      Saying this on every video has become equally as annoying as people who scream in tornado videos

    • @zakkholguin3942
      @zakkholguin3942 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@davidvaughn9 Might be annoying...but not as annoying unless you have a terrible case of synesthesia in which every word you read literally screams at you in your head.
      At least it's not bad as "if it looks like it's not moving...it's heading towards you."
      While both comments are repetitive and annoying, both serve a purpose. One is to prevent otherwise great footage from being rendered unwatchable (because even though a fair amount of people stopped, there's always that one guy who loves himself he can't NOT be the center of attention even when there's a god damn tornado) and the other is to save lives. No offense taken, I'm just that frustrated with people screaming.

      Lol...I couldn’t agree more...This guy is showing leadership via mature and educated decisions! It brings to mind a compare and contrast situation of one specific person with a post graduate degree! Unfortunately, my opinion of RT rules what I watch, but he has brought that on all by himself...and certainly has nobody else to blame for continued loss of viewers. He is run by his ego and over the years has literally become dangerous to others , as well as himself. He shows little if any ability to control his Adrenalin high for sure...and many younger chasers mistakenly believe he is the model to follow. That’s fine for following his educational path, but his inability to remain calm without his screaming, and his uncontrollable behaviors and his idiotic rants make me worry for the safety of his young followers. I refuse to watch his antics ...and literally change to another channel if he is in a video...he also steals other chasers Thunder to have all eyes on his overinflated ego! It has become based on Profiteering and selling himself for money.

    Lots of comments about the lack of screaming and then the annoyance of the comments about the lack of screaming, etc.
    Question.. Has anyone who posted these comments here been this close to a tornado? Actively chased one?
    I have. When one is that close to something so incredibly ethereal and deadly the amount of adrenaline flowing through ones body, combined with having to be experts at driving, avoiding other drivers, tornado size and path calculations, notifications and ensuring every camera is actually doing its job, results in people acting out of character and doing whatever it takes to keep all that emotion under control. Doing all these things accurately, and calmly, is almost superhuman. That's my opinion after being in a scenario somewhat similar.

    Very professional storm chaser. No "On da ground! On da ground! Tornado! Tornado! Time: (such & such!). Sounded like a great supervisor. Very respectful to his Camara man & others around him. Once or twice sounded a little hyped but gave instructions very respectfully and did not belittle the video photographer by getting nasty or "shushing" him like I heard on other videos. He was very informative, thoughtful, and kept a good head on his shoulders. He made sure he was giving accurate information to the media and was able to place himself & his associates in a safe position relative to the twisters, which is not always easy to do. I would love to be his camera man anytime & would love to go chasing with this guy. Great video. Great work.

      @jonathanbecker8935 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Holy crap, no kidding! That would've def left a mark! At first I thought it was a tumbleweed. But you can hear it hit the road, and that's not any kind of sound a tumbleweed would make against asphalt. It was moving pretty damn fast too, and was also a pretty decent size. I would have no problem believing that it would've easily cut that dude in half. I wonder if he/she knew how close they came?
      Update:. Oh, duh... After further analysis, I've realized that the sound is in fact coincidental and that it's probably a tumbleweed, ha ha. Funny to imagine if it was a big steel sign slicing through the air, about to cut a full grown person in two. For some reason it's always funny when someone escapes a brutal, gruesome death by mere inches and never is the wiser. Don't know why that's so funny, but it is.

Can't imagine what it's like hearing the actual roar of these things up close and personal when driving around in that thick, humid air! The idea of a tornado occurring or continuing at night, after dark, is terrifying.
    Now, whenever I see that darkening of the sky during really warm & humid weather, I look at the forecast and the local Doppler feed. So I guess I'm a much better informed consumer of tornados now, thanks to these fearless storm chasers/scientists. Thanks storm chasers!

He tells them to watch for satellites, and when they tell you (for example) that there may be new rotation over you, you scoff at them and bark, "I know I'm watching." 20:30 the speed in which the new tornadoes are rotating and trying to become a full fledged tornado is massive. If the clouds are moving visually in rotation then the bottom of the cone is moving considerably much faster. The technology that is developed to actually record the speed of clouds or tornadic circulation from the ground will be a game changer and useful for individuals who chase or own property that witness approaching storms/tornadoes.

    would like to see a special storm chaser / first responder tool made: .... a lazer sighter that could reference your location to target debre/structure and use GPS to report the sight of potential injury to authorities.... is no reason something like that cannot be made affordable... or even installed in future cell phones along with the camera for that matter... but.... if you could sight a destroyed structure, click a button ... on the move and be sure at minimum it had been reported... would be a nice thing. ...if you could simultaneously deliver that information to your news station...or weather service... sure wouldn't hurt.
    seems to me... and considering the number of people who love storm spotting/chasing.. seems like a number of opportunities there for some industry...
    would require you to market it well... and these videos would probably be one of many great opportunities for that.

    Supposedly the roping out of the thinner tornado moving around the bigger one,was recorded as the fastest moving tornado over ground witnessed, which is estimated at top speed moving 95mph as it moves left to right in video, moving in front of the larger tornado.
    Which I saw on Pacos Hanks documentary on a specific subject and gave credit to Ben and his channel and co-chasers in the car/truck pursuing the multi visible tornadoes.
    Everything I've typed is possibly incorrect on the names responsible for recording the fastest moving tornado over ground but the actual fact is correct, 95mph ,pretty quick moving cyclone of airflow.

    My Sister was in Moore and was one of the people who was caught in a traffic jam of adrenaline junkies posing as certified storm chasers. There are WAY too many out there and now it's a family vacation to go following storm chasers making it even worse. There should be a rigorous educational course to complete before you start considering yourself professional, otherwise there shouldnt be adrenaline junkies impeding the ability of the local residents evacuating to save their and their family's lives.

      @@cubby091398 You could tell when the first wall cloud reproduced and came back down after the second one had already turned into a wedge; that it came back down as a potential EF5. When you see tornadoes pull down their own wall clouds accompanied by very strong RFD winds, you know it's definitely at EF5 strength.
