Haven’t seen your face since I was 15 year old and now I’m 27 and I’m still happy to see your face man you brought me back to my younger me
We’re old!
Many thanks, this tab has been helping many people, and now has helped me. Awesome!
Outside of it being Radiohead, you know it's going to be sweet and fun song when the person teaching it says,"You're going to be karate chopping your guitar."
How genuinely friendly is this guy? He can do no wrong. What a legend!
I appreciate the attention you give to open strings. Up for a true Radiohead challenge? Every guitar player fan of Radiohead would be in your debt if you posted an accurate tutorial of "Gagging Order."
Awesome, you really touch on all the details. Emphasis on the up-strumming etc.
Great job.
You sir, are a legend, thanks
MAN! IT'S REALLY PERFECT JOB!
Now I can play this song too!
The sound looks really TRUE!
I didn't know about that E-string, and now I know what to do! You're great! Awesome!
Warren you rock! Most ppl posting tabs on You Tube obviously have no ear, or figure out the most difficult way to play a song. You are also totally devoid of any prima donna wannabe rock star attitude that is prevalent among many posters. You are in for a real treat at the festival. Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much!!! This tutorial help me so much too many years ago and now again.
You're a great teacher
Saludos from México!
Have A Nice Life
I always wondered why this song sounded so fresh. You explain everything so simply.... so refreshing!
Hey warren, just wanted to thank you for this (and the other) tutorial(s). I've learnt faust arp and now am trying this, so much fun!
Just wanted to mention that I'm finding that using your fingers instead of pick sounds cool too, picking like jazz (or bossa) with the occasional extra thumb hit. Either way thank u so much!!
I think they play it with fingers!
you're the best Warren!
Thank you for the tutorial! I've been wanting to learn this song and I just got a capo so now I finally can :)
wooty woot!
Always helpful, many thanks!
fantastic, man. excellent work.
Sweet video man, gonna practice this for a while now.
wow, this is great. Great video keep up the good work

you have a lot of charisma man... thank you for this lesson, now I can play this one to the bone... niiiiice.
Thank you Warren!
This is by far the best tutorial of House of Cards i've seen yet.

Yeah warren you the man!
You're a fantastic teacher.
Well done fella..good job!
I love this man. Total dude. Thanks for that ;-)
Great tutorial, looking forward to giving it a bash
thank you
you're awesome! thanks teach!
Excellent job, well done and thanks for sharing your obvious love of music. Such a great song and chord voicing. I notice radiohead add the b7 tone in there as well - Eb. I love the dropped d sound. Incidentally the same tone and capo position as streets of Philadelphia by Springsteen (i.e. f major scale with more chords) and many acoustic blues dudes past to present. The dropped d gives an indian like drone effect even before all the effects are added by the band. Bw
nice one dude...... much appreciated
great stuff...keep em comin!!
Mome shurc
you're the man!!
thanks
i love youuu thank you so muchhhhhh
Thank you, brother! God Bless 🙏🏼
Thanks so much! Didn't have the patience to figure it out myself :P
You may be right about the fret numbers... I am not typically a fan of convention with regard to tabs, but in my defense, I think it's more important to note the relationship between the capo and the fretted note for relative pitch purposes. Tabs are more descriptive than prescriptive, which is less helpful when it comes to understanding tonality and pitch relationships.
Hi Warren. I've been watching your videos for a while and you amaze me everytime! I wish I can be as good as you someday. I was wondering if you could teach us how to play jonny's part with a coin? That would be awesome! Thank you for all the nice vids!
yeah teach that man!! thanks
Thanx Wozzles...
Cheers for the tutorial, really good. Thanks also for mentioning Brits' pronunciation of capo too, a truly worldly-wise man, obviously. And to the 10 pen!ses who give your video a thumbs down; - what the hell is wrong with you?
point taken... i kinda just record my vids off the cuff (not sure exactly how the form goes even when i learn the song, just try to jam along), sorry
i dunno how to do that editing, i will have to explore... thanks!
Nice capo bro , really want one
Hey, what is the strumming pattern to this? i'm going mad trying to figure it out!
Damn, I shoulda known that it would be complicated to play. I just love the guitar in that song, but it ain't as simple as it sounds.
You definitely nailed it, but can't see myself ever getting there.
That's cool man. I suppose it could go either way. I mean it's your video haha, so you do it how you want, I was just wondering because I had never heard of anyone doing that before.
You rock, thanks for all the Radiohead you've helped me to understand. I'm looking at "live from the basement" and at about 1:56 he's going through a sequence ("fall off the table") that looks like 55050x - 55040x - 55050x - 5x043x before going back to verse chords (sorry, strings 654321) and I'm very unsure about the last chord. Lovely song, curious about your take on that sequence.
I think that last passing chord might be 55001x - the vid makes it look like his middle finger is fretting the 3rd (g) string, but i think it's just sitting there. Also i realised that those high passing chords after the Em chord (222xxx) which are usually tabbed as 12 0 12 0 xx to 13 0 13 0 x x can also be done on an acoustic, imo more comfortably, by going 0 2 0 0 0 x to 0 5 0 0 3 x - which is what led me to the 55001x chord above. Let me know what you think. Have you figured out whether this should be in drop D or full DADGAD or DADF#AD?
i luv u.
hey warren check the basement version
thom makes this whole-chord-vibrato just in every last strumming of the first chord with gives it a magic-shaky tune
he vibs the whole hand in that first chord like every 2 second
@Gamagachee That's not how Thom plays it, but that would sound great, too!
@warrenmusic did i tell u about the whole-chord-vibrato thom does in the first chord the whole time, also in the 'fall of the table guess where..' he does like 6 or 5 chord changes
please check the basement footage u see it's very different, and much better
THE CONNECTION
Sincerely glad that you have got a haircut😂😂😂😊😊😊
great job
You should tab it in your info section
Warren - I don't suppose you would make a video of you just playing the entire song would you? I feel I have the chords down (thx to you) but would like to see the song in its entirety to know exactly where the changes are... It would be a huge help for this amatuer!
thanks for the suggestion, but i think my way is clear enough :)
Hi Warren, Many thanks for your lesson. Great stuff!
I've got a favour to ask. If you look at the recording of this song in the basement at 1:50 there are four chord changes. Tom doesn't play just one chord on the 4th fret like you are showing in the video. Do you think you could figure them out for us, please? Many thanks.
What was that thing you did at 0:45. that sounded really cool.
Back here to check 13 yrs later.. think I got it now .lol
Hell yeah🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
you can master your radiohead tutorials with tablature?
Hey Warren! I'm just trying to play this on Ukulele and was just wondering what the notes where / what kind of chord the "Fall off the table, get swept under" is.. i've got the rest sorted pretty much.. If you could help that'd be great =)
you arew great. how can iplay paranoid android?
@Tommeh101101 yeah right there watch the basement version thom makes 5 or 4 chord changes
Can someone please explain the strumming pattern? It's driving me crazy. I can't figure it out!!!
yeah a tuturial for weird fishes would be awesome
Hey dude can you make a tutorial for weird fishes. its a great song. Please
You do need a bro to help you do camera work and lighting. But you still rock.
i cant find a bass tab for this song please help me :(
Im not quite trained in putting comas into my writings.. explain it to me please why did u put a "," before "too".
@Gamagachee But that's two chords, what about the rest?
yup
yep... your right...
Great video! One quick point though - wouldn't the fret numbers still be the same? The reason being the capo doesn't change which notes come out when you finger chords above it, it simply changes the open notes. So if you're playing the F# in the first chord, it's still the 12th fret on the A string. I wouldn't say it's the 9th. Also I could be wrong, but I think he mutes the D string on that first chord.
Hi warren just to let you know your info section lists this as dadfad capo 8 when you say it's dropped d in the vid. You need to put it right in the description bar. Thanks
After all these years you are the first to catch this, amazing. Fixed! Thanks.
+WARRENMUSIC
My pleasure I really respect what you do and I love the open tunings. Bw.
Ps if you are open to requests please can you do a lesson on singing in the rain by John Martyn it's open C tuning CGCGCE I think capo 5 but I can't get past that much yet.
anyone have a pdf of the chords
I would second that, chord boxes would help
Wish i could see what youre doing or have a orint out
a key party? what is that??? great tutorial much thanks my man! 5 *****
you should move the camera to an angle so we can see where your fingers are moving thanks
a question... the complete's guitar tuning is DADGBD or EADGBD? and the first chord is 090900 -> 070900 -> 000900? thnxs for the answer. PD: obviously with capo at 3°
Please cover this song?
does thom play this without a pic tho?
You asked nicely and I was feeling generous! Now go play yourself silly.
Well done! There are so many bad tabs and tutorials out there. This is not one of them.
Hey Warren, the description says capo 8 but you have capo on the 3rd fret
Changed, thanks! It's been wrong for so many years, can't believe it haha.
very hard songl.
can i use coin trick jonny greenwood on accoustic?
It’s much better with electric and added fx like delay and reverb
How are you muting the two two strings?! ITS DRIVING ME CRAZY'
Thank you.
You basically fret tilted down
I usually just drape the base of my pinky over them. Be careful not to hit the harmonic though.
fuckin' hard, your camera angle sucks...but mate, YOU ARE A LENGEND 'cause this stuff sounds RIIIIGHT!!!
many thanks :0)
but, I actually meant 'lover', not exactaly the heterosoc pretzel we normaly go about, monogamy is a state of mind, not an actual thing.
i think you forgot the verse
"i dont wanna be your friend, i just wanna be your lover"
nice job. you shouldn't change the # of the frets though. They always stay the same regardless of capo or not.
12th fret is Always the twelth fret... etc.
Awesome job Warren. A++
Can you do follow me around? I believe its pretty basic.
