I dont often like remakes of this intro cause they often loose the "Microsoft paint" aesthetic but I like this one due to how you take advantage of how this is a reedition and make the transitions a lot smoother than before. Great job 👍👍

BEAUTIFUL! The establishing panning shot showing Peppino's failing business, the (slightly) more detailed backgrounds, the added in-between frames are a beautiful touch.
I really like the way you not only give slight transitions to each scene to make it more fluid, but also presented some of the starting levels near the end to show the player a bit on what is to come as they start it.
I love how the enemies' expressions changes from confident to uneasy when Peppino loses his shit near the end. Like they suddenly realize maybe it wasn't such a good idea to mess with an overweight Italian with an axe to grind.
Shit I didn't even notice that lol, good catch. It's the same reaction the bosses and pizzahead had when peppino loses his shit before the boss rush. They pushed him too far and weren't prepared for the ass whooping
For an amateur looking animation, this is downright awesomely made! The shots, the background, the movement, the bosses montage… I hope some day I can learn to animate something so good like you did!

It isn't imitation though. Remaking, or in this case, reanimating something is not imitation. This animation delivered exactly as advertised. If you claim that the original piece is your own, then that's just simply stealing. There are many semantics that can be used here, but imitation is not a term that could be relevant in this instance. At least, not one I can see.
I love how you subtilely used the tempo of the song to time the animation and shorten the original intro's scenes to add more stuff, the montage before the "Jojo" part was a neat touch
