- Surfers, bodyboarders, bodysurfers, skimboarders charge Sandy Beach shorebreak going off and Hawaiian novelty waves! Kalani Robb, Johnny Redmond, Blair Conklin, GARY, Slow Performance, Shea and myself headed to Oahu for 3 days to attend the illustrious Sandy Beach Red bull FoamWreckers with Catch Surf. We were luckily met with a rare out of season swell for October! This a bit of the action that went down and everyone was CHARGING!

I grew up on this beach. It's so awesome to see Sandy's getting love like this.
Take it from a real quadriplegic that it’s not worth these risks. I’ll never get to surf again. It rips my heart out to hear people joking about getting injured and passing it off as awesome. So jealous. I MISS OAHU!! 😢 ITS BEEN SINCE LIKE 2010. I WAS BORN THERE. MOVED TO SD at 4.(1980) Very little hawaiin blood, but just enough. Many family now all moved to big island and Kauai. Great video's, love it! Ill Kill for Kalanis old locomotion board!!!!!!

as an old dude, it was nice to see basic fun surf being enjoyed without needing pro level skills, on a good day, just to ride the stuff. with what are essentially harmless waves, even an intentionally poor decision is nothing but fun. except, perhaps, to ignore the big rock.

Ahhh Sandys. 🖤💙 About 30 years ago, my friend and I were picking up his sister at the ER in town. When I looked at the ER table I could see sand in the bed rails. I commented to the doctor that it looked like the sand came from Sandy Beach. He said, "We had two broken necks just this week." That wave is a KILLER, literally. But so fun.

Sandys is the gnarliest water I've been in. Felt closer to drowning there than sunset beach!
Awfully short rides, plus the smashup on the beach........jus' sayin'.
I surfed many years in north san diego county. Several good breaks, depending on swell direction and wave height.
Faves were cardiff reef, oceanside harbor, tamarack st in carlsbad. Past tense, as i'm 75 now.....😆🤣😂😉

Clever disguise, what appeared to be an umbrella blown inside out by the wind at 3:12 was, in fact, a space antenna used to signal the Mothership to bring more boards. Clearly, some of the riders have gotten their hands (i.e. feet) on the highly advanced anti-gravity technology from the Shred Galaxy.
P.S. Nice framing of the dental floss model. Flossing is an essential component of a comprehensive and effective hygiene regimen.

I have a funny story about Portlock Point too. I was next in line and chatting with someone with my back to the wall. A swell went underneath us and I didn't realize the rear fin of my board got caught in the cliff face. When the wave went by, I was hanging upside down on the face of the cliff, about ten feet above the water. 🤣 I was like, what is going on and finally dove back in.
