Thanks a lot! Did as Gavin Swinehart wrote for version 2023. Increased the numbers further by one (27 in PackageContents and 28 in coolOrange.ThreadModeler). Then closed Inventor and restarted the computer. Got a message that Inventor had blocked the threadModeler, entered Add-Ins and unblocked it,- and there it was in the folder!! 😀👍
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO! you have saved me from spending hours finding out the problem and get it to work in this new version of inventor
I have a standard .ipt file for threads, it has ISO standard geometry for ISO M series threads. All I do is change 2 parameters, diameter and pitch. The geometry changes. I then copy those sketches, internal and external threads and paste them into my .ipt file, constrain the sketches then use the coil tool, for the internal or external thread and thats that. If I cared to use model states it would be simpllified by picking the M size from the browser then copying the sketches.
hocam söylediğniz gibi yaptım oluyor sıkıntı olmadı ama şunu yapamadım deliklere diş açtığımızda olmuyor bunu nasıl yapabiliriz aynı şekilde yardımcı olurmusunuz teşekkürler
Tried this with the 2024 version and currently facing the following issue: The plugin shows up and seems to model the thread correctly, it even shows up in Cura. However, my printer will not make the thread when printing the object. What am i doing wrong?
2024... tried this with Inventor 2024 and it didn't work. So, I just increased the numbers from ir26 to ir28 (SeriesMax=) and then 27 to 29 (on line 11). Worked and printed perfectly.
@@DKLivez_TV When you first start Inventor, make sure you click the Add-Ins under the Tools tab (3:38 in the video). This will open the Add-Ins Manager. Then make sure you check both the Loaded/Unloaded and Load Automatically checkboxes for the coolOrange-ThreadModeler and uncheck Block. That's all I did after changing the numbers I mentioned in my original comment and now the coolOrange feature shows up in the ribbon and works for my Inventor 2024.
@@philosophies7821 oh yeah I figured what's wrong, I was assembly a bunches of part together, I had to go the part itself dor the tab to open up. Thank you!
U need to delete the 11 string in coolOrange.ThreadModeler.Inventor.addin and then it will work, when u'll open inventor again there will be a message that request to unblock the new add-in

Got It working! i have 2023, so I had to increase numbers. Very helpful video
Glad it helped!
Thank you so much! Got this working on Inventor 2025. I set the numbers both to 100 and have no issues.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO! you have saved me from spending hours finding out the problem and get it to work in this new version of inventor
Glad I could help someone else from having to do what I had to.
Thanks so much for this video! I just downloaded ThreadModeler and could not figure out how to make it run. I appreciate you making this video!
For 2023 just increase the numbers further by one
Thank you for adding that information
I love you, it took me to find this advice 4 hours
For the 2024 Version, increase the numbers to 28 in PackageContents and 29 in Coolorange.
what a legend! I was just about unistall and try and go back to inventor 2020... or worse.. fusion.. top man!
Thank you friend. Glad it's useful.
For Inventor 2025, just increase to 29 and 30 instead and it works
thanks dear
Thanks man
Looking for this! 👍
Thank you. It's so strong I've no idea why they won't keep it updated.
I agree. It is a powerful tool.
Thank you, very simple modification but a HUGE time saver !!
Thank you
What are you great video! thank you so much
Fortunately, the link is still updated to the new versions. This was so beneficial
Thank you friend. Glad it is still useful.
Thank you! Working on inventor 2024
Quick note, if using VS Code to edit the files, change line 10 not 11. 11 is version min but you need to change version max for it to work. Thanks

Thank you for share the solution with all.
Glad it helped
Do you know if there is any way to add new thread types, for example PG or ACME. Is this possible like we use to do in threads.xlsx?
Tried this with the 2024 version and currently facing the following issue: The plugin shows up and seems to model the thread correctly, it even shows up in Cura. However, my printer will not make the thread when printing the object. What am i doing wrong?
To be honest, that's nothing to do with the Thread Modeler. You might need to change settings in your 3d printing slicer.
Will look into it, even though i didn't modify any settings in my slicer and it used to work perfectly. Thanks for your response!
Thank you sir!
Thank you so much for making this video, it helped me a lot :)
You're quite welcome
Thanks so much!
Sure thing friend. Glad it helped out.
dear friend, how can I make it work for the 2025 version? I appreciate it
Muchas gracias por este aporte 👍👍👍👍👍👍

Круто, спасибо Вам большое, очень помогли, в версии 2025 заработало
EN LA VERSION 2022 NO FUNCIONA, SABES COMO HACERLA FUNCIONAR??? GRACIAS.

I was able to add the add on but it doesn't show on the ribbon tab at the top, how did you get yours to show up?

@@DKLivez_TV I found out that you have to enter higher number in this mothod (e.g. 29) and it will run in Inventor 2024
In 2024 after changing all like it shows the add-in is not showing up in tools/add-ins. There is no "coolOrange" of any kind
U need to delete the 11 string in coolOrange.ThreadModeler.Inventor.addin and then it will work, when u'll open inventor again there will be a message that request to unblock the new add-in
link??
Gracias amigo trabajando al 100%
Muchas gracias, funcionó perfectamente.
Bro, thank you!
Any way to get it to work on 2023?
update: I increased both numbers by one and it works
cool orange doesn't show in add-ins
Thanks, worked great
Great to hear!
Thanks a million!!
Thank you so much....it works 😁😁😁😁😁🤪
Thank you!!!
Thanks man!
You're quite welcome! Glad it helped.
Any solution for 2023? This is not working. Thanks in advance.

Super Good thank you!
Thanks mate.
Thank you so much
Please but the link in the description. :)

for anyone else If you're on inventor 2024 like me, i change series max to 28 and support to 29
Sorry but it did not work for me.
Thank you so, so much.
You're quite welcome.
