Safety Tip: Never leave your door unlocked and slightly open, even if you know someone is coming up, for safety reasons its safer to just wait by the door for the person to let them in.
Congratulations on your new apartment! The apartment is definitely a bit more old school which is a vibe however, somethings thing to remember about buying an apartment here in NY especially the city…..the location and neighborhood are important, make sure that there’s a grocery store, local deli, and a laundromat near you so that way you don’t have to make a super long walk to, and from your apartment…..in Brooklyn or even Queens, there’s delis or like every street. Make sure that the there’s no spaces or gaps in between the walls, and floors because that’s where pests can come in. As for the things that need to be fixed…..for how much money a luxury apartment in NYC costs, everything should’ve been fixed prior to you moving in.
For your safety, close and lock your windows before you go to bed, when you leave your apartment, and when taking a shower.

Be careful using the green handheld dish wand sponge! The green ones are NOT non scratch, but the blue ones are! I'm sure it will be fine, but my dad had to tell me that the first time he came over to my house, and he told me the green ones can scratch nice dishes sometimes. Anyways, congrats girl! Can't WAIT for the vlogs in this new place!
You could install window sensors and an alarm since others can go on the fire escape!

Cute apartment! That's not a terrace or balcony. It's a fire escape. That being said, you REALLY need to have a fire department approved safety gate on those fire escape windows. Burglars and rapists have been known to enter through those windows.
