- During a heated Senate education and employment committee hearing, Michaelia Cash, under repeated questioning by Labor senator Doug Cameron, threatened to 'name every young woman in Mr Shorten's office about which rumours in this place abound'.
Labor's Penny Wong said Cash's claims 'can only be described as outrageous slurs about the character of female staff working for the leader of the opposition'.

She really thinks she has him against the wall, but what I'm hearing is that she's been aware of inappropriate behavior and instead of reporting it or trying to stop it, she just held onto it to be used as leverage at a later date. If you are complicit with it, you are just as guilty.

Note how when asked a direct yes/no question she did the usual pollie thing of "answering a different question" and then actually THREATENING the questioning Senator - who was totally unfazed by her sheer audacity & nastiness. If she has any information regarding impropriaty of ANY sort, she should be REPORTING it, not using it as some sort of threat, which appears to be based on whether or not someone was being appointed on a "jobs for the boys/girle" basis.

She was suggesting that ALP leader Bill Shorten has a reputation for sexually harassing his female staffers.
No evidence, no official complaints, just hearsay.
She couldn't answer a question that put her dealings in the spotlight so pulled a "what aboutta" and made threats to expose Shorten unless the questions stopped.
On top of that she thought it was okay to speak on behalf of women who chose not to come forward. AND, like a lot of women, think it's okay to stain a man's reputation on rumours.
