tom, it seems that he was really enjoying it! Killer performance!
Killer sound! Thanks for the video. So glad the guys are back together.
They aren’t back together, they’re playing a couple of festivals for a giant paycheck.
They are not back together
Why no Lombardo? 😢
@isthisnametaken5058 unfortunately Dave will never play with them again

My 2nd fave Slayer song after Spill The Blood. So happy to see them back and Tom having fun!
Nobody can sing Slayer songs better than Tom. They can get a better guitars, better bass, better drums, but his vocals are just something else.
It's a Slayer voice
