Bro, there was this retro game, I think it was a tennis game but it was definitely a net based game like badminton or something. The thing is, it was not set in a stadium but in a garden or woods. Like, if you had a casual match during a picnic. Its graphics were simple like a NES game. It had the same vertical perspective as NES Tennis game. I played it for so many hours but cant remember the name.
To me, the most underrated tennis game would always be Grand Slam Tennis for the Wii. The control is absolutely incredible, it is very realistic...but it only works with a Motion Plus controller.
Snoopy Tennis is so much fun. A fun fact is that the spiritual successor to this game came out for the DS. It is titled Tennis Masters. It is good. But not nearly as good as Snoopy Tennis.
Being a German kid in the early 90s, with Boris Becker and Steffi Graf being superstars, I also enjoyed tennis games on my Amiga. I liked Advantage Tennis with its graphics (though outdated today) and ranking (top 100?). And I liked Great Courts 2 for its full tournament schedule with all the real world tournaments at that time, not just 4 grand slam tournaments like most games. You had to pick which tournaments to pick and some were in the same week. A combination of games would have been the perfect tennis game.
Capcom Sports Club doesn't seem to get much attention either - and was quite a bit of fun. Ported as 'Net de Tennis' to the Dreamcast (only in Japan).

Funky Dog on the SNES, it's tennis played on an assault course/minefield.
But is smash tennis, Super family tennis?
Funky Dog sounds amazing tbf. And yes, Smash Tennis is indeed Super Family Tennis. :)
I still bust out Wimbledon on the Sega Master System now and again. As good as it ever was.

“Rafa Nadal might not be the force he once was “ says the author in 2016.
fast forward to 2022 and he’s just won the last two grand slams

"Rafael Nadal may not be the power he once was".... Yeah righ, 11 RG titles and 3 of the last 6 grand slams, he's definitely been playing like shit.
This video was published in 2015. At that time he looked like a fading force.
