    Hearing this it takes me back to the summer of 1983. What would the '80s have been without Michael Jackson? and let's be honest, the 90s 2000s 2010s to now

    I m really enjoying this journey of Michael Jackson on your channel and loving it from heart and soul. most people think that Michael's songs are old-fashioned but it's not true... because he was very bold and fashionable himself in his era. he is known as a fashion icon as well and todays generation also copies his moves, clothes, and style because he inspired generations of generations...

    Michael influenced a whole new generation, so of course bruno mars would be under that generations. Just like chris brown, usher, and even some female pop singers like britney spear and Beyonce and etc.

    As a child, Bruno Mars was highly influenced by artists such as Little Richard, Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson and would often impersonate these artists from a young age.
    Bruno Mars quote: "You aspire to be as great as Michael Jackson is as an artist. I don't think any artist in pop, rock or hip-hop has ever done it any bigger than him. You know what I mean? He's the man."

    You can't listen to the Thriller album without taking Quincy Jones' magnificent production into account. This timeless sound is his work! The Thriller album is a masterpiece of contemporary music. There was a before and an after. The reason it seems so modern to you is that music hasn't managed to reinvent itself since. People like Bruno Mars draw their inspiration from pieces of music from that era. That's why it feels so current. Imagine when we listened to this at the time it was released!!! It was just huge and mindblowing. Nothing was the same after Thriller...

    • @mauricemendoza3241

      People give Quincy to much credit if you listen and hear accounts from producers the songs Michael brought to Quincy for thriller were already in their near finished state the best songs on the album all came from Michael. Wanna be starting something, beat it, Billie Jean. Quincy actually ruined some songs if you have the chance listen to Michaels demo of the girl is mine then listen to the album version Quincy butchered it.

    The world's best musician and dancer Michael Jackson. His style of dancing and singing music never seems childish. He always sang music in deep voice, so his songs are hit and catchy. Moreover he always wrote teachable music. He was the only person in the world who performed dance-music together in front of live audience. May her soul rest in peace"🇧🇩🎵🎧🇧🇩

    as a fan of 37 yrs its so much fun watching u discover his discography is like remembering back in time all that u fell in love with. The tiny details u stop, recognize and highlight are all that make every MJ Fan fall in love and rewind and go yeahhhhh...Michael can sing a love song hahahahahaaaaaaaa....u know how all us ladies laid to this mans feets...?.what a revelation that must have been for u when all u knew is what media fed u...how u point out how s.xual he was and u could literally feel it and they made him seem to be into something else than the ladies...mindboggling nuts, right? when he was able to write songs like these...like songwriters dive into their own feelings and get them on paper...can't wait for "Lady in my life" now..omg another level...the fact that Thriller still sound so fresh made it the best-selling of all times...it never gets old. Timeless, you said it! Why artists today go back and re-hash it

    The genre vocabulary you are looking for is soul, r&b, and pop which are all present here and on this album. He also pulls rock into his later work. One day you’ll get to the duet he did with his sister called “scream” which is a bad ass banger extraordinaire and represented the most expensive video by far ever produced at the time and the money shows in the production quality. It will make you want to 🙃scream (squeal)? 😏

  • @fallcolors
    @fallcolors 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    a lot of what you’re referring to is the synth, the horns and the 4-5 key changes that happen per every verse. in the final chorus the background vocals are Michael harmonizing with himself. I believe it’s a 2 layer harmony where he says ‘girl be mine, tell me that you love me all the time.’ if you really love the song, I would recommend listening to the acapella because then you REALLY get to experience all of the little bits in the background he came up with in the studio.

    Bruno Mars was most definitely influenced by MJ. Most of the pop artists after him were. And also, Uptown Funk was a throwback song that paid homage to early hip hop.
