Finally! A aero ride!
That red low and long one is very cool 😊
I need that one definitely
Good video but, it’s sad you don’t have the 389 to show anymore. I think Peterbilt made a huge mistake. It’s like the old saying, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. I live 5 minutes away from a Peterbilt dealership in Auburn, Maine. I drive by almost everyday & see the replacement for the 389 sitting on the hill & say it’s the windshield it just doesn’t look right. I mentioned before to your channel that you got to hook up with SH Tube or some fabricator & make a strip to fit the center of the windshield from the inside. As much as you guys do to modify these trucks this should be a cake walk for Tommy & Brian. ❤ your videos & can’t wait for the windshield trim package.👍🇺🇸 Dave D from southern Maine.
We are definitely looking into it 👍 Thanks!
I tend to agree
I was in the yard in Denton at the first of the year watching the 389s go
Now, the 589 is growing on me.
The damn cab is the key
The old trucks were B27s!
The old guys hated to see the 359 go, people said Peterbilt was making a big mistake. Then when they got rid of the 379 people were very upset and now the same as being said about the 389.
International went to a big cab in 2002
Western Star did it in what, the late 90s.
I hate it, but it’s all about cab room and ergonomics
I know because I’ve driven both for my local company for 7 years
Btw, we’re a Peterbilt supplier right by the plant
This wasn't necessarily Peterbilt's fault. The E.P.A. and government cracked down on the trucking industry. Every year, the auto and truck manufacturers are forced to design "more aerodynamic" and "fuel efficient." I don't like the direction of the trucking industry is heading, either. My uncle bought and spec'd out one of the last 389's. Very sad, indeed.
I bought a579 in August been customizing it a little at a time. I like it
I likes this 579 at the beginning of the video.. Beautiful color and great stance...
Being a former owner operator after 30 years being put out to pasture by DOT, (medically retired), the Red Wine Merlot/Burgundy 579 is all I really liked.
A long wheelbase 579 with dual stacks behind the cab just like this (except legendary blue) is the spec I'd go for!
I drive a 2023 579 with an ultraloft sleeper! Nice ride!
Absolutely ! Been driving a 579 about 5 years now . Mid roof , stacks , 18 manual. Good mix of old & new. Love driving it , don’t miss my 389 at all . The soft clutch , visibility & nice short stroke shifter.
Just got a new 2024 , and only mistake is the dash. It’s kinda cool at first but No… just isn’t right. Fixed those sliding cup holders tho , it’s great !
I had a 2016 579 w/80 in sleeper for 5 years. Really like the truck but PACCAR motor 13 speed. Never again PACCAR. X15 perf only. The other gripe had, the sleeper was only 68" not 80". The fallacy is that Petercar measures the sleeper from the back of seat base, NOT from the joint at the back of the cab.
Really do like the 579 290" W/B. Very nice! But I do favor a hood.
The long wheelbase 579 definitely needs Shift Fenders on the back with 8 inch Dynaflex exhaust. Miter cut or turnbacks.
Really good looking trucks. Nicely spec'd. The long low midroof is slick.
I loved my 379 Pete but honestly I wouldn't mind one bit having one of those 379's built. I absolutely love long wheelbase trucks! 300" and above are the ones I love.
I like the silver on and the long wheelbase maroon one.
The mid rise is beautiful! Love the color, and with a Dynaflex kit, 9 cab lights and a visor it would be wicked! Could also chop the top with the stand up like the black truck. Personally I like Aeros vs 589s due to easier driving.
I drive a 579 day cab. Love it❤
I absolutely would. That’s a great truck for what I do..
I like long hoods, aero, cab overs, and euro trucks. Can’t drive any of them but I do like looking at them and watching the videos. Maybe one day I’ll get in a dump truck
I love the color and the wheelbase ❤❤❤
I have a 2024 579 ultra loft I custom ordered and I can honestly say after 108k miles, it’s a solid truck so far. Definitely better than a freight shaker lol. There’s a few things I wish I had done differently but otherwise, can’t really complain. Already started debating on my next truck, been going back and forth on a W9 or 589…. But that stretched 579 low top is pretty slick, got me rethinking a few things lol
I love my 579. It’s not a show truck by any means, and the direct opposite of chromed out. Rides like a Cadillac and with the Cummins under the hood, I’m pulling down fantastic fuel economy numbers on IFTA. Thanks y’all for finally giving us aero guys some attention
Like the one with the long wb Better & put bigg sleeper doors on both sides
Finally an aero! 🤘🏼👏🏼 one day I’ll by myself one!
Valley Chrome had a nice 579 a couple of years ago.
That metalic red 579 with the car hauler front axle you guys need to do up that one. I dig it but up here north of the border we would be plowing snow in the winter. Would be a killer show truck.
I'd rather look at all of the 589's that you have LOL.. Would I drive the UltraLoft ? Hell No. Not if it doesn't have a gear shift.
The red truck is pretty and it does have a ton of room in the sleeper though which is nice. It would be cool if the red truck
that has the stacks could be changed somehow so the stacks were mounted where they are supposed to be, but at least
it does have stacks, and even though they aren't separated, they will both still work.
I wish I could afford the down payment. The long wheelbase 579 ultra cab in the grey ford uses on their raptors with color matched grill surround and bumper, color matched half fenders and rear t bar would look awesome. Of course ditching the skirts and color matching the tanks and putting stacks by the doors would be cool too.
Stacks by the doors on a 579 means you're ok with the driver's side exhaust being fake from the factory. The aftermarket has ways to fix that problem though.
Honestly, “fake” stacks or not hooked up it probably better with the aftertreatment heat. Run dummy pipes and put a four inch amber in the bottom on bright mode and make it look like you’re putting some heat out. Lol. The guys at Fitzgerald have made some systems before on the 389’s work that were redesigns. The work with Chad Berry all the time I’m sure they could come up with something.
If I had the funds I'd for sure let y'all have free range on the stretched 579. For real lol. Course I'm not the only one who would though lol. When y'all get to customize it, it'll look sharp just like all the others.
That red ONE that’s stretched out clean AF
Put some 7inch Miters and shift fenders and few more lights that truck would be perfect. You guys should finish that truck and take it to some shows I bet you would get alot of interest.
The one with the stacks is super clean 😫😫😫
Love the truck I have a 579 ultra loft an wanted to know if you can put the vertical stacks up the back on it like this truck?
When they both talk about the truck going past that didn’t turn the straps I knew automatically they know flat bedding..
I need the long boy truck to put a Jeep on and my RV 5TH wheel. The color is perfect and to slam it down when in campground
im starting to change my style of truck that i like the most! the aerodynamic trucks are starting to look better and they can be customized! especially the 579! the 567 is a mixture of both the classic style truck and the aerodynamic trucks!
I would because I've always been a peterbilt guy love peterbilts
I love that red!
Love that truck, sweet.
I love the color 😍
579’s are the best aero trucks hands down. I’ve seen as many custom 579’s as I have 389’s, the majority flattop or mid roof and done right.
I am sold on the long low red aero peterbilt I really like it I'd keep those boxes on the side
Love the old square nose trucks but I don't understand why more people don't customize these! They look badass lowered and custom. The old school looking trucks were and still are cool but they had their run!
I think that stretched 579 would look Awesome with Stainless 1/2 fenders. You guys never put those on your builds even though you guys build some Bad ass trucks I'm just old school I guess... 👊👊👊
Should have put side exhaust on it, had that on my ‘95 T-6. W/Studio, 4axle
A little long but yeah i would.
I’d drive it for sure
The ultra loft is ultra kool
I am a 379 389 fanatic and the 589 is not even close. The 579 would be my only choice.
put the stacks on the side traditional looking
Good video! Do those 579 trucks have that wheelbase (250) and (290) from the factory?
Yes they do
I have absolutely no use for one, but if I ever stumble into a bunch of money- expect a phone call lol.
Seriously, the red one with the car hauler front axle on it is about the coolest aero truck I have ever seen, IMHO, it's a show stopper.
On a completely unrelated note- what's a kidney going for these days?
That 589 has potential but I’m a Big Hood Guy 389 And W900L but if anyone can make a 589 Bad ass is you guys love watching you guy
Thanks!
Only if you could put a 12.7 Detroit in it with a 13 speed and 3.36 and make it mid roof and have a quite apu! And hell I only paid 210k for my house and 45k for my used vnl64t630 that's a lot for a truck for sure! Saying that they are nice how much for the green cornando?
I would drive one.
Peterbilt 578 would look sick stretched with a long wheel base
Those Yella ones ordered by Bottomley?
I'd drive that truck to every loading dock in America.
Nice trucks great video why don’t you do a custom Kenworth t680
""I WANT THAT 13-SPEED FULLER-EATON, ""DAMNTHAT""!!!!
Imagine it any other color but maroon but yeah that thing is really cool lookn already
Hey love your videos
Question ❓ how much you are selling your Peterbilt long
Nose 389 with a Detroit engine also 13 speed and the color dark blue, white, red
Didn’t knew you can get them with the rear window
Do have one with full side fairings
I'd take it and run!
Low and long 🔥🔥🔥
I have saw a 579 with side stacks and it didn’t look that bad and the love the mid tops
They don't look bad that way at all but I hate the fact that from the factory the driver's side stack is not functional. You have to go aftermarket to get it hooked up.
@@relaxing_white_noises_by_j1980 agreed a damn dummy stack 😂
It would be nice to see the 579 with dual snacks on the drivers side and oasse m,
What’s the 579 with both left & right big sleeper windows
I would drive it. It’s at least a cool looking aero.
Just needs nice visor make it look mean and some 8” window chops that’s it.
You too can own a JB Hunt truck in any color you choose. Plastic junk you’re probably better to buy almost anything else. To get Peterbilt parts you gotta go thru Totally Ridiculous Prices TRP and you get the satisfaction of knowing they’ve figured out ways to make things overly complicated that don’t work.
I had one spec'd this past winter, 270wb, 18sp endurant, 565 x15 with tax, fet i was at $254k.
If I had the money I would love to get me a truck those are nice
What happened to the white cab over that was in the shop
It’s still in the shop. Slowly but surely coming together
Get rid of the plastic skirts on the bottom, yes.
I always thought it would be cool to trick out an aero truck and that red one will look good. But it's sad when an aerocab looks better than the so called 589 big hood. I'll have to support the W900L as long as kenworth continues to build it
Are you guys going to order any 567?
bring back the 386 style
Nah; modern trucks are not my thing but it's still interesting to see
I want a 389 but I want the fuel economy of an aero truck. Mission impossible! Lol
I love this truck, but I haven't heard good things about the Paccar engine. Can somebody comment on personal experience with Paccar engine?
Is there something wrong with a paccar ?
"Fitzgerald" perterbuilt.
So.. we can't do paccar S60 Detroits any longer? Right??,
what is the stock # for the mid roof that you showed
We just posted it on FB. Stock number 679541 👍
@@SEMICasualShow thanks i found it on the web site
🔥🔥🔥
Hey what’s up bros how y’all doing much love
Can the ordinary man afford any of these trucks? 2800 per month 200,00$
Just hear me out....Hide the stakes, murdered out Metallic black with platinum black flakes in the paint🖤🖤🖤 no chrome
Much rather have one of those than a hood truck, to be honest I don't see the point of a hood truck. Not a huge Cummins fan, so would take the Paccar.
What's the point in having a long wheelbase?
Why can't I find nay info online about them Coronados. I've passed them a bunch, called y'all and cannot get any info.
Not sure… call 888-389-1487 someone will definitely help ya with that.
@@SEMICasualShow well I'll give them a try and see, I know if it's a used Coronado from y'all then it's definitely a solid truck.
Also customize a 567
These are fabulous trucks.
But why do so many people convert Volvo into their own personal RV Hauler for towing their 5th wheel trailers. Most of them say it's the most comfortable and quiet ride.
1980 EXHD 359 Peterbilt 3408 DITA twin stick 6/4. 3:55 rears 11.24.5 tall rubber 63 “ walkin. See ya. Keep on Truck’in 👋🏽👋🏽👋🏽
Whats Downpayment??
❤
im interested in ur truck
I think the 579 is/should be the wave of the future. The 389's are less fuel efficient & look essentially the same as a decade old truck design. Long Hood trucks just seem to ooze 'old & out-of-date' & - Aero trucks aren't just fleet trucks anymore. They cost less to run - which sums-up to a O/O business that's got the best chance to succeed these days. It's an opinion that's getting more traction - car's/pick-up's turned smaller & more money-saving over the years - isn't it time for OTR truck's to catch up? Stubbornly accepting the future, after 38 years - says the guy that watched a video titled like this...
I’ll drive anything other than a Volvo 😂
I Love Peterbilt But I'm Not A Fan Of The Aero Dynamic Peterbilt
👍
