I really appreciate this video. I just got some used aftermarket rear control arms for my 4runner and had no idea what to do with one of the johnny joints needing replacement due a bolt being so fused in the inner ball we had to cut the bolt ends and leave that shit in. This video is absolutely what I needed since the company of the arms sent me a new ball. Thanks again. P.s. I'm going to buy that tool
you right about about the press taking a bunch of space... lol, Im trying to figure up a place to hide mine to clear up some elbow space. Good stuff Clint, that tool looks much simpler then using the press anyways
Great job. Only one problem with the demonstration. You installed the ball backwards. The ends of the ball are slightly different lengths. The longer leg is marked with a ring at the end. This end is slightly longer and faces the snap ring end of the joint when assembled.
How much is that cool tool from rock jock? Seems like a super useful tool to make things very easy. I don’t have Johnny joints but I’ve got 2 enduro joints from Barnes. Basically the same thing from what I’ve seen.
I wouldn’t have the patience for that shit, lol. Great job! FJB
LMAO!! It's one of those necessary projects bro. I usually have a beer (or 7) while I'm doing this kind of stuff.🤣🤣🤣🍻🤘🏻
Thank you for making this video. Awesome job !
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching and the comment! 🤘🏻

There's a link in the description to the tools. But, depending on size of joint, the tool runs from $110-$120.
What's on the Ol Clint-tube today
You just watched it, bro!🤣🤣🤣🤣
