Plot Summary:

Meanwhile, Josie, the handicapped daughter of a wealthy ranch owner, dreams of riding again after being afflicted with polio two years prior. She finds joy in using a cart and pony, which she names Bo.
The story takes a turn when Scott's pony disappears, only to be found by Josie's family and selected for her use. When Scott sees his beloved pony performing in a cart competition at the township fair, he recognizes it as Taff and attempts to reclaim it. The ensuing conflict not only affects Scott and Josie but also divides the entire town. Through a series of events, the children develop a friendship and come to a unique agreement on how to share the pony, while the legal ownership is resolved.

Bet we were all rooting for the boy though. The girl loved the pony but she could have had a new pony the next day if she'd wanted while Taffy was all Scotty had in the world. He didn't even have a pair of shoes to his name! Polio or not, she's a bit of a spoilt brat and a right little bossy boots! She even orders her father about and he just does as he's told. I know we were supposed to feel sorry for her being in the chair but it seemed like her only redeeming feature!

Mmm, could have got a nice quiet old pony for the girl to ride but instead they sat her in her wheelchair in a pen with a young 'wild' pony and considered that safer! She was lucky she didn't get her face kicked in.
There were parts in this movie that were just ridiculous. I did like the pony's character, however.
